  • How is gas getting into my lawnmower's oil reservoir?

I have a Saber [by John Deere] lawn mower with a 17.5 Kohler engine. It does have a mechanical fuel pump. Starting today we found large quanities of fuel in the crankcase. Fuel is not entering the engine while it is shut down, but I did find about a 'extra' quart [i.e. one quart of gas mixed with the oil] after running for about 1/2 an hour.

I have already looked over the carburetor and it is not the typical problem, stuck float/valve. Two attempts at the carb have yielded simliar results... help, I'm running out of oil and gas, LOL

Because this is occuring while it is running i wonder if fuel isn't leaking past a flawed fuel pump membrane into the crankcase. Wonder if this is a common problem and if the pump is 'rebuildable'.

If you could point me to a good trouble shooting guide, an online advise guru/answer man or maybe offer your first hand experiences I'd appreciate it.

  • does anyone know what the total metal count was?

I wonder how many total overall metals each country received, counting each of the multiple metals they would receive for team events. for example, most metal count charts you see would credit the USA basketball team with one gold metal, while the fact is each player received one gold metal....

  • What "headlines" would you like to see on Faux Spews?

I'm sure everyone has seen the loaded “question” headlines on Faux Spews, i.e. "Hillary Clinton, worst President ever? or "Dem's want to lose lose in Iraq?"

The question is if Faux Spews is really so "Fair and Balanced" what headlines would you like to see, i.e. "Are Republicans all closet pedophiles?"
