What is the average educational level of agriculture workers in Japan?
I'm working on a research paper and although I've found lots of information on the agricultural labor force in Japan, I can't seem to find what the average level of education for these workers are.
Could anyone help me with this? Also, if you happen to find a good informative site, please include it as it will probably have lots more information that will be beneficial to me.
2 AnswersJapan9 years agoCan you name one item, available in most countries, that has the same dimensions throughout the entire world?
I'm trying to think of an item that regardless of which country you're in, would have the same dimensions. Currency wouldn't work since many countries use different currency. Soda cans wouldn't work since the sizes differ in most countries.
Can anybody think of something?

Just wondering if the dimensions of a Coke/Pepsi can are the same in all countries.

A sign at the grocery store's fish case said that their salmon was "refreshed". What is that suppose to mean?

I see some clams at a seafood market (I believe they're called steamer clams) and they have a dark, little thing sticking out of them. If they're tapped on, they go back into their shell. Anyone know what these are?
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoIs what I saw today a Gold Sifting Desk?
Bear with me, I'm going to try my best to describe what I saw today:
Today I found an old desk that has 3 or 4 drawers on the right side and a pull out tray right above where your legs would sit (think about this as if it were the sliding keyboard tray on a newer desk). This pullout tray is not a solid piece of wood however, it's just a frame (think picture frame...it has the shape of a rectangle but it is empty on the inside). Covering this empty space that's inside of this pullout tray is a piece of material (similar to canvas). There's also another drawer that is around 2"x2" but is about 18" long...this drawer looks like a solid piece of wood that has had notches cut into it to hold very small items.
Get all that? I hope so.
Anyways, "Gold Sifting Desk" is the best idea I can come up with for what this item was. But I really have no clue and can not find anything about it on Google. Furthermore, I do not know how convenient a desk would be to sift through dirt and rocks, since the desk is obviously not that portable.
Any clues if I am guessing correctly or does anyone know what this piece of furniture might be?
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoProblem with Voting in the Church?
Little background info first: My father was the pastor at the church I'm attending now. In Feb. of this year he passed away and the church choose to continue giving the pastor's salary to my mother for 3 months. Well 3 months just passed and the church has taken another vote Sunday morning to see if she should continue receiving the "Full Salary", "Half Salary" or "No Salary" for the next 3 months only. Of the 62 members that voted, 17 people said she should receive the "Full Salary", 19 said she should receive "Half Salary" and 26 said she should receive "No Salary". Well tonight in service, the temp. pastor announced that "No Salary" was voted on the most and therefore she will receive no more financial help.
Now, the church has been amazing to my Mom regardless of what their decision might have been, but since 36 members (19+17) want her to receive at least some type of salary as opposed to the 26 who do not, doesn't their decision seem to be giving my Mom some salary for the next 3 months?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is fat tissue made of?
Stick with me....I've heard that the muscle fibers in your body are made up of mostly protein (like the kind you get from meat) and water (if it's made up of more I'd like to know that too or tell me if this is completely wrong). So if someone asked what's muscle made of, you could say something like, "Protein and water".
So what's fat tissue made of? Is it really just fat (like the kind you get from food) or is it something more?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoIs there any health risk from cutting sticks of computer RAM in half?
I know some parts of the computer can contain hazard materials (lead, copper, etc...) and was wondering: If I were to cut RAM in half, sand the edges or hold the RAM daily...could it be harmful to my health?
4 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoHigh protein or Well balanced diet?
I'm a 22 year old male, ~310lbs and last time I check (about a year ago) around 33% body fat. Haven't really worked out much since high school 4 years ago, when I weighed a little more (345lbs) and had a much smaller body fat percentage (around 20%).
So here's the deal, I want to loose some weight now and get in a much better shape. I'm in college, walking a ton and have a great facility to workout in. But here's my question:
When I start working out, should I be eating healthy, but also eating a lot of protein to put on muscle or should I just eat a healthier/balanced diet?
5 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHelp with weight lifting program?
I'm now in college and have free access to a large weight room/rec center. I haven't done any weightlifting in 4-6 years and would love to get back to it. But I'm not sure what I should be doing. In the past we just did whatever was on the workout board in high school. But now I don't know what to do, when to do it or how many times they need to be done.
Anybody have a good workout routine that they could share to maybe get me started?
