  • how to counter when the net player is being cut off?

my partner is a net monster but once our opponents figure this out and are able to lob they take her out of the game. I try my best to set her up for some overheads but some of our opponents are able to isolate her and remove her from the equation. She trolls the net waiting for her put way shot while I am having my legs run off at the base line tring to lob or let hte ball drop enough that I can drive it. How far back should she move in order to become part of the action?

  • Any horse owners here have any experience with a wry nose foal?

Foal born with mild wry nose. I have looked at several websites and a veterinary surgeon will be seeing the foal very soon but I am looking for any horse owners that have had personal experience with the condition. We have some hard choices to make with this otherwise lovely foal.

  • How much do I tip a kid's tennis coach?

I would like to give my daughter's tennis coach some money this Christmas. She takes an hour group lesson and a 1/2 hour private every week for a total of $40/week. He always has her come early or stay late and play with another kid or practice against the backboard while he is teaching another lesson. So she isn't being taught for the extra time but he does supervise and remind them what to work on. What would be a good amount to give him in his Xmas card?

  • My daughter has been DQ'd in 2 races this season because of false starts.?

She is not coming off the block to early but rather she 'flinches'. She is only 10 and I know she is a little nervous. She has been competing for 2 years now and this is a new problem. She is booking some great BB and A times but then is DQ'd. She comes out of the pool happy and not fussed about the DQ's.

I don't want to pester her or make it seem like a big deal. Anything I can tell her other than 'stay still!' or is this just a 'blip'?

  • Mexicans why will you not address the problems you have in Mexico with your government?

How about rising up and doing something about the corrupt people in power, the corrupt police. Mexican people are smart, they have a good work ethic and Mexico has many natural resources. Mexico could have a thriving economy.

  • Question for the 9/11 conspiracy theorists...?

I will confess I have not spent hours reading up on the 'proof' you all have that the US government is responsible for 9/11 but something that never seems to be explained is why the government did not go one step further with this and plant WMD's in Iraq? Seems to me that if this govt. was sophisticated enough to bring down the towers and hijack planes, they would have thought to do this and justify everything they are doing in Iraq.

  • Nutrition/practice for a swim meet?

Mu daughter swims competetivly and this is an aspect her club is not addressing. How do I prepare her for a meet in the few days prior to the event? Her times improve in the first 3 events but for the last 2 she seems to lose steam. She swims/works out 4 times a week and most meets are on Saturday. Should she rest on the Thursday and Friday prior to meets? What kind of breakfast should she have the day of a meet and what kind of snacks should we pack? At what intervals should she eat. She often has 30 minutes between races. She is only 10 but is getting BB and A times for her age group and I want to help her in the best way I can.
