we go to the same college we have 1 class together we've seen each other in class 3 times. we've talked a few times i let him add me on Facebook in case one of us misses class and needed to borrow notes. the first few times he messaged me it was fine but now

He will message me and if i haven't opened it yet he will send more messages or ill open it and not respond and he will message me again he can see that I've read the message. rented out the basement last month its a month to month lease agreement and utilities split.

the teanet has not paid rent this month and refuses to pay utilities stating that since theres 4 of them and 5 of us living upstairs its not fair to split it 60/40.

he has asked for multiples extensions on the rent and refuses to pay the damage deposit claiming that a damage deposit isn't important and if he gives it to us we can't use it in any way

he now says he doesn't have the money to pay we've given him a eviction notice due to him not paying rent and smoking in the house and have asked him to be moved out in 14 days and for him to pay for last months utilities bill.

on the lease it stated no smoking allowed and rent payment/utlities payments must be received on the first of every month.

at first he wouldn't even take the eviction letter so we just slipped it under the door now that he has it he's saying that our reasons for evicting him are invalid.

what can we do?

we need him out asap
