Would like to lower my EGTs. around 800 degrees unloaded at 60 mph and 950 degrees unloaded at 80 mph on a level surface. i think these are too high. truck is stock just had head gaskets replaced and studded. I am going with a turbo back system to help drop the EGTs. is there a difference between 4 or 5 inches when it comes to this or does it not matter? i understand there is a sound difference and a back pressure difference but my biggest concern is the temperature. I know 5 inch can be a pain to get on and can only have a 4 inch down pipe max, but does it help drop EGTs more than a 4 inch system, even if its only minimal? Thank you
1 AnswerFord2 years ago6.0 powerstroke coolant leak?
my truck will occasionally leak bad out of the degas cap which i know is usually a tell tale sign of a headgasket failure. truck is a daily driver and the leak has occured 3 or 4 times since i bought it 5 months ago. full diagnostic was just done on the truck last week (for a lag problem) and everything else came back normal. is this occurrence normal or is there something underlying it? any help would be appreciated

I have had minor balance problems / dizziness for almost a year.sometimes when i take steps (usually sideways or diagonally) i seem to lose my balance and have to take an extra step. twice (in the last month) when i have been sitting down and then stood up, my head feels like it is spinning but then it goes away after 20 seconds or so, almost like a mini vertigo attack. also (and this may be unrelated) sometimes when i am sitting down and then get up or when i suddenly change what i am looking at, my eyes almost kind of go blind to the light change and take 10 seconds or so to re-adjust. this has been happening a lot longer than a year so i think its probably unrelated. if i had an inner ear infection, would these symptoms really occur like this for almost a year without getting that much worse? ive had no hearing problems or any other symptoms commonly associated with an inner ear infection? is there anything else that could cause these symptoms. lack of sleep (i have had less sleep over the past year when these symptoms began) or something else? im afraid i have meningitis or something serious. someone please answer me. thank you.
