  • When is the best time to go to Cedar Point?

We've never been before but LOVE rollercoasters so would like to take a vacation to Cedar Point. When is the best time of year to go for weather and low crowds?

We would like to try out the water park as well and maybe take a day to relax and Cedar Point Beach. We would be staying at one of the onsite properties since we don't plan to rent a vehcile while there.

Any other Cedar Point tips? Is the Flash pass worth it?

  • Just over 2 hour layover time at IAH?

I am visiting Orlando from Calgary, Alberta, Canada this coming spring and am looking to book flights. I am wondering if for my return flights if I fly Orlando to Houston and have a 2 hour 20 minute layover then fly from Houston to Calgary.

Will this be enough time between flights? Or should I look at a different flight option?

(This particular flight is $95/pp cheaper than the next closest price)

  • For Alberta and Canada Income Taxes how to claim rent?

I live in Alberta and last year I rented out a single bedroom in my residence to a friend. I am wondering how/where to claim this money on my 2011 income tax return. I bought QuickTax Basic, but it doesn't mention rental income.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Will my TV freeze outside?

I have an older tube television in my garage (not LCD). My garage is not heated and I was wondering if it will survive the winter in there. I live in Alberta, Canada where its not uncommon for the temperatures to be around -25C (-13F). Should I bring the TV in for the winter months?

  • Easiest way to set up Quickbooks Pro for Church accounting?

Basically I want to keep track of donations and expenses under different categories. For example missions. I'd like to keep track of all the donations made to missions and record all expenses associated with it. Whats the easiest way to enter donations and record expenses without the hassle of making up an invoice and/or a bill for each record? Or any not-for-prfit QB tips would be great!

  • How do I copy DVDs to a USB memory stick?

I am going on a holiday and my notebook computer does not have a DVD drive in it so I would like to copy some DVDs onto my USB stick so I can watch movies on the long bus rides. Is it as simple as just dragging and dropping or is there something else I will need to do in order for it to play properly? I have never tried this before so I am hoping there is a (relatively) easy way to do it.

I have 2 16GB memory sticks, brand new still in the packaging that I would like to use for this.

  • Can you download Quickbooks Software onto more than one computer?

I am going to be setting up the books for a small restaurant. They have asked me to use Quickbooks to get everything set up for them, and then they will be taking over the bookkeeping once things settle down and they are more comfortable with everything. Can we both install Quickbooks on our separate computers using the same CD-ROM? Or will we both need to buy copies?

  • Help me settle an argument. Please.?

So my boyfriend and I are going on a trip and we will be spending 2 nights in hotels. The first hotel we booked was $384/night (it's a theme room and quite luxury) and the next night we will be staying in a room that costs $191/night. HE put the first hotel on his credit card, and I booked the second one on mine. In order to split the price of hotels equally, how much do I owe him?

Please if you don't mind, show how you came up with the answer because this debate has been going on too long and I need to end it!

    Thank you so much!

  • Questions about tipping rates and percentages?

On average what percentage (or $ amount) do you tip these people:

    Waiter/Waitress at a middle-priced restaurant?

Waiter/Waitress at an expensive or fancy restaurant?

    Hairdresser?

    Nail Technician?

    Bell-Hop?

    Bartender?

I realize that the tip amount depends on many factors but I'm just looking for an "on average" amount. Thanks!
