  • Can I use 2 yellow video RCA cables to replace a yellow and white RCA cable?

I got an awesome retro nintendo system for Christmas. But, it came with really cheap RCA cable connectors and one broke already. It only has 2 wires, a yellow video and one white audio. Since I can't find another yellow/white cord, it must have been custom made for it. I'd like to step up the quality and length of the cords, so I don't have another breakage. I could buy a red/white/yellow cable and just not use the red. But, I found a good deal on a single yellow video cord, that I could buy 2 of for less than the price of a triple cable. What should I do?

  • What happens when you mistake sulfuric acid for nitric acid?

Apparently, its pretty bad according to this: http://www.big1059.com/cc-common/news/sections/new...

But what exactly, would happen? Was it an explosion, was a dangerous gas released, would there have been flames? The story doesn't really explain why it was such an emergency.

  • Can you freeze parsnips?

I just cut up some parsnips for a pot roast. But I think I have too much. Can they be frozen and used later? I've never heard of frozen parsnips, so I'm worried they don't freeze well.

  • Does Obama ever go to Camp David?

You used to hear about Camp David all the time with our last few presidents. I've never heard about Obama going there. What's up with that?

  • What is a good toddler winter coat?

I need a winter coat for my toddler. I want it to be warm, but not too stiff or bulky. I want it to be comfortable when he's strapped into his carseat. I would appreciate links to specific coats, if possible.

  • How do day cares manage very young infants?

My baby was (and still is) a high need baby. I can't imagine him in a day care setting, especially when he was 6 weeks old. Now that he is almost 6 months old and can sit up, I suppose he could sit and play with toys and interact with other sitting babies. But before babies can sit up, how in the world do day cares take care of infants?

  • American Association of Pediatrics recommendations on starting solids?

I've heard a million times in a million different places that the current recommendation of the AAP is to wait to start any solids until 6 months. But I can't seem to find the actual recommendation and their specific reasons. Can anyone find a link to the actual recommendation, directly from the AAP concerning the introduction of solid foods to infants?

  • How can I find a freezer part that it is discontinued?

The seal on my freezer door is leaking. You can see that the gasket is not sealing properly, and ice quickly "grows" inside around the door. So it obviously needs a new gasket.

But I've searched for my part on several appliance part websites and I can easily find my part but each site says that it is discontiued!!! The appliance is kinda old, it came with the house, but it isn't exactly ancient either. Is it OK to just use any freezer door gasket with the same dimensions?

  • What should I do with excess pie filling?

I just made a pumpkin pie from scratch. But I have quite a bit of filling that didn't fit into the pie crust. I don't have anymore pie pans, and I'm not interested in making anymore pie crust anyways!

What else could I make with pumpkin pie filling? How could I make it into a bread or some cookies or something?

  • What do I do with my new roses?

I got some roses earlier this year for my garden, and now its fall and we have a few nice days here in Ohio. What do I do to "winterize" them now? They are climbing roses if that matters.

My husband and I are avid gardeners, but we are new to roses.

  • How to buy "World at War" DVD's?

I'd like to get the time-life "World at War" videos for my Dad for Christmas. But I don't know which to get. There are old ones, and new 30th anniversary ones. I've heard that the new ones are missing some good parts. The commercial on TV said there was new "never before seen" video. But is the old version really the better version?

  • How to care for spring clearance bulbs?

I picked up some gladiolus and lily bulbs on clearance. They are supposed to be planted in the spring. Of course, they were packed for this spring, and which is why they are so cheap now! How should I best take care of them to get them to grow next year? Should I plant them now, while we still have a month or so of warm weather? Or should I store them, and how, until spring?

  • Would you buy doggie tooth wipes for your dog?

I'm trying to develop an all natural doggie tooth wipe that would be easy for people to use daily on their dog. You would use one pre-treated wipe daily, and just give their teeth a wipe to remove some plaque. Would this be something people would buy? It would be a quick, easy, natural option for brushing their teeth.

  • Why is Pharmaceutical Sales so difficult to get into?

I am a seasoned Veterinary Technician, and I've been looking into a new career in sales. The first most obvious choice seemed to be Pharmaceutical Sales. I have a very good base knowledge of drugs, I learned about them in school, I administer them at work, sometimes I even help the vet choose drugs! I have excellent customer service skills that are based in selling drugs to pet owners! I am comfortable working with the decision maker of small businesses. (Hello...my boss is a practice owning veterinarian, whom I work with every day!!!) I also have a 4yr degree in Biology!

So I don't understand why I can't get an interview, or a meeting, or a phone call. I've sat through so many presentations from other pharm reps, and I can sooooo do a better job than them!

My basic question is "What's the deal with Pharm sales?" *said in my best Seinfeld voice*

  • Can I fix my A/C myself?

I have a 95 Chrysler Concorde. The A/C hasn't worked in years. I've been told that the compressor went bad. If I bought a used compressor on e-bay, could I install it myself and would it likely work again?

I can change the battery myself. And I figured out how to change the climate controls myself (it broke and I bought a new one on e-bay and fixed it myself). The only reason I don't change my own oil is that its messy and I don't really have a place to do it.

Anyways, how bad could it be, its already been broken for years?!?
