Hair Transplant Help?
Planning on getting a hair transplant. Visited most of the bigger places in LA. Seen photos and actual patients. Here's my question, the biggest most well known place charges about twice as much as some of the others. I did like their work and I did feel most comfortable there. But would I be getting the same thing somewhere else? Anyone have any first hand experience?
2 AnswersHair1 decade agoLaser Combs. Hairmax Vs. Viatek?
I'm interested in purchasing a laser comb that promotes hair growth. The hairmax has proven to be effective. I saw another product called Viatek for several hundred dollars less. Is it the same thing? Is it a scam? It seems like it's too good to be true, but it is also not uncommon to find a name brand that sells for substantially more than another product that will perform equally. Anyone know anything about this?
3 AnswersHair1 decade agoAny thoughts on this?
When I was a kid I was as big a fan as any of the shows that were popular with kids. But I never thought that I could BE on one of the shows. Me and all of my friends always talked about the big important things we were going to do when we grew up. But none of us ever thought we could get famous right then and there. Why is it that kids today think they can get on TV? Is it because since the advent of cable there is more kids programming? Don't tell me it's because kids are dumber than they were. People are the same since the beginning of recorded history. Any thoughts?
7 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoIs anyone paying attention?
There is a link for an online casting scam right here in answers. What is with the moderators? Let's bring it to their attention. The very type of thing the professionals on here are trying to save people from being taken by and they have a sponsored link!
3 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoIs anyone with me?
Okay, I posted this question in polls and surveys and no one answered. At least here I've got some friends and may get some responses. I've yet to find someone who has agreed with me on all three of these points. They have nothing to do with theater and acting of course. Answer all three and I'll post my answers and see if I have found any kindred spirits. Do you prefer Col. Blake or Col. Potter? Frosted or unfrosted pop tarts? Toasted or cold?
6 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoActing question?
I am a zygote. I have dreamed of being an actor since I was conceived three days ago. I live on an uncharted island in Micronesia without plumbing or electricity. How can I be on the Disney channel? Are there any acting agents where I live that represent the unborn? Also, am I too old to start? I know that Miley Cyrus had invitro singing lessons immediately upon conception. I want this sooooooooo bad! I have been working at this since I was young. Can someone tell me a website? Thank you sooooooo much?
7 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoBlake or Potter, Frosted or Plain?
Okay, please answer both parts of this. I have never found anyone who agrees with me on both and I'm sure there must be a kindred spirit out there. Do you prefer Col. Blake or Col. Potter? And frosted or plain poptarts? And you can throw in whether you prefer your poptarts toasted or untoasted if you'd like. Let's see who's like me!
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoAnyone have any thoughts on this?
I think it's perfectly normal for a young kid to think they can grow up to be famous. But most of the kids who post questions here want to be famous now. IMO that's another matter altogether. That's seems a bit sick to me. Especially when a kid gets lots of answers explaining why it's not realistic and then asks the same question over and over. The first time it can be chalked up to naivette. After that there's no excuse. Dumb adults invariably started out as dumb kids. I know plenty of adults who try and fail time and time again to get rich.
It never occurs to them they don't have what it takes and they never will. They live in a state of perpetual disappointment. It's
normal and healthy to fantasize. And lots of the kids who post here will get over the idea fast. But I think there are plenty of kids on here who are flat out delusional and will grow up to be the same way. Any thoughts?
8 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoNo good deed goes unpunished?
I tried to be helpful to the kids who pollute this forum every day with their "how do I get famous" type questions. I got some e-mails from a few kids who wanted me to check out some websites. I did, and now I'm getting bombarded with spam! I know that's the reason because I never got any before and I never go to sites that I know are aimed at the ignorant. Just a heads up to the few out there who know what they are talking about. Be careful what you do.
4 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoHow about a get together?
There are a few people who post here regularly who are pro level actors who live in LA. We have all expressed our frustrations over all of the kids who post here looking to get famous. What say we all get together and go bowling? Anyone in LA care to network?
4 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoI just got a new kitten. Someone's cat had kittens and they found this little guy had joined the group.?
I ended up with him. He looks like a ragdoll mix. He's VERY calm and likes to be petted everywhere. I had picked the name Clancy after Chief Wiggam. I wanted a Simpsons reference. Now I'm thinking Lenny, or Vito, or Sal, or Ignacio, or Vinny or Arsenio. Anybody got any cool ideas for names?

5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWho else wants to get rid of the MLM scammers?
There are entirely too many people who are using this forum to try to expand their downlines. It would be very easy for Yahoo to get rid of these people. This is a violation of the community guidelines. They ARE trying to sell something. They are an annoyance for those of us who really want to use this forum as it was intended to be used. I say we the users who've had enough finally try to get these people off of here once and for all. If enough of us sent e-mails about this to yahoo answers they may do something about this. Report every errant post you see immediately. Anyone with me on this?
2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoI've had enough?
I am a professional actor. I go on this part of answers to share my knowledge and experience with others who care to learn. I also want to learn from others. It's very rare that anyone posts a worthwhile question on here. It's always "How do I get on the Disney Channel?" "How do I become an actor?" "How do I get an agent?" What really gets me is the people who answer obviously don't have any idea what they are talking about. Why answer a question if you don't know? You're not helping anyone. There are a few people who give truly great answers. I really enjoyed reading them. That's why I kept coming back. But usually it's the same thing. Questions from people who aren't interested in acting, they are interested in getting rich and famous. Frustrating that so few have respect for what I do. Well, you've driven me off at least for now. One final word, if you don't know the answer to your question you obviously haven't studied the craft and are not ready to do it for money
9 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoTo everyone who asks how to get started as an actor especially the young kids...?
First of all, you can't get into Disney channel auditions without being represented by a real agent. You can't get into ANY auditions without rep. People with years of professional experience have a hard time getting signed by a real agent. You have no chance at all without professional training. There is no such thing as a modeling/talent scout. Real agents have experienced professionals beating down their doors to get signed. They don't send people out to malls to "discover" new talent. Anyone who approaches you is a scammer. If you want to be an actor you need to train. If you are doing it to get famous forget it. You won't. If you want to be an actor you can be one. If you want to be a star quit now. If you want to get work you have to live in L.A. or N.Y. Your local talent agent can't get you into auditions there. It's hard to be an actor. Have some respect for the profession and the craft. Not to mention those of us who have devoted our lives to it.
5 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoToday the Gov. of Oregon went shopping with $21 worth of food stamps.?
He wanted to illustrate the point that it's impossible for one person to eat for a week on that. I say nonsense! I guarantee that if I had to I could do it with money and food left over. You won't be eating lobster but you could more than adequately sustain yourself on that. If you need help you should get it. But how much more in the way of handouts do the permanently poor expect? It's that mentality that keeps them poor. What do you think?
15 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoHas anyone else had enough of this?
Just about every day someone asks "How can I get rich?" Is it not obvious that you if you save a portion of your income and invest it, over time you will accumualte wealth? That and "What business should I start?" Is it not obvious that if you are not an expert in a given area your business will almost definitely fail? Ever watch "Amercian Idol?" People who are ugly and can't sing are trying to be famous pop stars. Then they blame Simon. Same thing here. People who lack the basics want to outperform the pack. Another favorite, "How do I get a lot of money fast?" You can't and if you did you'd be broke again in no time. It's no wonder the spammers who are trying to pitch their MLM scams post here.
These people are probably stupid enough to sign up. (And Yahoo does nothing to stop them.) I go on here because I know a lot about finance and I like to help people. Doesn't happen often. Is anyone else get as frustrated as I do with these types? How do you deal with it?
6 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoWhat can we do to get rid of the spammers?
This is a wonderful community. One of my favorite places on the web. I answer questions mostly in personal finance. Almost every question gets at least one response from a spammer. Yesterday someone posted literally thousands of responses with a link to his website. (I checked his profile, he had earned thousands of points that day.) BTW he didn't actually answer any questions. Flagrant violations. These people diminish my (and I'm assuming other people's) enjoyment. I flag them all the time. I'd think the legitimate users of this community should try to do something about this situation. Is there some way to report these people on a larger scale? Can we bring it to the attention of Yahoo? I know your Yahoo priviledges can be suspended. Most of these people are out for an easy buck. If they were not allowed to use Yahoo it would affect their "businesses." Do we just have to put up with it? Anyone know anything?
