We are tossing around a few ideas for our next family vacation (we have 2 kids, ages 5 and 9). We live close to St. Louis, MO.

We usually go to places w/ beaches and warm weather, but we are open to any ideas. We do like off the beaten path, hidden gems kinda places.

How do you decide on your vacation spots? Internet site? Travel agent? Magazine? Other?

Does anyone have any knowledge of ceremonial land blessings? I saw 4-5 men standing in a circle, chanting something (not english) and a woman w/ a large mashetti (sp?) holding it down w/ straight arms. And one of the men was carrying a very heavy trash bag. (I do know that they did dig a hole about 3 feet)

I was taking my walk and they were very startled to see me. I'm hoping this was some kind of "new land blessing" b/c the land was just recently sold to a new owner????

Anyone know what this was?

Does anyone know if Walgreens/CVS/WalMart or another place has gift cards for Cabelas?? I don't want to drive 70+ miles to get one, and I was hoping I could find one locally.

What kind of mattress do you have? We are shopping for a new mattress and are thinking about buying a sleep number bed. Just wondering if it was worth the $$$? We have bought 3 mattresses in the last 10 years and can't find one that feels good and gives a good night's rest. All opinions welcome!!

We are trying to find ideas for a cake baking contest. The only rule is to tie your cake in w/ their theme...BUGS.

Does anyone have any fun ideas that will help us win?!!

I'm sure the obvious: Bake it in a bowl and turn it into a ladybug or use chocolate frosting for dirt and decorate w/ gummy worms will be done. We are looking for something UNIQUE!

Has anyone found a great website that helped you choose a name for your puppy? I know there are several out there. But I'm tired of looking through a million names in alphabetical order. Especially when most of them are too bizarre for my simple taste!! :)

What customer service oriented quality do they have that keeps you coming back?

What 1 thing would they do to cause you to go somewhere else?

Tell me what customer service skills your stylist needs to work on. Is he/she too rough w/ the brush? Is the blowdryer too hot? Do they give adequate shampoos? What's the area that you think is the most important that needs improvement in this industry???
