  • Any treatments, remedies, help for "processing disorders"?

I am an adult, not sure if I have a sensory processing disorder or not. I have tons of the checklist symptoms.

    1) Is there a specific type of doctor that can diagnose/treat this? If so, what type of doctor?

    2) Any advice on ways I can help myself without going to a doctor, special diets, supplements(vitamins, herbals, etc. preferably legal), other suggestions

    3) Any other advice, suggestions, things that might help, other conditions or things that could be solving these problems?

    ISSUE:

    1) I tend to get very panicky, irritable, "just can't take it" to things that don't seem to bother other people. Loud noises and visual input in grocery stores. Crowded places, restsurants, etc.

    2) So far, what seems to help is: being in nature, petting animals, sleep when it is deep and restful.

This is starting to really inhibit my life, as i have to change where and when I grocery shop, I avoid going to most restaruants, loud music in public places--well, other people don't think it is too loud, things other people do in everyday life, that I cognitively know are normal, but just seem intolerable to me (roommates, work environment, etc.)

    3) It's as if other people hear, see these things and quickly dispense them as "not important" and filter them out (quit hearing them) while my brain goes onto overload, because it hears EVERYTHING and I can't seem to block it out, or let it go like other people do. Like I have to be hyper vigilant and keep all this information in my head.

    Thank You!

  • Tenant's Legal Right to be Present during final walkthrough?

I live in Texas and have been told by the rental agency that it is their "policy" that I am forbidden to be at the final walkthrough. They want me to just relinquish the keys to them and 'trust' them. I did this years ago, and even though I took pictures with the newspaper stating the date, I was still fraudulently charged for things that were not accurate. Since then, I have attended every walkthrough with no problems at all and turnover the keys to management at that time. Any advise is helpful as I do not want to feel like the victim and feel I am in the legal right.

    Thank you.

  • How to become fashion savvy?

I am midde aged, and would like to up my work, business casual, wardrobe. I know jewelry, shoes, style, handbags all work together to make an outfit. Somehow I just can't get it to all work for me. I have tried watching the show, "what not to wear" but can't seem to apply it to my own life. I have asked fashionably dressed friends, but they either don't want to help, or can't explain it to me in a way I understand. Personally, I could live in jeans and t shirts and never use make up or fix my hair, but that will not help me career wise. I appreciate ANY advice, tips, where I can learn this stuff, etc Thanks for helping out!

  • Fashion advice.?

I bought an off-white top. It is sweater material, 3/4 sleeves, brown buttons(as decorations) on sleeves, and it has a cowel neck. . Now that I have it with my other clothes, it just seems boring. Necklaces don't seem to work well because of the cowl neckline, and a belt didn't help either. It just seems so boring. Any advice on how I can make a stylish outfit with this? (I am not a fashion person so please use terminology that I can understand and relate to. Thanks in advance. Oh, I am midde-aged so it needs to be appropriate for my age. Also looking to make a casual business outfit from it. Thanks again!

  • How can I get yahoo mail to quit saving every e mail numerous times?

Yahoo now apparently updates every three minutes. Nothing wrong with that, but is there some button I can hit that will cause it to delete the previous save each time it saves something new? My draft box is inundated with too much unnecessary cr*p.

    Thanks

  • Wanting to start my own tutoring business. Any marketing suggestion, biz card, brochures, website, etc.?

Also, any idea on where to pass out/post said flyers. I am trying to stay relatively within one radius, unless I could work it out where I would be in certain parts of town on certain days.

Any other suggestions/advice are welcome. I am new at this, but really want to be successful enough so that this can be my only job.

    Thanks

  • Does anyone have any natural or over the counter remedies for depression/stress/anxiety?

Please don't tell me it is all in my head, or to go exercise, or to think happy thoughts. Done that, didn't work. I don't have insurance so seeing a shrink, psychiatrist, psychologist are not an option, and I am NOT signing up for Obamacare. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Why won't my printer print?

Yesterday, my printer worked fine. Today, I went to print, apparently I had turned it off too early, as there were still projects in the que. I didn't need them. Tried to delete, nothing. Long story short, I did delete all things to be printed, but now my primter won't work at all, the computer says "offline, paused"

I have searched the net, tried a variety of things including rebooting my computer. It is still offline and paused. I have a Hewlett Packard Deskjet F420 if that helps.

Please, someone be able to tell memhow to get my printer to work.

    Thanks so much.

  • where can I buy jeans that fit?

I am a middle aged woman wear around a size 8 or 10. Proportionally, I have much bigger hips than my waist. I.e, if the pants will get over my hips, they are miles to big on the waist. If they were to fit the waist, I would have to lose about thirty pounds in the hips. Any suggestions on stores, or brands that might fit me well. Would prefer dressier jeans to just casual ones, but at this point, not being too picky.

    Thanks in advance!

  • depressed several times a day?

I suffer from what I and many others who know me consider to be depression, to the point of suicide, several times a day or week. However, when I go to doctors, they tell me they cannot treat me for depression as my episodes do not last for at least two solid weeks.

I am really more interested in how I can treat this and feel better than just having a "name for it". However, having a name would at least help my internet search. So far, I have found nothing.

    Thanks in advance!

  • What beauty treatment do I need to do to my face?

    Hi,

I am middle aged, 50’s. Lately, I have noticed skin thickening by my right nostril. When I apply foundation and powder, they look "flaky" in this area as the skin is not smooth. I have tried tons of moisturizers, but that doesn't seem to be working. I am considering exfoliation again, but was told previously be an aesthician that I shouldn,t do that as that was what was causing my skin to be red.

I use dermablend foundation, which is pretty thick, but it does cover the red. I also use their powder. Any tips will be helpful. Also, I just have this in the right side of my face, closer to the nose area.

    Thanks so much!!!!!

  • How to make my make-up stay on longer?

By noon, my make up is starting to fade and disappear. By the end of the workday, I look extremely worn out becuase all the eye shadow has fallen beneath my eyes, and everything else has worn off.

Do I need to just carry make-up with me and reapply every few hours, or are there special tricks or certain types of make-up to make it last all day?

If I do have to carry it with me, any advice on how, like a little bag in my purse, or what. Do you keep duplicates of everything so you have a "to-go" back and your regular make-up? I need help!

    Thanks

  • What is the best way to store my make-up?

Now that I am getting more into make-up and multiple blushes, eye shadows, etc. Should I store them by category, i.e. all blushes together, the ones I use most frequently, the ones that go best together. Looking for good advice, and also if you have any tips on where/how to store it, like little make-up bins, empty boxes, or other good stuff.

    Thanks so much!

  • Gardening Help: How can I decorate my yard, when I am not allowed to dig it up?

Much of my yard I can not dig up to plant a garden because of electrical and other kinds of cables that are too close to the surface. I found an old tire, and was wondering if I just set in on top of my dirt, and fill the tire with dirt and plant a flower inside, do you think the dirt will stay in the tire and the flower will be able to bloom and grow? If not, any other suggestions for how to maximize my land?

    Thanks

  • Does anyone have any natural remedies for extreme mood swings?

I just want to be happy. I have gone to psychiatrists and they won't give me medication because I do not STAY depressed for at least two weeks without being happy. My moods right now usually vary from day to day. I am looking for something such as herbal remedies, vitamins, homeopathic remedies, etc. Something I don't need a doctor's prescription for but will help not just level out my moods but help me be relatively or even very happy as well.

    Thanks!

  • How do I keep my files from going to "read only"?

I am writing files and want to close them. Somehow I am apparently doing something because when I trr to save it I get a message that says it is in "read only" form and I have to rename it to save it. This is very annoying. Apparently I am inadvertantly doing something to "put" it in read only. How can I prevent this.

    Thanks so much!

  • Is it my computer, or their website?

I have a dinky HP mini. Everytime I try to go on a site with a lot of graphics like goodreads.com or dailyfeats.com it takes FOREVER to load, and the website shuts down most of the time.

    1) Is there something I can do/add to my computer to make it run faster/useable?

    2) Is it their website and it happens to everyone and it is just poor construction on their part and there is nothing I can do?

    3) If I buy a new computer do I need to get a "stronger/more powerful" system so it can handle sites like this, and if so, what specifically do I look for?

    Thanks!

  • How can I find "scrapbook" letters on-line?

I am making a newsletter in Publisher. I am trying to get "fancy letters" ( alphabet letters that are drawn fancy that look somewhat like scrapbooking letters) to write words.

When I go to "insert clip art" and enter letters, or letters of the alphabet, I get 1 letter, like the letter "K" and I am looking for all the letters so I can copy and paste the ones I need to spell the words I want.

    Thanks so much!
