I have twice lost my entire panel in the last year because of a faulty computer power supply. An electrician called in to investigate came to the conclusion that this is relatively normal. I feel that the individual circuit should almost always trip before the panel. The circuit breaker was changed after the first occurrence so it is probably not at fault. He suggests the power bars breaker should have blown and because it did not that I should replace the power bar. Any ideas?

I have two piles of freshly cut logs, one pile of aspen and one pile of white ash. All the logs have a diameter of 4 - 6" and they are 10 - 20' long. Which should I use ? Should I remove the bark and/or treat the wood ? How long could this fence last for before it rots ?

I have a 105 Kg hinged cabinet attached to a wall with four lag bolts. The specifications state that the wall construction must be able to take a pullout load of 1.4 KN or 140 kp. I don't have any idea how to determine if my wall construction or choice of fasteners is adequate.

I have a directory which contains many MP3's. They all have very long file names. I would like to rename them all to shorter names with one command.

They all have _20 repeated several times over and over in each filename. If I could simply remove that from each filename every time it occurs I would be delighted.

Our daughter is 18 months old and she is happy at her daycare. The women working there have changed frequently but her 'classmates' have all been the same. She has been attending daycare since October and while it took a couple months to get use to it, she has settled in quite happily. My wife now wants to change to a different daycare with more toys and activities while I think that the stress it might put on our child would not be worth a few new toys and a bigger play yard. My wife believes that 18 month old children would not be affected by a change like this.

Any comments or experiences anybody could share would be appreciated.

I have a rental property that I would like to get some equity out of. If I refinance the mortgage would I have to pay income tax on the money that I take out ?
