3 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoHair advice, please.?
My hair is an absolute mess. The top of my head is fine, but the shafts and ends aren't curly or wavy or straight, they're just completely random. I have thick hair so it's cut in layers, but it's still messy. I can't go outside with my hair down because it's so bad. What are some solutions for me?
4 AnswersHair1 decade agoHow can I better understand classic literature?
My mom and I have both recently decided that I should start reading classic literature, and I've borrowed several books from the library, such as Frankenstein and works by the Brontë sisters, etc. I realize that coming from a different age these books' styles are different from what I used to, but no matter how hard I try about six out of ten sentences fly right past me. And not understanding the writing makes me not want to read it at all. I honestly do want to read classics to help be broaden my horizons, but it is really discouraging. How can I help my comprehension?

1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation1 decade agoWhat are some current, popular songs with the I-V-vi-IV chord progression?
They should be from this year or last year, and they need to be songs that almost everyone will recognize. I'm talking about mainstream, chart pop, stuff on major labels that gets radio airplay. Thanks.

I'm using NoteWorthy Composer 2 Evaluation to write a song, and I want to hear what it would actually sound like... but unfortunately, the guitar samples for the software sound more like fingernails on a chalkboard than an actual guitar. What can I do to change this?

1 AnswerTennis1 decade agoWhen was there an increase in use of the drill in Roman sculptures?
I've read from another source that the look of Roman sculptures changed because more and more people started using drills instead of chisels. Could anyone tell me approximately when this happened? (And no, don't tell me when it was invented.)

11 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat kind of tennis racket should I get?
I'm interested in tennis, and I've gotten four beginner-level, compulsory lessons at school. I turned 13 just a couple weeks ago, and I'm a bit weak and a slow runner for my age. I know that heavy and head-light rackets are safest for tennis elbow, but because I'm not very strong I'd like to start with a racket between 8 and 10 oz. And if it helps, I'm 5'4". What tennis racket do you recommend?
2 AnswersTennis1 decade agoCan Japanese surnames be pieced together, sort of like Japanese first names?
For example - yuki (snow), and shiro (fourth son) can be pieced together to make Yukishiro, a Japanese first name for a boy. Can surnames be made in the same way, such as kin (golden) + ji (two) + taka (noble) = Kinjitaka?
