  • Legal Question; forcing sale of LLC stock.?

An LLC owned by three people split 50%/40%/10%. 50% owner notifies corporate attorney of his desire to sell stock to remaining owners following a disagreement. Attorney prepares paperwork. 50% owner hasn't been to work in 18 months, nor has he signed over the stock. He's alive and well, just being difficult. This all began with a disagreement two years ago. Is there a legal instrument wherein he could be served at his last known residence and given an ultimatum. The premise of which would be "you haven't been to work or in contact with the other owners in a over year, the company has effectively been in operational limbo, respond in 30 days or your stock gets transferred as per the original agreement" ? Or is this going to have to go to court? State is VA

  • Finder a replacement zipper slider?

I have a missing slider on a zipper for the back flap of a soft top on a truck. The intact slider says YKK, but there are no numbers or sizes on it, so I don't know what to order. How do slider sizes work? Is it based on the number of zipper teeth per inch?

  • calculating the weight of a wood framed structure?

Is there any "rule of thumb" for calculating the weight of a wood framed residence assuming 2 x 4 framing? Trying to find an approximate weight per square foot for the lumber itself. I can figure in shingles, sheet rock and flooring material separately.

  • Corrosion protection question.?

Can a sacrificial anode of either zinc or magnesium be attatched to a car frame to protect it from corrosion. Would the anode need to be encapsulated in a damp media? Or since Dc voltage is available, is it better to use some type of a rectifier/ impressed current setup? Will any of this work?

  • Lawsuit against a bankruptcy trustee???

We believe we have a case against a trustee for, among other things, breach of feduciary responsibility. He was the appointed trustee in a chapter 11 case, and mis-represented the position of the company to push for liquidation. He told the banks that were financing the company that he had buyers, and would be able to expedite the sale if the banks would step aside and allow him to force a chapter 7 wherein he would have complete control. It's been 20 months, nothing's been sold, no creditors have been paid, the collateral was released to the banks but they have been unable to sell it. The principals are out 3 plus million dollars and a company which had a 25 year history was completely destroyed. Now, the trustee is lying low. A new judge has been appointed, and it appears that they are just trying to make the whole thing go away. Read more about the debacle on PACER/Hampshire Distributors, Inc.

  • What is the speed of gravity?

Does gravity have a speed at which it reacts in relationship to an object here on earth. If gravity is a force, then does it have a speed or is it a constant. If gravity travels at light speed, then why can light not escape black holes? If it has a constant speed here on Earth, then is the speed slower on planets with less mass, faster on larger planets. Perhaps when considering gravitational measurement, we have to measure the speed relative to the force, is one(speed or force) meaningless without the other?

  • Does the weight of the Earth ever change?

Excluding living organisms, does the weight of the planet earth ever change, or is it in equilibrium. Are there noticeable weight losses in raw materials which are consumed by humans (fossil fuel) and not replaced. When iron ore is mined to make steel, there has to be a net weight loss between the weight of mined ore, and the amount of steel produced. Likewise with many other materials. Does all of this somehow effect the overall gravitational mass of the planet? Just curious if anyone has ever studied this.
