I was feeling incredibly dizzy, thought I was going to pass out. I am not diabetic that I know of, but I do have a glucose testing kit. I took my BS and it came out 39. I had just finished eating a sandwhich. I had a spoonful of honey and tested again in about half an hour and it came out 179. Is that even possible? Is the tester broken?

I have a really high credit score, but I have a bankruptcy on my credit. Good income and we just bought a house. I'm looking for a 0% interest balance transfer card from a company who will forgive that pesky little BK. I already have a Cap 1 card. I'm getting denied for other cards. Chase, Discover, and Barclay are out.

I don't want to spend hours examing labels, so a website that lets you filter by soy-free or only sells soy-free would be fantastic! I'm looking for snacks, condiments, breads etc.

I applied for new credit card, and was sent a letter stating I already had an account with them. I called and the guy said it was a closed account with a balance on it. He said I had to talk to a different department about paying off the balance before I could open a new account? I thought they couldn't ask for that money because it was involved in bankruptcy and discharged. So, can they ask for that money to open back up the card or is something wrong here? The other dept was closed before I could call.

I have a door in my bathroom that has about 12 single-pane glass panels in it. This obviously lets a bit of cold air into the bathroom. What is the best way to insulate them? I would love transparent options as I do enjoy the light.

She tried to do the loan modification, but it was denied. Now the bank is saying they won't take less than what their balance on the house is. Seems stupid to me since that's what they owe and are willing to pay it if the bank would help them, but they won't. Anyways, can they even do that? And once it's to a short sale is there any way to stop this from happening, or are they going to lose their house no matter what? Any resources avail to help them out?

We did everything on the rental company's check list upon moving out. My Mother-In-Law even helped us clean, so she's our witness. Owner is refusing to return our money. Unfortunately we didn't take pictures when we left since the rental company told us they did it, but it turns out the OWNER does it. Small claims is just going to be a he/said she/said isn't it? The place was filthy when we moved in, and we left it cleaner than when we moved in. He is mad he had some stuff fixed on his house, then we moved. Rental Co. says they keep complaint logs, and I complained about the dirty house, but I'm assuming those records will disappear. All he has is a picture of inside a dirty stove (that wasn't the one we used). The amount that was kept is pretty excessive for a dirty stove anyways. There was a laundry list of what the cleaners did (that we had already done) but no pictures of that? My MIL even owns a cleaning company, so we know it was done right. What are my chances and are there any resources to help me out?

This carpet is ancient, there's no carpet pad. The ends of the carpet are frayed ALL over the house. The dog got ahold of a loose end and there's a big ripped spot in the carpet. I don't know how/if this can be fixed. I'm certainly not going to pay to replace all this crappy carpet. My dog is small, if it had been normal carpet it wouldn't have torn like that. The carpet is crunchy & dry and just fell apart when he started. Pieces of the carpet comes up around the frayed parts everytime we vacuume too. What are my options here?

I am looking for something with medium coverage, satin, semi-matte pref. Dewy is ok as long as it doesn't look oily. My skin is mostly normal, slightly dry. Something that doesn't settle into fine lines. Has to have a pale range, I'm around an NC15. Sensitive & acne prone. Drugstore or super cheap. Prefer liquid, but wouldn't mind branching out for the right mineral powder. Does such a foundation exist???

I noticed my car wasn't running quite right. It didn't seem to have quite the power it used to. I also had an episode where I took my foot off the gas and it decelerated REALLY fast with a bit of a thunk. It's a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant if that makes any difference. I checked the radiator fluid & it is full. I checked the engine oil and it is a creamy whitish, light brown color, which I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be. There is also oil all over the front of the engine that is black and clumpy. I think I know what is going on, but would love some opinions! Thanks!

I woke up this morning and tested my blood sugar level and it was 131, I hadn't eaten for well over 8 hours. I tested again about an hour later. I had a cup of coffee and smoked (I know, bad!) and my level was 169. I tested again about 2 hours later, I had a Balance Bar, string cheese, and half of a blended mocha coffee and my level was 82. I have not been dx with anything related to blood sugar, I am testing because I am thinking I may have an adrenal gland problem, and I read it can affect blood sugar levels. My hands were shakey which is why I decided to do the 3rd test. Any imput on this? Is this normal?

My 4 year old was in changing his pants this morning, and he just started crying. He said his neck hurt. He had a hard time lifting his arms, and was quite upset. My FIL is a chiro, and he tried to adjust him, but my son wasn't having it. He had some Motrin, which helped. He has been putting ice on it which is also helping some. I was poking around at his neck and I noticed a small lump that is soft and moveable. When I ask him to point to where it hurts, he doesn't point at that lump though. He turns his whole body to turn and look, and he's holding his shoulder up on the opposite side of where he says it hurts. He has no fever, no vomiting, appetite is good... I didn't know 4 year olds could get neck pain like that. My walk-in clinic said there was nothing they could do for him if I brought him in. Should I call my pediatrician? Or does this sound like a muscle strain that should go away with time?

I have to watch my friend's 2 year old a few times this month. I HAVE to pick up my 4 year old from school, and I also have a 2 year old. My husband has a Mitsubishi Outlander that has a 3rd row seat that folds down into the floor in the back. The manual says not to use a child safety seat. I'm assuming this means a booster seat as well. There is no way all 3 will fit in the back seat with their carseats. So what is the safest place for my 4 year old? He is 40lbs and 41" tall. The manual says you can put a safety seat in the front seat if it is all the way back. Should I put him in the front seat, or would the folding seat with the booster be safer? Or is there a place I can call to find out? I'm pretty worried about it!!

I don't remember my car doing this. When I take my foot off the gas (usually around 40mph) my car seems to decelerate faster and shudders as the MPH goes down just a bit. Just curious as to wether this is a problem, or something to be expected as my car ages. Thanks!

Homemade moon sand with water, cornstarch, and of course sand... Had to add canola oil for it to actually hold a shape. How long until the oil goes bad? Anything else that can be used to help the sand hold it's shape that will not go bad? Thanks!

I started taking Nature's Way DIM about 2 weeks ago, and I have a ton more zits, but they're way different. Before they were hard to extract and took forever to heal. These whiteheads come up super fast and are easy to get rid of, but there's WAY more. I have been dealing with cystic acne too, but I haven't had a cyst since I started taking it, which is awesome. I feel so much better physically and mentally since I started taking it, but the breakout is driving me nuts! How long should I give it to see if it's eventually going to clear up, or if this is just going to keep making me break out? Anyone else taken it and experienced this? Thanks!

My SIL is pregnant and had an appointment today (new patient) at a clinic that is part of our local hospital. They called my SIL and tried to cancel the appointment for some reason, but she refused. She's almost 3 months pregnant and has been waiting for this appt for a long time. My brother had been discharged from their clinic for some reason or another. When she got there, they told her they wouldn't see her because my brother had been discharged. Can they really refuse to treat a patient based on that? I would LOVE if someone could post a link giving me details if they can/can't. We live in CA. Thanks!

I have been using Avon Perfect Wear in Nude. The shade isn't an exact match for me. I'm pretty pale with yellow-olive undertones. I'm thinking the Nude may be a bit too pink for me? I think I tried Ivory once and it was too pale. I was using Bisque for a long time and it was a great match, but apparently I never go outside anymore. Question is, is Nude the best match I'm going to get? Or would one of the light/medium shades work? Thanks!
