Help with delinquent mortgage!?
I recently fell behind with the mortgage on a second home. I got 3 payments behind and they sent me in to foreclosure. During this time I acquired tenants for the home and attempted a loan modification. I didn't think I was eligible for the modification because I now can afford the mortgage payment. After sending in the info, my mortgage company says I've been approved for a repayment plan of $3k/month for 5 months! I am guessing that roughly 7k is attorney's fees although I have yet to even know the name of the attorney or receive any paperwork from them. Also, I totally disagree with the monthly payment. My income does not support this at all! What else can I do? Can I request proof of attorney's fees? I went in to foreclosure several years ago and once I did, the mortgage company refused to talk to me...they referred me to the attorney. Now, I talk to them and they wont even tell me the name of the attorney. I think something is fishy with this...

2 AnswersFinancial Aid8 years agoRepeating Online Class?
I did not do well on an online class so I am repeating it. The main reason was because I was very busy and did not put in the effort that was needed plus I turned in some assignments late. The repeat class has the same syllabus. Would I be wrong to submit the same papers I had written before (with a few changes of course)?
1 AnswerSpecial Education10 years agoMortgage paid off? Is this real?
My friend was trying to get her mortgage refinanced. In the midst of sending in the required documents she received a letter stating that her mortgage has been paid in full!!! After spending almost a month of leaving messages with various people at the mortgage co to get some clarity, today she was told that because the value of her home has decreased significantly, her mortgage has been forgiven as of 1/6/2011 and that she will be receiving a 1099 for the amount that was charged off! Is this real? She is very nervous right now.

2 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoEvicting Section 8 Tenant?
I have a sect 8 tenant that has been in my home for almost 3 years. Her lease is scheduled to end 12/31/2009. I want to end the lease 10/31/09 because they tenant has caused multiple damages in the unit with the last instance causing 9k worth of damages. The kitchen and guest bathroom needs to be done as well as the carpet in approx 60% of the house. The lease states I can give 30 day notice if it is a month to month lease. I am confused about whether its a month to month lease.
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoEvicting Section 8 tenant?
I have been renting to a young lady on section 8 for the past 2 years. I received a letter from Section 8 stating that they will no longer pay her rent because she is being kicked off of their program due to program violations. According to Sect 8 lease, their lease ends automatically when she is terminated from their program. Do I revert back to the lease that the tenant signed with me in order to start the eviction process because I know she cant afford to pay the rent herself. Do I wait until she is 5 days late then file?
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoCreditor Not Listed In Chapter 13?
I filed Chaptr 13 in Oct 2004 and included a debt to a credit union. The credit union was notified of my filing but did not post any objections. I still see the credit union on my credit report but it is not listed as being included in the BK. What does that mean?
2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoWhat recourse do I have?
I was driving a friend's car and was involved in a car accident. The driver of the other car sped off and I was unable to get their license plate number. Now my friend refuses to file a claim with her insurance. She gave some lame excuses that told me she wasnt going to file no matter what. My insurance co will only step in as a secondary. I want to do the right thing but I dont think its fair for me to pay out of pocket when there is insurance. What can I do?
3 AnswersInsurance & Registration1 decade agoRefi rental property with low credit score?
I have a rental property that I owe approx 67k. Houses in my area have been appraised at around 150k (same floor plan). I want to refi and get as much equity as I can out of it. I have a tenant that has been in the house for over 3 years and rent is never late. However my credit score is low due to a Chapter 13 filing 4 years ago. I would like to refi and buy myself out of the BK which would be about 4k and go to a 15 year mortgage. For the record I have learned from my BK which is why I went Chapter 13 instead of 7. My income has tripled since filing and my tenant is paying double what the mortgage is right now. What are my chances? Any lenders specialize in this?

My daughter has a B130 and she is unable to get into safe mode. Can this be fixed or do we need to kiss this computer goodbye? The computer is not quite 2 years old and there is no warranty.
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoChapter 13 Plan Base Amount vs Claim Amount?
I filed chapter 13 in 2004. I was told that my plan would be for 5 years...my payments were changed 3 times so that I would meet the 5 yr time frame. When I check my acct summary, I notice that the plan base amount is about $11k less than the claim amount. I never paid it attention, just kept making my payments. A few weeks ago I called my attorney's office to inquire about possibly refinancing for a buyout. When the assistant went online to check my balance (which I would've needed for the refi) She said the trustee made notes that he would be discharging my case 12/07 which corelates with the base plan amount being paid out at that time. What is the difference in those amounts. Why was I told I would be in BK for 5 years? Who should I believe?

4 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoInterest Only or ARM?
Do your credit score need to be higher to get an interest only or ARM loan? Are the downpayments higher? I have a median score of 602, income/debt ratio is fine. Looking to buy a house to stop wasting money in rent. It will not be my dream house and moving in 5-7 years will not be a problem. The housing market in my area is doing ok, dont anticipate any problems selling later.
6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWould I be Wrong?
I was working with a mortgage broker on a mortgage that I wa previously approved for in 2/07. In June when he ran my credit again, he says that multiple negative accounts are showing on my reports plus a bankruptcy. The accounts/BK are not mine. When I pull my reports, I do not see these accounts. (I had seen the BK previously but disputed and it was removed on 2 bureaus and it stayed on the 3rd but he said it didnt really affect me cause it was reported as dismissed, so I figured I would wait 3 months and dispute again. I never saw the accounts though.) The loan officer is saying that my reports are pulling up 2 social security numbers, I have already verified my social to him. I think those negative marks are from that other number. He is telling me that there is nothing else he can do. He suggested I contact the credit bureaus to straighten it out.He mentioned a quick rescore but said it was too expensive.Would I be wrong to go with another lender at this point? What should I do
