  • Update me on hair permanents please.?

I haven't had a permanent in over 30 years because they do not take. I was told my hair follicles were hollow and thus could not make the sulfur bonds to make curls. Is this old information? Are there products that can make my fine thin hair curl with a permanent? Need answers ASAP as trying for a perm Monday.

  • If you have breast removed, including nipples, would it be legal to go bare chested like men do?

My friend, about 30 yrs old, had both breast removed, including her nipples, due to cancer. She took her shirt off and was bare chested. Two curved scars which will be less angry looking as the scars fade. We were joking and wondered if she would be ticketed if she did this at the beach.

  • Eternity! Why do people have such a hard time...?

I think of eternity extending both into the past and into the future and hence no need for a first force or source and therefore no need for a creator.

How come other people find this so hard? If you can grasp eternity into the future, why not into the past? Is it that you are limited by the human experience of birth and death?

  • Cookies cleared, but can travel agenc?

Cleared my footprints in AOL, which includes cookies. However, I have saved e-mails on AOL from travel agencies. Travel agencies use cookies to track interest and quote higher prices for travel if they detect their cookies. Are there cookies in my saved e-mails? How would I rid myself of those if they continue to exist in the saved e-mails?

  • Summer School Canceled In Calif-All Levels?

Governor Schwarzenegger further budget cuts in California due to unprecedented drop in revenue to the state has the schools at all levels cancelling all summer school classes. Students were just notified.

What are your thoughts about this? How do you think it will affect the job market for those who were currently seeking work. Will this drive wages down even further?

  • Alaska Cruise, I'm Afraid?

Okay, my hubby wants to cruise to Alaska and yet I am embarrassed to admit that I am afraid of being close to where the glaciers fall into the ocean. I am afraid the displaced water might affect the cruise ship.

I don't think this is very rational thinking, but I can't seem to overcome the fear.

    Any advise, information?

  • Area of right angle triangle with sides a and b equal?

If you had to find the area of a triangle and the two sides of the right angle were equal, instead of doing the hypotenuse stuff, couldn't you just multiply the two equal sides for area of the square and then divide in half? Is that how they used to figure it out and then worked backward into developing the formula? I am old, old and never had much math and only memorized stuff. Only now starting to understand the meaning instead of just the mechanics.

  • How do I locate Southern Cross off Chile?

I will be on a cruise ship off the coast of Chile and Peru heading North during mid to late April. It should be dark at night after 1PM when folks head to bed and lights dim.

Where in the sky would I find the Southern Cross? How can I identify it? What is a good web link to find out? I so remember the tune, Beneath The Southern Cross by Richard Rodgers as part of the Victory At Sea music.

    Thanks.

  • Allergic Reaction? I.v. medication.?

I was a patient in the hospital recently and was administered a medication by i.v. which caused such intense itching at the site of the needle that they had to stop the i.v. I don't recall the name of the medication.

My question is if that was the reaction does it mean I might become allergic to the medication next time I receive it? I sort of think itching is a reaction and not an allergy. Can someone tell me if I am right or was the intense itching an allergic reaction.

    Thanks.

  • Am I wrong in thinking a tax is better than borrowing?

I don't like borrowing money and think the government should tax more. I think the real power behind anti-taxation measures are those people who make money from the borrowing by governments, e.g., banks and wealthy investors. How does it make sense when we are in debt to borrow more and make our credit go down more and have to pay higher interest on the loans because we are overly in debt?

    Why don't people see this?
