What do you think of this statement?
I don't give a hoot who you voted for. I just want your reaction to this statement.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The Republican establishment, the Republican elite, is quietly supporting those candidates and ideas they think should be encouraged. They are thinking about whom they will back in '08. But they're not thinking of this, most of them, with the old excitement. Because they sense, in their tough little guts, that the heroic age of the American presidency is, for now, over. No president is going to come along and save us, and Congress isn't going to save us. Events will cause a reckoning, and then we'll save ourselves. And in this we will refind our greatness." -- Peggy Noonan (written before the election)
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoLisinopril... how long after taking until max effectiveness?
I've done a lot of looking on Google but I can't find what I'm looking for.
Lisinopril is a once a day medication, how many hours after taking it does it take until it reaches its maximum effectiveness?
2 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoHow long will it take the Democrat House and Senate to pass the amnesty bill?
I see Bush is happy as a pig in mud. With the House Republicans out of the way he can now count on presenting his "good friend" Vincente Fox with a brand, new amnesty for the 25,000,000 illegal aliens who have invaded our country.
When do you think Congress will have the bill ready to sign?
My guess..... Cinco de Mayo, 2007.
Who knows, maybe Bush is going to move to Mexico after his term is up.
11 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoFour simple questions. No rhetoric please. Ready?
1. Which state do you live in?
2. Will you be voting Tuesday?
3. Which political party will you be voting for?
4. How much did you pay in combined state and federal income tax last year?
17 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoNeo-Cons... Name 5 genuine neoconservatives. Can you do it?
I've read quite a few posts on this site. The first thing that strikes me is that 99% of the cretins who post using the word "neo-con" haven't a clue as to it's meaning. I mean, think about it, you can teach a monkey or a parrot to ape what it sees or hears, but that doesn't mean the monkey or parrot knows what it's doing. It's obviously the same with the word "neo-con" or neoconservative.
Name 5 genuine neoconservatives.
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoTry and guess ... What time, today, will Kerry finally break down and apologize?
Kerry said he's not going to apologize. Of course, that's pure bull*hit. If he'd have done it yesterday he wouldn't be in this mess. By now he must realize just how deep he's in it. So, guess that time, local, he'll face the inevitable, break down and apologize.
The closest gets the 10 points.
9 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoUsing Lantus, what's the best injection site... belly or thigh?
I'm just curious about the experiences of other people using this drug. I've been told by a nurse that the belly is the best site because the drug is better absorbed. All the information says both are fine.
5 AnswersDiabetes1 decade agoIs Mexico the most corrupt nation in the western hemisphere?
Don't get me wrong, I understand there's not an honest politician or cop between the Rio Grande and Patagonia. It's just that Mexico has incredible wealth in the form of natural resources and incredible tourist appeal. Yet the place is one vast, dangerous, dirt poor cess pool? It takes a special kind of corruption to reduce a country like Mexico down to he level it's at, has been and most likely will always be.
19 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoWould Jimmy Carter make more sense if he wore a tinfoil hat?
An Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB) is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminium foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable.
