  • My almost 2 year old daughter takes over 2 hours to fall asleep at night. She does not fight us to go to bed?

She has a fairly rigid bedtime routine and yet, she sits in her crib, sometimes content, others crying, for 2 hours before she falls asleep. Any suggestions?

  • Anyone go to court to contest a speeding ticket before? I'm in NJ?

I got a speeding ticket today during a police speed trap...I got a 4 point ticket. I was thinking of going to court to contest it, so at least I wouldn't have that many points on my insurance. But I don't know how the whole court thing works...is it true that if the officer doesn't show up, its dropped? Will I make an a** of myself if I go to contest?

I would love to hear from anyone who's been there!done that!

  • Help with stray/wild cat?

There has been a stray/wild cat living among several yards for about 2 years now. Well last night, it decided it was going to be friendly and it came over to me while I was out front (it has ran from us the last two years). Well now it won't leave our front porch! And when it didn't get a reaction from us there, it was smart enough to go around back and sit on our deck, at our sliding glass doors. It has stayed there for almost 15 hours now. Our two dogs inside don't seem to phase this cat! What can I do to keep it away? I didn't want to call animal control b/c they'll just kill it. And no, I did not feed the cat.

  • Crate Training question-What to use to cover the cold floor?

I adopted 2 puppies recently. They are 12 weeks old. The one is doing fine in her crate & not going to the bathroom in it. Her sister, is not. Despite us going home during lunch breaks, she still manages to urinate in her crate during the day (she holds it all night for us). We had towels on the bottom of the crates, but the internet says to remove all "absorbant" things from the crate. So I was wondering what I should use instead of a towel for the cold, metal floor of the crate?

    Any suggestions would be helpful

  • I have NO symptoms?

My husband and I have been TTC for 5 months. This month I have started taking my BBT and tracking it using fertilityfriend.com. It noted that I did ovulate around day 14, so I am expecting my period within the next few days. Yet, I have no PMS symptoms or pregnancy symptoms. Is that weird? The website recommends testing on tuesday, so I am trying to be good and wait until then.

So has anyone who has conceived had NO symptoms before getting a positive.

Also-I know the average luteal phase is 14 days. How long is your's? Right now, mine is on day 15

  • Keeping a cake moist and soft?

I am baking a cake for a birthday on Saturday, but due to time constraints, I have to bake it tonight (thursday). How do I keep this cake moist and soft until Saturday. Do I refridgerate it or wrap it tight and leave it out. It will basically be a devils food cake.

  • Has anyone had to get bloodwork day 3 of their period?

I went to the dr's last month and he ordered several test, including bloodwork on day 3 of my period. I went to him b/c I was spotting for several days before my period actually starts. Well, I am on cycle day 41 (yes, I know thats long. Mine usually average 34 days) and I began to spot yesterday.

So should I go for bloodwork tomorrow or wait until a full blown period comes (I am nervous it may not b/c of how late in my cycle it is).

I have a call into the doctor, but I wanted to hear some thoughts from caring woman

  • What did it feel like at 4 weeks, 5 weeeks, 6 weeks into pregnancy?

What did you feel during these 3 time frames? Any symptoms you remember? Any you didn't have that you'd thought you would? Any spotting? I know every woman is different.

  • I am 5 days late and am getting a negative result. How long before you got a positive?

I wouldn't say I have many of the typical symptoms. But I have been gassy, bloated, have had heartburn, and some dull cramping. My breast are not sore, but I do get "sensations" that radiate through them.

Please offer some kind thoughts. I am going crazy. I am going to call the doctor in the morning to see what he suggests, as tomorrow will be cycle day 40

  • Are you bored? Read through my post and share your thoughts?

I am several days late for AF (2 or 3 days, I am irregular), but for the past week or so, I have been bloated daily, gassy daily, mild/dull cramping, and have gotten heartburn on a regular basis.

I planning on testing tomorrow morning, but in the meantime, while I am waiting, I thought I'd ask for your thoughts..

  • What type of pain is felt in breasts?

I have read many questions about woman who have sore/painful breast as an indicator to pregnancy, but I want to know what type of pain. See I have been having sensations, off & on, run through my breast, sometimes they are painful and other times they are just tender sensations. My breasts are not sore to touch. I don't normally get tender or sore boobs during pms, so that is why I am asking to describe the pain.

    * I am expecting my period this Saturday, but I also have been ttc. I am trying to be good at waiting these long two weeks patiently! I plan to test on Saturday if AF does not arrive by then.

  • For those who had a period and were pregnant..?

I guess you thought you were not pregnant after having a period, but what made you take a test & find out? My period ended 5 days ago and my abdmonimal area has just been feeling crampy and I have had some major headaches. What are the statistics that this occurs? How did you feel/symptoms?

I really don't want to waste money on a pregnancy test. I do have a doctor's appointment next week.
