3 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoHow do I pay for medical treatment in the UK?
If I visit the UK on holiday, obviously I am not entitled to free treatment from the NHS.
If I'm sick in the UK how do I go about paying for treatment? Do I need to pay upfront, or will the hospital claim directly from my insurance company?
4 AnswersOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoWhat should I do if I'm ill while on vacation in America?
I appreciate that systems probably vary, but could anyone give me a basic rundown on what to do if I'm ill while on vacation in America?
Should I go to a hospital? Or somewhere else?
How about paying fees? Do hospitals expect payment at the time? Or do they usually claim payment directly from the insurance company?
If anyone could direct me to a good website offering advice that would be great :)
4 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoShibuya and Harajuku, Tokyo. Opening times?
I'm wanting to visit both Harajuku and Shibuya, probably in one afternoon+evening. I'm not really that into shopping. I just want to go to have a look around, maybe pick up the odd thing.
How long would you recommend spending in each one? In terms of walking-around time, which is bigger?
And what are their opening times? I realize that'll vary from store to store, but on average? If one area closes earlier than the other, I'll head to that one first in my day!

4 AnswersJapan1 decade agoJigokudani yaenkoen "Snow Monkey Park", Nagano, Japan?
I'm planning a little trip to the snow monkey park in the north of Nagano prefecture. I'm aware it's essentially a hiking day out.
Could anyone who's been there tell me roughly how long it takes to walk in the park? Minimum time recommended? (eg 3 hours, 5 hours?)
2 AnswersJapan1 decade agoHow many calories does swimming 1.5km in 30 minutes burn?
When I go to the pool I usually swim 1.5km in about 30 minutes
I've had a look online, but all the calorie counters give quite varying answers, from 165 calories to 285 calories!!
Can anyone tell me how much this activity burns, or give me a good website? I would have thought comparing to distance rather than time would be more accurate, as travelling x distance requires the same energy, regardless of how long it takes? But all the sites seem based on time.
Also, does that amount of exercise count as 'moderate' or 'vigurous'? Most of the sites ask for that.
Thanks a lot!
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoMy hamster has a stange red patch..?
One of my hamsters has a small red patch on her underside. From the colour it looks irritated (it's a much deeper pink than her skin colour) However, when I touch it she doesn't flinch or squeek, so I don't think it's hurting her. There deosn't appear to be any blood/puss/etc seeping from it, and there are no funny smells. It's just 'there' not looking normal!
Any ideas??
She's not being especially active, but she will eat when I give her food, and when I put her in her ball she was happily running, so no apparant problems there.
However, I'm at work most of the time, so I haven't been able to watch her more and see how she's behaving during the day.
4 AnswersRodents1 decade agoDoes my hamster have wet tail?
One of my hamsters (seperate from the others as she was violent!!) has strange symptoms. The fur around her tail appears, sometimes, to be wet. It's the fur on her backside, rather than directly under her.
It's been like this for about 3 or 4 days, and the level of 'wetness' varies each time I check on her.
There are no signs of diarrhea, and no faeces on her at all. She is still eating and running around.
Is she actually ill?
I have noticed she's been peeing in her wheel a lot. Is it possible this wet patch is simply pee??
Unfortunately I'm at work most of the day so I don't have much time to watch her. Any advice would be appreciated :)
2 AnswersRodents1 decade agoPain after orgasm??
Sometimes I get cramps, similar to those during a period, for about 30-60 seconds after I orgasm. It used to happen occasionally, but is now more frequent, but not everytime. Is this likely to be a medical problem, or just 'one of those things' about my body?
7 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoSims 2 - How to eat out with another Sim??
One of my Sims frequently has the 'dine out with another sim' Want. So, as instructed I invite a Sim to a restuarant. We arrive, and I ask to be seated. However, the other Sim wanders off. I call them over, but they just go away again. As such, the 'want' is never satisfied. How do I make the other Sim actually sit down with my Sim and eat?? There never seems to be a 'Ask to Join' option or anything similar - please help!!
