  • can a patient have me kicked out of a hospital?

my brother is going through a divorce. his ex-wife has always been unusually rude to myself and the rest of our family. unfortunately, the lady he is getting divorced from is about 8 days away from having their baby. my brother wants me to go to the hospital with him for support since her entire family will be there, and since nobody else from our family lives close enough to go. he said he would feel awkward going alone since he is no longer talking to this lady. however, she just sent me a message telling me that if i try to come to the hospital when the baby is born, she will have security make me leave.

i've never yelled at her or argued with her in any way; she is just being childish. is it possible that i will really not be allowed to see my niece?

serious answers only please; i'd love to know before i even try to go out there. thank you very much!

Hi, I'm 5'3 and 117lbs. My measurements are 34-27-34, and I just wanted to see some photos of other girls with the same measurements. I can't decide if I want to lose weight or not. Thanks so much!

  • Why take a problem puppy to the pound?

My mom bought two beagle puppies about six months ago. She got them one at a time; When the first puppy started having anxiety problems anytime my mom would leave him by himself, she decided to get the second beagle puppy to keep him company. Apparently they were a bad influence on one another, and stopped being house trained. Also, their anxiety just got worse. She insists that they missed her so much she didn't feel right leaving the house. So now, she's taking them both to a shelter because she "just can't stand it anymore."

Personally, I feel like if there's some kind of problem with them being too attached to her, that leaving them and never seeing them again will only make it worse. What if they don't get adopted? Put to sleep?

I looked up a lot of information on "problem beagles" online. It seems like a lot of them are "late" to potty train, taking as long as 6 months to a year.

Has she given up too soon? Is she an irresponsible pet owner? Should I reason with her?

  • Why havent my wisdom teeth healed yet?

I had my wisdom teeth out last year in June, and though everything feels normal and nothing hurts, I still have a gaping hole in the back of my mouth where one of the teeth used to be. I still have to use that syringe to get food out every time I eat. Why hasn't it healed yet after 9 months? Will it ever heal?

  • Can anybody explain mutual funds to me?

I know the very basics. I am considering investing in mutual funds through my bank using their adviser. My main question is: Can you lose more money through mutual funds than you initially put in? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

  • How do you find a job that isn't retail?

If any of you are working a job that isn't retail, please let me know how you found it, or what kinds of resources you used.

I just got out of the military and would like to work a "regular" job for a while. I've tried Monster.com with very little luck. I'm not picky; let me know how you got hired! :)

    Thanks!

  • What causes a cat's head to shake or tremble often?

We are babysitting my brother's cat, and I have noticed that anytime he turns his head to the left or right, his head begins shaking or trembling as if he has trouble controlling it. This also happens if he's trying to follow an object with his eyes and has to move his head to keep up with it.

I have never heard of a cat doing this before. Is this a big deal? Should I take him to the vet? Thanks!

PS - Please only answer if you can help in some way. Thank you!

  • Why has my cat suddenly become more affectionate?

before we moved to a new house, i had never seen him "knead" anything at all, and instead of getting up in people's laps, he would just sit a few feet away and stare at them. but now that we have moved, he has been CONSTANTLY kneading everything, coming when he is called, and following us around everywhere we go, purring. why would he change his behaviors so much after the move?

for further information, the last place we lived in had 3 big dogs living upstairs, but they were blocked off from the cat using a baby gate. the roommates we had there also didnt like my cat, but they were never mean to him or anything. any ideas on what would make a cat suddenly become so affectionate?

  • what if a potential boyfriend is homeless?

Recently, I've gotten back in touch with my old highschool crush. We've got tons of things in common and get along great, and he is very attractive. However, last night it came out that he's been homeless for a while. He has been bouncing around from friends house to friends house, and I am not sure if he even has a job. As soon as he told me that, I've been at a loss how to feel. I'm not even sure I'm attracted to him anymore. Should something like this completely turn me off to him? Otherwise, he's great, and I've never met someone who I got along with this well before. What do you think about it?

  • Is a layer of crusty stuff on my cat's genitals after getting fixed normal?

My cat got fixed a week ago. He's been fine; his appetite is okay and he doesn't seem to be hurt.

However, he was laying on his back and I saw that there is some crusty yellowish stuff on his little balls. What is this? Discharge? He's so furry that I didn't see anything til now. They said there were no stitches; could this be an infection? I heard they sometimes close the area with glue. Maybe that's it?

    Thanks!

  • Can you tell me about your experience with spaying/neutering your cat?

I have a male kitten, and I am hesitant to get him fixed. I heard it changes their personality and their hormones. I was also thinking how selfish it seems to surgically alter an animal because it's more convenient to us.

How did your pet change after the surgery?

Do any of you have non-fixed pets? Are they ok? How annoying are they?

  • Is it okay to bend your elbow when there is an IV in your arm?

I was sick and had to go to the hospital today, where they gave me a saline solution intravenously. While the IV was in my arm, another nurse came in and told me to undress for an EKG. I asked her if we could remove the needle from my arm first.

She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Uhh, you can bend your arm." When I did, blood went back up the IV tube for about 6 inches, and it caused a little pain. However, now I can barely move that arm at the elbow and it is very sore.

    Was she wrong?

  • Where can I sell a finished dollhouse?

I'm building one myself, and if it looks good I'd like to sell it. Any ideas how I can get this going? I looked at eBay, but it doesn't seem to be very popular.

Anyone know of a good website for this?

  • Does my cellphone bill affect my credit report?

My phone got cut off this morning, apparently because the bill hasn't been paid. I had it set to automatically come out of my account, but the cellphone company just didn't take it out for a month or so, and then turned off my phone.

I paid the bill and the phone's back on. Will that unpaid bill affect my credit report, or will it even show up on it?

  • What size are you?

I'm a girl in my 20s and I wear a size 6. Is this average?

I've been trying to lose some weight because in high school i was a size 2. I was just wondering if I am overreacting to how much weight I've gained in the past 5 years.

  • If my cat were as big as me, would he eat me?

I was just wondering. Cats attack anything smaller than themselves, and if my cat were bigger than me, I am not sure if he would still let me pet him, or if he would just eat me. Anybody know?

  • Why are Ragdoll and Ragamuffin kittens so similar?

I bought a ragamuffin kitten from a lady who was selling both ragamuffins and ragdolls, and was just wondering if one kind is supposed to be better than the other kind.

I've read that they're two different breeds, but I have also read that ragamuffins can be ragdolls that weren't up to standards. Is that true?
