  • help!! I kissed my friend. Well, he kissed me.?

I am *un*happily married. He is our family friend. He's a gentleman and has never flirted with me or given me any indication that he's interested in me. The other weekend we were drinking and found ourselves alone (which we have in the past with no issues) We stayed up all night looking at stars and when i finally stopped talking, he just laid a kiss on me. Like a big one. Then we never spoke of it and I went back home. We still have not spoken of it.

I feel really weird around him now. All the jokes he used to joke with me about suddenly have a sexual undertone (had i noticed this before?? or is this new?)

I'm just confused and looking for anyone who might have some ideas into what that kiss meant or how i should behave.

i do think he's attractive, but we've been friends for 3 years. i don't really see him that way, but since the kiss..... i can't stop thinking of him.

  • Bad behavior, impulsivity and attention seeking behaviors?

My 5 year old son just started kindergarten. He was in a fairly relaxed daycare/preschool in home setting previously. Since attending school, his behavior is off the charts. Hitting, acting out, being defiant and distruptive. He wants to be the class clown. He was identified immediatly and is often put in "time-outs" in the special education room while we try to figure out his why he is not adjusting. He's always been an aggressive and defiant child. We work really hard at home to be consistant but he is always testing limits. We use a reward/consequence system that he understands and it works pretty well "most" of the time. I find his impulsivity at home is the big issue.

At school, they're already throwing around words like "emotionally impaired" I've since had him in an appointment with a child psychologist and we're just starting therapy. The school is doing a lot of modifying for him, but his behavior is making slow slow progress.

He is very smart. His teacher said top 5% of his class. He is able to attend for about the first two hours of school then his behaviors of disrupting the class and acting out start to peak. He's usually removed from the situation. He is learning. For example, he started school not being able to write his full name and in two weeks is able to do so (for the most part). He has a couple friends. But he's pulled out of the classroom/lunchrom so often, I worry about him even having the chance to socialize.

I was just wondering if anyone had any similar issues. I thought we might be dealing with ADD or ODD or some sort of combination....but emotionally impaired? That one threw me through a loop.

I get daily charts from the school regarding his behavior and his day. It seems like they are looking for any little thing. For example, he was chewing food in the lunchroom and opening his mouth to gross out the other kids. He was pulled from the lunchroom for that behavior.

I know I'm doing everything I can for my son....just looking for anyone who has been though anything similar?

  • Sudden pain in my heel?

Two days ago, I suddenly developed some pain in my right heel. I was wearing wet flipflops at the time. I figured I pulled a muscle. The pain seems to ease with motrin. I looked online and it keeps saying its Plantar fasciitis. But I am not exactly "athletic" nor am I overweight. Do you think it's possible I just pulled something? Has this happened to anyone else? I will be seeing a doctor - but you know it takes a while for an appointment. Just curious to see if this has happened to anyone else.

    thanks!

  • My child had ear tubes put in and is still saying he can't hear well?

My son had his tube surgery this morning. He said his "ear that didn't talk" is still broken. I can't tell if he's hearing anything. There's been some drainage. He is a stubborn boy, too. He always says he doesn't want his left ear to work. I know that I am going to get an audiogram in a few weeks but I'm just concerned.

Has anyone else had a similar situation? I'm just worried.

  • Spotting and Faint Positive HPTs?

This is for my sister who is at work and can't get yahoo answers.

At 3 days late - she took many HPTs. Faint lines on the line test, one neg digital. The next day she took the same tests. Faint lines on line test and a positive digital.

Now she's 5 days past her missed period and she got a spot of red blood - now all brown. She said she is crampy and now the blood is spotty and brown.

I guess my question is - has anyone had similar experiences? Is she miscarrying (I miscarried but I was 10 weeks and I feel like I have no advice for her without being negative)

    Please help!

  • Help with birthcontrol pills/period/antibiotics!?

I started my pack of bc pills. Then I got horribly sick with the flu. I missed one day of the first week. Then I started on anit-biotics and missed another day in the second week. I am already spotting a very dark brown blood. Then just yesterday it started to go red. Should I just stop this pack and get a period and start a new pack? If so, how long do i wait to start a new pack? I am two weeks into the pack.

  • almost 8 month old can't seem to make it all night without a bottle?

My daughter has been a good sleeper on and off. Just recently, she's off schedule again and wakes up anywhere between 2am and 5am seemingly starving (and sad). I've been feeding her later, keeping her up, giving her cereal - you name it. Nothing seems to stop this mid-night crying. I've tried comforting her, letting her cry it out - but she seems to be starving. This has been going on for about a month now. I thought it was because she was sick, then I thought it was because she was starting on food.

I don't immediately go to her when she first starts crying. I usually check for her pacifier and lately she's been crying even with that in her mouth.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    additional info:

she sleeps in my room - near my bed. we are in the process of moving her to her own room in a month or so. and she is bottle fed.

  • Curious about baby names?

I am a teacher and hear a million names for kids. I especially hate the popular ones. I just never wanted my kid to be Olivia F. Or Madison 2. Do other people worry about that?

    Grace Rose

    Clare

    Zoe

    Madeline

And also - why do people have to invent the creepiest spelling for kids names? Taigen Korigander - or Grayz Wrose

  • My son hates daycare - what do i do?

My son who will be three in October recently started attending day care - (pre-preschool) a week ago. He had been with me during the summer and nanny before that (I'm a teacher and have summers off) He has been yelling "NO school!" Since Friday. Each morning is a struggle to get him to go. Is this just a phase? Any other parents have experiences like this? Is there anything I can do to get him excited or is this just part of the way it has to be? I know no kid really wants to go to school and leave home/mom/dad etc. I appreciate any thoughts or advice or previous experiences.

  • Baby Sling? Baby Gear?

I have a 2 1/2 year old and now a brand new infant. I was thinking of getting a baby sling to wear to be a little more hands-free but still close to my cuddler. Any ideas/experience - brand suggetions? Also - any moms out there have any ideas for something to put the baby in so the 2 year old can't get her and she can still have fun playing? I have a packnplay, bouncy chair and a swing...but i was hoping for something a little higher where she's more out of reach. Any help (and advice!) is appreciated!

  • A little baby name help.?

I think we're going with Allison as our second child's name.

What do you guys think if we spell it

    Alleson

too weird? i'm not a fan of crazy spelling - but this way has some sentimental value. and i know the name allison has about 10 different ways to spell it, she'll be spelling it out to people anyway.

    And a bonus -

    Alleson Clare

    or

    Alleson Arlene

(both names in honor of my grandma)

    and bonus bonus -

I really love the name Violet -that's the alternative. Do you like it better?

    (naming kids is hard work!)

  • Repeat C-section - what to expect?

I have a repeat c-section scheduled in 9 days. I am worried about what to expect. Anyone have 2 or more? Any advice?

I am also standing in my sister's wedding a week after the surgery. I've got the bigger dress and plan to take it easy. But I'm curious - was recovery harder? Easier? The same?

I appreciate any advice, tips or stories regarding a repeat C! thanks.

  • 12 1/2 month old still eating jar food!?

My 12-almost 13 month old son still refuses to eat table food. He will pick at a pancake, cheerios or a muffin - but is very anti-slimey texture foods.

He is a good eater. But I fear he will never eat "real food". Any similar experiences? Advice? I give him something new each day but it gets ignored. Or he swallows it and shudders then refuses to eat anything that's not mush..

    Help!

    (only serious advice please)

  • Could I be pregnant? Or crazy?

I recently had a baby in October. I had my first period on February 3. I had a few "unprotected moments" on 2/6 and 2/7 (not resulting in ejaculation) and intercourse with a condom on 2/13. It is only a week later and I'm aleady feeling strange uterine cramps/twinges and my breasts are tender and they feel oddly similar to when I was pregnant. Am I just ovulating? Wouldn't it be impossible for me to feel any pregancy symptoms this soon?

Scared to death. Advice? Experience? Therapy?
