  • What New Pet Should I get?

I currently have one corn snake, 29 hamsters that we will be all getting rid of except for 2, a boxer dog, 2 fish, one albino frog, and 6 birds. My father said that since I am so attached to the hamsters, he would buy me a SMALL pet. Any idea's??

I love rodents, I love reptiles, I love amphibians, just about any animal.

  • What Can I do To Help My Injured Hamster?

I had a hamster for almost a year... He is the offspring of our original hamster, (possibly inbred), and was attacked by a dog. so his name is now shaggy, now shaggy, I woke up a week ago to shaggy with basically no nose. It was torn off, most likley eaten away, he fights ALOT. We put him in a seperate cage with our most docile hamsters, and we have about 29, almost 30, due to MAJOR breeding problems. His nose is scabbing over, but looks very infected. I tried to do research, but I have little solutions... I know that anestetic is toxic to hamsters and can kill them, and I have a theory that my family has to many hamsters and they are going insane... Dunno if thats possible though. And surgery on hamsters is MAJOR expensive, and my family CANNOT afford that, since our dog already has allergies, testicle issues, etc... But, We have grown attached to shaggy and can't imagine him dying like this. please help if you can.
