I am married with four children two boys and two girls. I'm a motorcycle ATV and PWC technician. I enjoy most forms of motor sports, "hate nascar sorry" specially off-road. I enjoy my family bar-b-q cold beer and talking tech.

  • Yamaha Rhino runability issue?

I am very familiar with these machines, but one of my customers units has me scratching my head. its a mildly modded 660 rhino with a slip-on and aftermarket airbox. It seems to "stumble at high r's under acceleration. valves are set, carb is clean and jetted, I have tried 2 known good cdi box's, new plug, plug cap, primary coil and pulse coil test good, and the unit has fresh 91 in the tank . where do i go from here guys? I have lost about 2 days labor on this glorified golf cart and don't really know where to look next.

    please no stupid comments.

  • How do I build my KA24DE?

I'm looking to get 190-250 bhp out of a ka2.4 engine while maintaining the low rpm characteristics and higher torque than HP. I am a race engine builder, but most of my motors have been single cylinder ATV ordirt bike engines. I also have some small block Ford and Mopar engines under my belt. the KA2.4 will be used in a "class 7" desert off road race truck. I'm dead set on using this engine as I am already very impressed with it. Please do not answer me with a link to a web site but any knowledge someone could lend me would be much appreciated. The more technical your answer the better as I am an accomplished technician already. PS please no BS answers I am not an idiot.

  • Where are the performance parts?

Can anyone help me find performance parts for the Nissan 2.4L 16-valve l-4 engine? Not cold air intakes and exhust tips, but cams intake manifolds, ignitions and hard parts. The engine in question is the truck motor from the frontier. I'm not concerned about emissions.

  • Is love lost?

Has the world lost all sight of love? Not the love between couples or spouses, but the love we should feel for each and every person we encounter. It should be human nature to feel compassion for every one we meet. but does the world function this way still or are we all just lost.

  • Horse Power and Torque?

Is there any other form of power measure that can be used to rate an engine other than torque and horse power? The reason I ask is because I have seen engines with identical horse power and torque curves on the "dyno" which "feel" very different in the real world.
