  • How to make Microsoft Word 2010 default for opening documents from the internet?

I have Windows 7 and recently I had to download WordPerfect X4 in order to open documents from my job. However for school, all the teachers use Microsoft Word, which is what I use regularly. Now, every time I try to open a document that should open as Microsoft Word it automatically goes to WordPerfect, which messes up the original Microsoft Word documents. How can I make Word my default again? When I right click the links for the Word documents, my options are:

    Open

    Save Target as...

    Print Target

    Copy

    Copy Shortcut

All Accelerators > Find More Accelerators, Manage Accelerators

    Add to Favorites...

    Add to Google Photos Screensaver

    Open with WordPerfect

    Properties

I'm using Internet Explorer by the way, this is driving me crazy.

  • Are these shoes cute or ugly?

I'm debating on buying these shoes. I keep bouncing back and forth between thinking they are old school and cute, and they are old man-looking and ugly. What do you think? In the tan-multi color:

I definitely think the ones in just tan or black are too man looking, but I think the white and tan might make it look a little more femine.

  • What is the name of the song with Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock?

I've heard it a million times and I think it's with Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock but I don't know the name of it. Some lyrics are "I put your picture away, I wonder where you've been, I can't look at you while I'm lying next to him." And it says the same in the guys part. Is it available on iTunes?

  • Weird song I heard (some lyrics)?

I heard it in Wetseal and felt weird about asking what the name of the song was...It was very simple, and it was a girl with a very small voice simply listing things like this:

    As quiet as a mouse,

    As big as a house,

Then in the middle would say:

    Aaaaahhh....I want to be...

Then would start over with the "As...as a..." lyrics

I know it's not much but it's been bugging me...

  • How many eggs should I use to replace 1 1/2 cups egg substitute?

I have this quiche recipe, but I don't have any egg substitute (and I don't really like egg substitute anyway) that the recipe calls for, so how many eggs can replace the substitute?

  • How to prevent these brownies from being too dry (recipe in details)?

I have this recipe I love to use, but the brownies always come out dry. What should be added/changed to prevent this from happening?

    1/2 cup sugar

    2 tablespoons butter or margarine

    2 tablespoons water

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

    2 eggs

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2/3 cup all purpose flour

    1/4 teaspoon baking soda

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. Line 9-inch square baking pan with foil, extending foil over edges of pan. Grease and flour foil.

    2. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter and water; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Immediately add 1 cup chocolate chips stir until melted. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; stir into chocolate mixture. Spread batter into prepared pan.

    3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of pan.

There's a carmel recipe that goes on top, which is where the other chocolate chips go. I don't prepare the pan like it says, I just grease the bottom of it. However, it's not just the edges of the brownie that are dry, it's the whole thing. So what should I change?

  • A few questions about ancestry.com?

My mom I went to our library where they have a library edition of ancestry.com. My mom wanted to look up her father's death notice info, whom we were told had passed away. When we looked him up, we couldn't find his name in the Social Security Death files (he had a social security number). My questions: How long does it take a person's death information to be put into the ancestry.com database? If the person is dead, do they get put into the database no matter what? Are there any other things that would have showed up about his death, other than the social security one? I just wasn't sure why we couldn't find anything about his death, because we found out his birth, marriages, and where he lived information, but not his death.

  • When is the best time to apply for a job (in this case at Subway)?

I'm going to try to get my first job and I was going to apply at Subway. I'm not sure when I should apply because my sister just got fired from working at a restaurant and says places won't hire after holidays or before taxes (which is now). So, when should I apply?

  • What causes a song to be labeled as "explicit" on iTunes?

I know obviously curse words cause the label, but I've heard many songs that clearly say the "F" word multiple times, and aren't given the explicit label. Then I hear songs that say the "S" word like once or twice, and that song is given the label.

I don't really care about songs having curse words, but I was curious as to what makes a song get the label, like is it a certain amount of curse words, how they're used...etc. Just wondering :P

  • I need help figuring out the power/current rating and voltage on an appliance?

For a physics extra credit thing, I need to find the power or current rating and voltage on an electric appliance (I'm choosing my TV). There are these three numbers and I don't know which ones which:

    100-240V 60-50Hz 1.2-0.6A

And why do they have the dashes in between? I know how to convert any of these if I need to, it needs to be in watts or kilowatts.

  • Help with Spanish translations? Involving "wrapping gifts"?

Please don't just type it into a translator!!!!! I tried to type it in and it kept coming out weird. I'm doing a gift wrapping thing for my school, and a few people who don't speak English wanted to know what the booth was for, but I didn't know how to tell them in Spanish it was for wrapping gifts. So, some phrases I'd like to know:

    We wrap gifts

    Gift wrapping

    We'll wrap your gifts

Bring us your gifts, and we will wrap them.

The cost depends on the size: small, medium, or large.

I don't necessarily need all of these, but some would be helpful. Thank you :)

  • How do I fix frosting that's too chocolatey (too much cocoa)?

It's at a pretty good consistency, but it tastes like it has too much cocoa. What's the best thing to add to combat this? I was thinking either powdered sugar or butter but I don't want to ruin it.

  • Does this sentence make sense?

"After accepting their cataclysmic loss of innocence, teenagers question their purpose in life, and where they are meant to go."

As far as using "cataclysmic" because I know a cataclysm is mostly related to a geological catastrophe, but it can also just mean disastrous, right? I just don't want to be questioned on it...

  • Any good rock/metal music with some screamo?

I've been trying to find at least one good band with a good screamo. I want someone who has a deeper scream (if that makes any sense) because a lot of suggestions I get are guys with raspy little screams. Just a good, strong screamo person. Like I recently found a Linkin Park song "Blackout" and I like Chester's screams in it, but like I don't really like A Skylit Drive's screamo person (or them in general but that's a different story :P) Whether you agree with me or not on the screams, whatever, but I want some good bands! Or at least some good songs...

Yes, I am picky, but please help me!

  • Do you have any weird superstition-type things that you follow?

Like I never walk under ladders, and I always throw salt over my shoulder when I spill salt! Oh, I always check behind the shower curtain and door when I go into my bathroom. Haha just weird paranoia stuff, what ones do you follow, or do you not follow any?
