Thinking about getting a new smartphone. Prefer one that's good for emails, browsing, music and maybe mapping. Don't really need a good camera as I already have one. The phones I'm thinking of are: HTC touch HD, Apple iPhone 3GB (16mb), Samsung INNOV8, Nokia 4800 Xpress Music and Blackberry Bold.

Anyone know which of these are the best.

I currently use a Dell Inspiron Laptop with 2GB RAM and Windows Vista Business 32bit, on an Optus wireless network and when I try to access some parts of the www.pcmag.com website (e.g. digital cameras) it crashes my PC. Anyone know why?

Constantly keep hearing about this social network site and can't understand why it's so popular. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it's all about and why it's so popular?

Downloaded AVS Video Convertor 6 and converted the avi file to DVD format. I inserted the DVD+R Double Layer and the program said the DVD was not writable. Have I wasted my money on the DVD, as I thought it was still possible to burn onto recordable DVD's?

Anyone seen both these movies recently. Which one do you prefer?

Definitely Slumdog Millionaire for me. Best movie I've seen at the cinema in ages.

Just downloaded a 350mb episode using uTorrent, thought it was the usual .avi video file, but it turned out to be a RAR file. I understand RAR's are compressed or zipped versions of the file. Is there a free, downloadable program I can get to extract the video from the RAR file or do need to download the whole thing again?

Anyone know what is coming out for the summer - Christmas - holidays in Australia. Not seen or heard anything advertised like usual.

I am 'maxed' out on two credit cards and up to overdraft limit in three bank accounts. I know I'm stupid for letting this happen, but I've got two jobs now and I'm working 16 hours a day some days, but I just can't seem to get these debts down, especially when there are bills/food/petrol & ex-wife's child support money to pay. Is there anything else I can do i.e. see a debt counsellor?

Anyone know how to do this?

Recently joined and got into an enclave of about 10 'friends' where we all have one thing in common (don't ask!). However the person who kind of welcomed me to the group has recently gone cold on me and is hardly talking to me now, without giving any cause or reason. I'm getting a little paranoid about this, so do I:

1. Carry on as though nothing as happened?

2. Demand to know what I've done to cause the silent treatment?

3. Remove friend from list with notice?

4. Remove friend from list without notice?

5. Anything else?

Separated from my wife of 17 years about three months ago. I'm living in $150 a week shared accommodation and also having to pay my ex-wifes rent bills because my 10yo son lives with her and she can't get any regular work. I have a reasonable job with reasonable pay but am struggling at the moment. What would you do in my situation?

1. Get a better paid day job

2. Get another casual job (paper delivery, pizza delivery, home help etc)

3. Register with a reliable computer business (any suggestions in Oz)

Downloaded 3 eps of my fave TV Show recently, using IsoHunt for the search and uTorrent for the download and just heard on the radio news this morning that ISP's are going to send out warning letters to all their customers who illegally download. The episodes of the show I'm downloading are currently being shown on TV, so does anyone know if what I'm doing is illegal?

I've recently switched ISP and have now got wireless internet with an E220 Huawei USB roamer modem for my Dell laptop Inspiron 6400 on a Vista platform. I've found some websites will not fully load, where the progress bar gets about a third to half way across and just stops. Some sites like Google and this one will thankfully. Is this something to do with the firewall or other security settings?

Any websites showing live or nearly live video of the athletics events where a UK competitor has a good chance of a medal.
