  • What was the Glenn Miller song played on Blue Bloods last night (11-11)?

What was the name of the Glenn Miller song that was playing when Henry told Frank he turned down the job at Ajax?

  • Downloaded songs need a license to play

I downloaded and paid for several songs from Yahoo and Walmart. I have a new PC and get a message about not having a license when I try to play most all of them. I guess I am s**t out of luck now. What can I do to prevent this from happening again? Before I fired up the new PC, I saved all my files to a CD and a thumb drive--both produce the same results--too bad, so sad. The old PC is long gone--sold it.

  • Bad Battery or Electrical Troubles?

A few months ago, I was driving along and everything cut out just for a second--all lights, dash indicators, motor, etc. I thought it might be the alternator; but I was told that the battery needed charging. The other day, my remote entry wouldn't open any of the doors and when I tried to start the car, all it did was click. What was odd is that right before AAA arrived, I tried to start the car and it fired right up. AAA tested the battery and said that it wasn't producing enough amps (at least that's what I thought he said). The car started right up the next morning. I took it to Sears and when they checked the batter they said it was fine (I saw the report); but they went ahead and replaced it anyway since it was under warranty. I don't know what to expect now--if the old battery was defective, why did my car start up after an hour and the next day? I live in AZ and it is hotter than hell right now--I don't want to get stranded again.

  • Hose Reel - How to Attach Garden Hose?

I have one of those bench type hose reels and the instructions suck. There is a short length of hose that I think gets attached to my faucet and I believe the other end of it (that's inside the bench) is where the garden hose is attached. I hate to sound stupid; but the insert with the "instructions" doesn't explain squat.

  • Mandarin Orange Cake?

I have made this recipe as a cake--has anyone tried to make cupcakes using the same recipe? I think they will be okay; but would like some input if available.

    1 yellow cake mix

    4 eggs

    1 cup vegetable oil

    1 can mandarin orange segments

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

    DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil and mandarin oranges with juice. Beat until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

To make the topping: In a large bowl, beat together whipped topping, pineapple with juice and dry pudding mix until blended. Spread on cake.

  • IE 7.0 - Default Home Page?

I had a connectivity problem and the Cox tech did something to my browser settings--now MSN is my default home page and I have done everything I know of to change it--went to Tools/ Internet Options/General/Home Page and deleted MSN, reset it to Yahoo.com and even tried to set it at "Blank". MSN will not give up! I know what I'm doing with the Tools setting--perhaps there is some more advanced setting that needs to be changed?

  • How can I watch Yahoo videos?

I am so frustrated! I cannot view any of the Yahoo news (or anything else) videos. The new window opens, everything seems okay, I have audio but a freaking green screen! I looked at their troubleshooting instructions and have everything enabled (even though the freaking message keeps popping to say that my computer is at risk because of my change in settings). There are some things I would really like to watch; but the green little freaking screen is all I get. Help, please!

The company went bankrupt and the only other flavored water I've tried is sweetened. Does anyone know of any lime flavored drinking water that doesn't contain sugar or artificial sweeteners?

  • What side dishes will go good with baked ham?

I'm making scalloped potatoes but can't think of anything else to go with baked ham. Corn is out--too much starch alongside the potatoes. Maybe green bean casserole?
