  • Car wouldn't start. 10 points to person who diagnoses the solution correctly.?

I have a 2003 Saturn Vue, 74,000 miles, 2 year old battery, original altenator, and original starter. Went to start up the SUV, and it would not start. There was a ticking noise and all accessories worked.

The SUV is a 5 spd so I rolled it down a hill to get it started by popping the clutch. Took to Autozone. They tested the electrical system: Battery was dead but passed, altenator tested ok and appeared not to be producing enough amperage to charge the battery, starter worked fine. Ran car for 2 hours, had system tested again, same results.

What was wrong and what eventually needed to be replaced?

  • I own a Sprint Samsung SPH A920 Phone. Ordered a 1GB card to replace the 32MB card. Will it work?

I know the manual says 8mb to 512mb, but I have several electronic devices with memory cards in them that far exceed what the manufacturer recommends. Should I go ahead and open the package when it arrives, or should I send it back for a refund without even trying because it is a waste of time?

Please...only answer if you own this phone and have tried the 1GB card. I already know all the other answers and options.

  • Anyone have a good and simple receipe for Japanese style mustard sauce found in Hibatchi style restaurants?

It's the only reason I eat Japanese, but I don't want to have to go to a restaurant EVERY time I have a taste for it.

  • Why do people feel that 4WD vehicles are safer to drive than FWD or RWD?

I learned to drive when you could only find 4WD on large 3/4 ton trucks and very few cars were FWD. My 1st 2 vehicles were RWD long before Traction Control or Stability Control.

And when I owned a 4WD pickup living in the midwest and northeast, I only used my 4WD maybe 2 days out of the year on average. And ony because I wanted to. Not because I needed to. The days I probably needed to, I used a vacation day and stayed at home.

Considering the fuel I wasted lugging around 750 lbs of transferfer case and axles around for the other 363 days, I was really screwing myself.

Anyone else share my opinion? Or are folks just real wusses and believe the hype that the car companies are selling them as far as expensive 4WD SUVs are concerned?

  • I have a 16 piece empty spice rack. What are the basics/essentials that I need to fill out this rack.?

The rack basically has 16 empty jars that need to be filled with spices. I don't do much cooking, and when I do, my cabinet pretty much has everything I use on a regular basis. I just want the rack to look nice and to have the spices and seasoning I might use on occassion.

Keep in mind, that this rack is going to be more for show than for go, so I don't want to spend too much money on a spice or seasoning that I might never use in this lifetime or the next.
