I'm 20 years old, a sophomore in college. I grew up around firefighting all my life from the time I was born. My dad has been firefighting since he was young and all of his brothers have also so I was a firehouse baby. Always there playing on the trucks and being watched by the other firefighters. Growing up it never really came up about joining the firehouse for myself or my older brother since my parents threw us into every sport imaginable to keep us busy. Well the past couple weeks I've been really thinking about joining once I graduate and it's pretty much all I think about. The problem is I'm not exactly sure how to bring it up with my parents, I may be 20 but I'm the baby of the family and my dad with most likely not be thrilled with the idea. And the fact that I would end up running at the same station so he could make it really hard for me to join without his blessing. Just trying to figure out how to bring it up with my parents without them going nuts.

Ok well this guy Kevin he's a sophomore and im a senior well he's like creepy and always texts me like everyday and it's annoying well he's like a loner and no one really talks to him. Well he asked my friend out multiple times and she turned him down each time so I feel bad for him so im always nice to him and tend to text him back. Well he's just getting really annoying and kinda sorta stalkerish but I can't be mean to him because I just feel bad when I try to get him to stop texting me well i'm down the shore for the summer and he's down and i'm on 30th street and he's on 32nd and I've been trying to avoid him and it's worked so far but i'm sure ill run into him eventually were at the beach it's not that big. And he texted me tonight but my friend had my phone because I was a little busy and she told her I was busy and he kept asking why so she told him (I was on the beach with this guy that i've known for a couple years and we were just getting with each other). Anyway he told her that he kinda sorta likes me and like kept asking if I was still on the beach and it's just weird and the guy I was on the beach with said he would take care of it but I just don't want to hurt his feelings but I just don't like him and he's kinda creepy and weird and I honestly just want him to leave me alone. So does anyone else think the poster the Chicago Tribune made of Chris Pronger with bottom half figure skating gear and the top flyers gear naming him Chirssy Pronger and using the caption "Looks like Tarzan, Skates like Jane" is just wrong and offensive? I know it was suppose to be a joke and fun and im all for fun but with this its just wrong. Saying skates like jane is pretty much saying he skates like a girl and that its a bad thing. But I guess they've never seen woman's hockey cause thats all it is, is skating. Like offensive? or Funny?

So I spend my summer at my beach house in Florida well its like a lot of families that we all know each other from growing up and living on the same street. Well were pretty much all the same age and my problem is that I was suppose to hook up with the one guy Tyler and it just got weird cause we never really could hang out just us two and we weren't going to hook up with this guy with everyone weird cause that would be weird haha. Well my friend Kelly has had a crush on Tyler for like prob about a year and the thing is Tyler just doesn't do relationships like he can't deal with them (and I don't really do summer relationships cause I live in Florida during the summer instead of my actual home and I don't feel like the awkward breakup at the end of the summer so I just have fun) and he's like really excited to hang out with me this summer so we'll prob hook up and I was talking to Kelly and she like doesn't want me to hook up with him even though she knows he doesn't like relationships. And if we do hook up she'll most likely find out about it because nothing stays quiet in our circle of friends and I just don't want her killing me but if during the summer he makes a move im not gonna stop it like were not gonna go out or anything so would this be totally a jerk move towards my friend and should I feel bad? cause I honestly don't know And btw he wanted to get with me before she liked him so it's not like it started after she started like him. Ok so I play hockey with all guys for my high school team and I also play girls hockey. Well I really don't get nervous before girls games at all but them I go to a guys game and I get really nervous before the games to the point that I can't eat before the games cause my nerves go and I can sometimes get sick. So what can I do to calm my nerves before games cause I don't know why I get so nervous I just do... Thxs!

well i need help I like this guy and he's cute, nice, does favors for me like yeah. well I really like him and everything n he plays ice hockey for a team I play against. Well every time I talk to him we always end up talking bout hockey well when I try to talk to him about anything else I freeze up and cant talk. like i dunno why i just cant. so what i need help with is how do i get myself to talk to him about anything more. thanks

why is there so many groups on facebook that are "figure skaters are better then hockey players" , "figure skating is harder the hockey", "figure skating is more of a sport then hockey", "if hockey was hard they'd call it figure skating", or my favorite " ice is for skating not for hockey"! why are there so many cause its not like its true! ahhh why?!?!?

Ok well i play for my high school team and im the only girl on my team n one of two girls in the league. Well why is it when im with my team getting ready for a before a game the guys from the other teams always stare at me like i have five heads. And then when i go to play them i get some stupid remark like go back n play with ur dolls?? n y when i play them they either wont touch me or they try to kill me during the game n just not really go after the guys on my team?

well i play ice hockey for my high school and like i have friends from the other teams. and i satyed for one of my friends game n like i play him during the season n he asked me if i wanted to hook up with him... would it be totally wrong to hook up with him because i play against him in hockey?

Why do every figure skater ive ever met get pissed at me at skating rinks when im in the girls locker room. they seem to think they own it n dont want me in there? its a girls locker room not figure skaters locker room. like they r always flirting with all the guys on my team n then get pissed when they see me

well my friend keeps trying to get me to ask out the guy i like but i cant do it. how should i like school just ended n i talk to him every night online but i have tried i just cant. n im a sophmore n this is usally easy. help.........

i like a junior and im a freshman

hes really nice and really hot and ive known him for a while like 6 years. well he went to j prom with a girl i play field hockey with cause he asked her but there not going out.

well shes been showing me the pictures from the prom all week and its killing me.

and like i have a class across from his so i always see him. and like ill try to get over him and forget him but then he'll like start sayin stuff to me that draws me back.

how do i forget him!?!?!?
