Hi.

I there a decent free alternative to iClone out there? I don't want much. Just a program where I can custom make a human model with a rig and clothing for free. I don't understand why this is so hard to find... LOL. But, seriously, I'm basically asking for a program no more complex than the Sims 3's Create-a-Sim. I can get THAT game for $20, but god forbid I find a free, good stand-alone program that works the exact same way. Sorry for the rant, but I am trying to make a game with Unity and I would like to be a bit creative with my characters, but I can't find a damn program that lets me do that for free. I shouldn't have to plunk down hundreds or thousands of dollars to make a free game! Any suggestions are welcome and thank you. Again, sorry for the rambling. :D

Hey, guys. I have a problem with my PC version of Skyrim. There is a delay between me pressing a button and the effect actually happening. Like a noticeable 3/4 second delay. I experience this with keyboard and mouse, as well as xbox controller and the effect is worsened if I'm playing in 3rd person. I have tried many fixes to this problem...

- I am playing on 800x600 (lowest resoution possible) with fade distance set low (can only see people and small objects if they are 20 feet or closer to me)

- I think V-Sync is off

- My bMouseAcceleration=0

- I use GameBooster

- My mouse acceleration is set to 0 in all cases.

As you can see, I have used quite a few fixes, yet I still have control lag, or input lag. I have good ram and good hard drive space (1.5 TB HD) My graphics card is not that great (Intel HD) but, I don't experience any frame stutters or anything visually unappealing. I just experience input lag. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I don't consider myself a bad player, so please don't say I am (Prestige 2, Level 25, 1.05KD) But, keeping that in mind, why does the matchmaking system always seem to try and pit me against guys who are like Prestiges 7-Master? It is ridiculous. I lose a lot of games and either end with a low KD or a 1.00 KD (Kills and Deaths amounts are the same) I just don't get it. Is there a way to try and look for people that are exactly my skill level? I just don't get why all of a sudden I am getting into overwhelming games.

One big thing with the UN now is that they have an entire section on their website devoted to Peace and Security. The UN's members have frequently mentioned the phrase several times in the last few years, too. So, what do you think? Is the UN trying to insult or prove false the Bible Prophecy that the world will take an unfathomable turn for the worse once Peace and Security is proclaimed? Keep in mind, this is not a question to cause rants, fights or to troll atheists. I am asking an honest question and want honest, humble answers. Please don't come in here to say some crap like "Who cares, the bible deserves to be mocked, anyway." or some crap like that. Just tell me what you think about all this sudden emphasis on Peace and Security and whether or not you think the UN is trying to prove an ulterior point.

I am asking this, not as a rant or to try to start a rant party. I am simply asking for your opinion. Maybe a better way to word this is, which genre do you think is more degrading or embarrassing to society? Personally, I think 'Rap and Hip Hop' are the worst of the two, simply because, while people complain that metal is too harsh, Hip Hop isn't any better with constant swearing, sometimes super-explicit lyrical content and for just being too darn predictable. Every hip hop, pop and rap song these days are either just not good or more explicit than an 80's Eddie Murphy stand-up routine. I believe that with the lyrical content of most of today's mainstream music, I'm surprised people let their 5 year old kids download them and listen to them every day. If I had a kid, I'd much rather have him listen to something hard but meaningful like 'Fade to Black' by Metallica than something soft but just retarded like 'Stupid Ho' by Nicki Minaj. What do you think?

Hi, all! I am a drummer and I have two friends that are guitarists and bassists. We like to get together and jam to some metal, but we're trying to stay away from the heavier side of metal (Death Metal and such...) Recently, I heard some symphonic metal. Particulary bands like Epica and Nightwish. I heard them and really liked their sound and thought it would be neat to make music like that. Only problem is, I don't have Bill Gates' money so I can't go out and buy as random orchestra. LOL! So, I am wondering if you guys know any good MIDI programs like FL Studio or LMMS that are preferably free and designed for orchestra and symphony? If you need any more detail, please ask and I'll add it into the extra details. Thank you!

Chapter 1

It was 7:30 in the morning. The alarm clock beeped 5 times, before an arm flopped over and slapped the ‘Off’ button.

Craig awoke from his double bed and slowly crept up from his lying position. He put on some clothes, walked slowly down the hallway, leaning his hand against the wall at each step, and knocked on Andrew’s bedroom door.

“It’s time to go.” said Craig, through the still-closed bedroom door.

Andrew woke up, still quite tired. But, regardless, he stretched himself and grabbed a suit from his closet. After a few minutes, he opened his bedroom door, and walked out of his room, carrying the clothes he slept in to the dirty laundry basket.

On his way through, he stopped at the end of the hallway to listen in on what his dad was saying. He started a conference call with two phone numbers. Once both of the call receivers picked up their phones, Craig depressingly said a short phrase...

“It’s time to wake up and get going. You know where to go and, please, no in-laws or little ones.”

Andrew started to walk again as Craig hung up his phone, dug his forehead into the arm laying on the wall, and let out a long sigh.

Once Craig and Andrew were dressed up, they got into their cars and left. After about 25 minutes of driving, they arrived at their destination. They got out of their cars and walked up a set of stone stairs. They sat on a bench for a few more minutes and, eventually, another car pulled up. Craig’s oldest son, Daryl got out of the car, with a bundle of flowers in his hand. He walked up and sat on the bench with Craig and Andrew and they started to talk amongst themselves.

A little while into their conversation, a second car pulled up. A woman - Jennifer - Craig’s daughter, dropped her high-heel shoes on the ground and slipped her feet into them. She stood up out of the car, then, and she shut the door. Craig, Andrew and Daryl stood up from the bench, and all three started walking toward a decorative stone, with a deep container built into the ground in front of it. Jennifer placed her bundle of flowers into the container and the group of three looked solemnly at the writing on the stone...

Craig looked around, and then said: “I’d like to have a moment of silence, to respect your mother... my wife...”

No one objected, and they stood around the grave mourning quietly.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, they hear a door slam. It turned out that Jennifer had actually brought her husband, Rick to the one-year anniversary of Jeanne’s death.

He abruptly and loudly said: “Jennifer, are we going out to eat, or what?”

Instantly, Craig grew hot with anger and turned toward Jennifer.

“Why did you bring Rick here, Jennifer?”

“I-I...”

“I thought I made myself clear; No children, and no in-laws! He is not part of this family and the children are just too young to understand. That is why I didn’t want the in-laws here!”

Rick, hearing what Craig said, shouted: “Hey, man! Don’t tell me I ain’t part of this family! I married your daughter; I am a part of this family!”

Craig responded, sternly: “Not in this aspect, you’re not. This isn’t your mother... this isn’t your wife. This is our lost loved one and it is intended to be a private gathering when we come here.”

“Craig, you gotta stop holding onto this, like it’s a special family gathering... ok, it’s not like it’s Christmas or Thanksgiving. Your wife died! That’s a personal matter, I’ll give you that. But, nothing about this is private!”

As Craig was starting to walk toward Rick, Jennifer stopped him, sighed and said: “I only brought him because he insisted that he come.”

Craig said, in disbelief: “You mean he demanded he come...”

“Dad, no... it’s not like that.”

Craig threw his hands up in exasperation and said: “Oh... don’t give me that bullcrap. Let me tell you something. You’re soft. You listen to everything he says without an ounce of thought as to what it sucks out of your life, and of our private matters!”

“Dad, when I listen to my husband and do something he asks of me, it’s called respect. Also... you know, he does have a point. There’s a difference between a personal matter and a private matter. This... is not a private matter; it’s a personal matter and a family matter. Rick is family!”

Craig looked around and then lowered his head in disappointment. “You know, I thought you would be better than that. I thought you would be better than taking my son-in-laws side in something he doesn’t have anything to do with... and, out of every day you could disrespect me like this, you choose the one-year anniversary of your mother’s death! Maybe you should just leave with him.”

“But, Dad...”

“Just go... I don’t need this happening on so difficult a day as this.”

Hey, guys. I want to start writing a book, that looks to be very elaborate to me. It's a book that sorta revolves around the same style of the TV show 'Parenthood' or a more serious 'Modern Family'. What I mean by that is, it's supposed to be a book about 3-4 families that are related to each other, with each member of each family going through their own ups and downs, and how, while their problems are very different from each other, they still all tie in with each other and support each other, because they're family.

Anyways, my real question is, do you have any tips about being creative and elaborate with a book like this, or any book, really? I don't need help with the nitpick-y stuff like grammar and punctuation. I mean what I could do to fully personalize and design each character. How to find the perfect mix of dialogue and story... Things that make the story a story. Thanks for the help!
