You probably will see me most on this site talking down on the Army. I strongly believe it needs to be sliced down by half. It's growing out of control. Soldiers who once served are getting drafted back in for no reason. Discipline is down the drain. There might be a few points where I am wrong, but those are few and far between. I also like lining people out randomly here and there on other questions...especially in the singles and dating! Most of your questions on there are simply answered with "Just do it." Haha! http://www.sadplayer.com

  • Who do you think will win the Massive Man Match tonight at Money In The Bank?

Tonight's going to best PPV we've had in...well, a LONG time! I know everyone has predictions, so here are mine:

I think it will be Big Show, although I would want Mark Henry to win. They'll derail Sexual Chocolate's momentum unfortunately :(

  • Can you plug in 2 controllers in to a PC and use both to play games?

I already have one Logitech F310 Controller and it is awesome, but I'm looking at buying another one so I can play with friends on my laptop as I travel around (Street Fighter IV ftw!) Before I go out and buy it, I was just wondering if it would work like that, or if PC's are only capable of handling one controller.

    Thanks.

  • How do I know which graphics card is running?

On my device drivers list, there is the Intel Intergrated Graphics card and the NVidia 310M Graphics card. How do I know which one is running during certain processes?

I just got a new laptop and it has about the same hardware as my old one, but it isn't running games nearly as smoothly as my old laptop. When I load up Steam, it says I'm running on the Intel Graphics card...

How do I check/change which graphics card is working?

    Thanks!

  • What is your opinion on the National Guard's "Patriot Academy"?

I think it's a terrible idea. There is now no incentive for kids to finish high school who want to join the army. I read on the academy's website that a prospective student to the academy will not accept students who actively quit high school with intent to go to the academy. Oh I'm sure they'll really follow up on that.

    Essentially:

    1. Patriot academy students get full time pay and benefits for up to 9 months to finish their credentials for a high school diploma.

    2. During this time, they have opportunities to work on college credits.

    3. They, on average, could boost their PT score a whole TWENTY FIVE points (of which the academy is extremely proud of for some reason)

    4. They get to learn how to serve their community (are you serious?)

Is there nothing in it for kids who actually finish high school? These patriot academy students haven't even done anything to deserve all these extra benefits...I mean, they go to Summer Camp, attend this academy, then they're released back to their units in the NATIONAL GUARD...

  • How dumb does the Army think we are? Anyone else get this postcard?

Look at this postcard I got in the mail - http://www.sadplayer.com/sta.php#dumb

This goes to show how out of touch and disorganized the Army is. Not only that, but on my recent deployment (one I was drafted back in for), they sent to my house a letter stating that I needed to update my address, hahaha...like I said, this was after they recalled me while I was still on deployment. I especially laughed when there was the option in the letter to extend my IRR time if I wanted to.

Did anyone else get this card?

  • Are we in "conflicts" or in college?

This is something I've always wondered about - why is it that deployed troops have time to get college done while in Iraq or Afghanistan? I understand Fobbits need something to do, but is it fair to those who have to go outside the wire every day and deal with the stress of combat, injury, and death of friends? On my first deployment, my whole company barely had time to even think about just signing up for a college course. It seems like every couple months now they're having graduation ceremonies for those who got their degrees while deployed.

On my second deployment, I had an accident which turned me in to a Fobbit, but I couldn't get myself to start taking classes because I just didn't feel it was fair if not everyone got the chance to do it.

This tells me the government has way too many troops over there not being efficient during a deployment, and therefore American tax dollars go to waste (How DARE I try to use "efficient" and "government" in the same sentence!) If we spent less time worrying about things like this, the wars might already be over, lots of money wouldn't be wasted, and several troops might still be with us today. Anyone have any thoughts?
