Drug test question.......?
So I got an internship for this summer about a month ago. I had to take a drug test after signing the offer letter which I did right away. However, today I get called and told that the sample was "misplaced" (by either the hospital that took the sample or the lab that was suppose to test it). Now they want me to retake the test. I am just wondering what this means. Did I fail the first time and is this a follow to make sure or is it a possibility that they really lost it?
It was a hair drug test. I have 1.5" of hair which apparently corresponds to 90 days of drug history. The last time I smoked was just over six months ago and it was the only time I did in the last two years.
I'm thinking they probably just lost it, but I'm asking for anyone's opinion just to see...
Thanks!
6 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoIpod doesnt show up when connected to computer!?
I tried to update my ipod just now, and now my ipod wont turn on or connect to my computer. I tried restarting/reseting it, but all it does is show the apple, gets bright, turns off, and then turns back on again. It does this a couple times and then just turns off. Like I said, it won't turn on and wont show up in my computer. I would greatly appreciate any/all help!

2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoWhat are some engineering jobs that are fun?
I will be graduating in a year and a half with a degree in civil engineering and I am at a crossroads right now. I really dislike my classes but I have gone way too far, put in too much time, and done too well to switch majors now. I am going to a good engineering school but it really isn't known for much else. I want to move into a career where I use some of the skills and knowledge that I have learned but work more with people than I do would with computers and equations.
I am pretty open ended to answers and have no problem changing directions completely when I graduate so please throw any and all suggestions out there...I will be very, very appreciative.
BTW: my passion is in politics and finance.
Thanks very much in advance!!
6 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoUnderage drinking ticket....at 20 years old, 11 months, and 23 days!?
So I messed up over this past fourth of July weekend by going to a concert and getting a drinking ticket. I wasn't doing anything wrong just standing there with my friends (who were 21) and watching the concert when a security guard notices I don't have a wristband on and pulls me off. I explain I have 8 days left until my brithday, but due to the fact that he has a worthless job, he goes on a powertrip and sends me off to the cops. I explain to the cops I wasn't doing anything wrong and I have 8 days until my brithday with nothing on my record so far. They tell me they have to give me the ticket because the security company double checks that stuff, otherwise the cop said hed let me go. Anyways, what is my best course of action? I got the ticket in La Crosse WI. I am thinking about pleading not guilty and talking my way out of it but I heard you can lose your license. My ticket says just a $222 fine. Whats my best course of action? Any help is appreciated!
8 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago"Cable band detection failed" Olevia 437?
Hi everyone,
I have had my Olevia 437 for well over a year and have had no problems with it until this week when I moved into a new apartment. Previously I have been getting cable from a box and then sending the signal from the box to the tv with the yellow/red/white cables and everything worked fine. But now I am in a apartment were I just plug the cable into the wall, search for channels and go. But when I do "auto search" I get an error message:
"Cable band detection failed. Please search for cable band manually."
What does this mean? I used all the other options to search for channels and none of them find anything. How do I search for the cable band manually? Or is something wrong with my TV? I know there is signal in the wall and that the cord is fine, so what might be the problem?
BTW: The channel search options are HRC, IRC, Standard, and Auto. The Auto Channel Search is the one not working...
Any help appreciated!!!
Thanks!!!!
2 AnswersTVs1 decade agoLG Phone alarm?
I just got an LG UX 565 phone and am having problems with the alarm. It will only ring if the phone is on ring. If the phone is on vibrate, the alarm will go off, but on vibrate only which isn't enough to wake me up. I usually have my phone on vibrate so I don't want to have to turn my phone to "ring" every night in order to have my alarm ring the next morning. If anyone can tell me what I need to do to get my alarm to ring when my phone is on vibrate, I would appreciate it much!!!!
3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoRash diagnosis?
Something weird happened today. I woke up and I have this rash on my right arm and hand. There is a blob on the top of my hand (directly below my knuckles) and another one about the same size about two inches away on my wrist. The rashes have a distinct end point -they don't just fade away into my healthy skin. The rest of my body is fine and like I said they just popped up overnight.
The symptoms are basically it just feels really hot like I am holding the back side of my hand and wrist right over the top of a stove. Other than that, I feel find. I can't think of anything that would have caused it, but anyone who can maybe point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
TIA
2 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoWhy is my computer slow?
Lately my computer has been running abnormally slow. This includes everything from the internet to opening up documents. It is a gateway lap top and has had no previous problems at all (its going on three years old). Anyways there are no viruses and I did a disk defragmenter. There is plenty of memory left too. Any ideas what it might be? Any help would be appreciated!
10 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoYou are walking from point A to point B....?
On your way, your distance from A to B gets cut in half, then in half again, then in half again, then in half again. It keeps getting cut in half an infinite number of times until the halves become microscopic. But no matter how small it becomes, the distance that you have remaining from where you are to where you want to be (point B) can still be cut in half again. Do you ever really get to point B or is there just too many halfway points to cross that you never really get there?
