The laptop I am thinking of buying has an intel hm87 mobile chipset and 3 ram slots. When I google for info about the ram some sites say that it has dual channel ram. I am not sure I believe that. Generally I see motherboards that run dual channel ram and have slots in multiples of 2 and are color coded. Motherboards that run triple or quad channel ram also have slots in multiples of 3 or 4 and are color coded.

My question is if the chipset runs dual channel ram what happens when 3 ram sticks are used? Does it run all 3 sticks at single channel?

We are replacing a washing machine. We have tried 2 washers from Sears Outlet and when installed by the delivery men they would not work. They would light up make beeps and noises but no water would come into the tub.

1. Is this just bad luck? We are going to find another retailer

2. Could there be a problem with our water pressure/supply?

3. Other.

We have not noticed any water problems in any of the other water faucets in the house. When I open the faucets for the inlet hoses to the washer there is good flow and pressure.

I asked the washer installer if the water pressure/supply was critical and he said no.

When they refer to an english team playing a darby:

Do they mean playing a team that is a long time rival? In the same city? Home and home series? Does every team have only 1 team to play a darby with?

There are teams that are long time rivals because they frequently compete for some title but do not reside near each other. Would that be consider a darby? How and who decides when you have a darby?

Do non-english teams have darbies?

I have a bunch of old fragile 8mm and super 8 film of my wife's family and am planning on taking them to a professional place to do the transfer. In checking some websites I have some questions:

1. They offer a Gold Archival DVD because it has a longer life than regular dvds. Is this hype or fact? Can I make as many copies as I want from this gold dvd? (there is no DRM)

2. They also offer a minidv tape with an uncompressed copy of the films. Is this a much better archival method?

3. I have a camcorder that uses sd cards and not tape, and don't expect to buy a camcorder that uses tape. Will that type camcorder (that uses minidv) be around longer than dvds, or soon go the way of the VHS cassettes?
