i have an acer aspire 4710 laptop running on vista 32 bit. it is not detecting any wireless networks although i am connected hardwired. i know the router is ok since my sisters laptop is currently connected. my wireless switch is on and i checked my wireless adapter under device manager it is enabled. i even tried updating driver, still no good. under network and sharing center i do not have the "manage wireless networks" link. appreciate all the help you could give. thanks

Hi, just wondering why my screen turns pink from time to time, could this be a problem with my monitor or my video card?

whenever i turn on my pc it always display "press f1 to restart or f2 to setup". if i press f1 it will not restart but simply display the same message over and over again. the only thing i do is to manually press the restart button on my cpu to be able to boot normally. this always happen, help please anyone.

We only have 1 tv set so i have no choice but to watch these shows since my mom is a big fan of these programs. the plots and twists of the stories are always the same. there's always these 2 girls fighting over 1 guy like that is the last guy in the world. the female antagonist is always rich, powerful and will stop at nothing to get the guy's affection. she always has goons to implement her evil ploys such as kidnapping the protagonist or killing minor characters. common twist would be the female lead turns out to be an heir of a wealthy whatever and they live happily ever after. i'm not a fan of korean drama but theirs are far much better than ours. are the writers too lazy to think of newer stories and just recycle the old ones? i had my favorite shows like encantadia (a fanta serye which in my opinion is well plotted) and "kung mawawala ka"(this one stars eddie garcia and a political drama). the shows nowadays would just simply change the characters(sometimes they would use super hero characters but the plots are the same), the stars, the settings but its the same old thing. another thing is putting a lot of actors and actresses whose main purpose is to lengthen the show. subplots would be teeny bopper stories. it doesn't have to be a high budgeted show. it doesn't have to be high tech special effects. it just have to have a good story. say for example, damages starring glenn close, it is a legal drama with no special effects but just have a very good plot. probably the filipino audience still wants the old plots that's why the writers is using them or probably they are not giving the audience a choice? the plots and twists are always predictable. thank god there is survivor philippines. the only local show i enjoy right now.

i just felt whenever i go to government offices that employees are not willing to help you. I felt that we should be treated better. Its always frustrating dealing with them. An agency should be monitoring the quality of service they provide to the people just like call centers have quality assurance.

I'm just wondering since they don't have wheels like normal vehicles and what they have don't seem capable to turn.

I was just wondering why sporting events such as basketball allow professional players to participate while sports such as boxing don't (or do they?). Say for example manny pacquiao is a great boxer but he did not play in the recent Olympics(or probably he just don't want to?). Just curious. Thanks

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident; it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man, that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

Flattered, the man replied, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely!"

"This must be a sign from God!" The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

Then she hands the bottle to the man, The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman.

The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"

The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police..."

There was an elderly man who wanted to make his younger wife pregnant. So, he went to the doctor to have a sperm count done. The doctor told him to take a specimen cup home, fill it, and bring it back the next day. The elderly man came back the next day and the specimen cup was empty and the lid was on it. Doctor: What was the problem? Elderly man: Well, you I tried with my right hand...nothing. So, I tried with my left hand...nothing. My wife tried with her right hand...nothing. Her left hand...nothing. Her mouth...nothing. Then my wife's friend tried. Right hand, left hand, mouth....still nothing. Doctor: Wait a minute. You mean your wife's friend too?! Elderly man: Yeah, and we still couldn't get the lid off of the specimen cup.
