I just saw a chainsaw powered by a 1000 C.C. iron sportster motor complete with kickststart! Its a two man saw called the LOG HAWG!

I really was liking them as they finally had a real motor instead of that sportster motor. We finally had an american sport bike and they were winning races against the big four from Japan. I really gotta wonder about the thought process at H.D.!

Im talking about the 45 cubic inch bikes that were made by a japanese company when H.D. sold them the machinery and stopped making them. I cant rememer the name of the company in Japan that made them. Most of you are probably not even aware of this bike.

Vtwin doc helped me out with this dam thing recently Im thinking he has the 411! So here goes: My friends coil went bad and we used a single fire coil on a dual fire ignition. V twin doc showed me how to do that. But it still doesnt quite run proper. So here are the settings:Its set at 5900 R.P.M. limit,with advance slope at 9.the rear cylinder is set at 0.Its set on dual fire,its set on electric start.and its set on multi spark not single.Its a crane fireball hi 4e model 8-3100. It cranks for a bit before starting and runs a little rough at low R.P.M. ran just fine with the stock coil.

been puzzled about this for two years now! I rebuilt this bike from top to bottom and front to back.Thats a lot to spend on an old iron head but its a fun lil chopper.Thing is I go through about 3 generators a year! It only happens after a high speed run of about 80 to 90 M.P.H. I will get on it hard and suddenly smell burnt electric.Its allways the brushes in the generator every time. I pull it out and pop a rebuit one in its place and a couple months later it happens again over and over.Its got me puzzled and mad as hell!

been back for a couple days and haven seen the twerp. Thats a good thing!
