  • How can I get my new Fuji Finepix HS20exr to take pictures faster?

I find the camera sluggish, and it takes 2 to 3 seconds before it'll take the next shot. I've missed several great action shots this way and I find it frustrating. Help? (I'm using a class 10 SD card, so that is not the problem) Is there a mode I should be using or something? Can you recommend a good tutorial on the camera?

  • Who sings this song?

It's a slower song, sounds sorta like lifehouse, it goes "You and me, and all of the people, (something in here I can't recall) I can't take my eyes off of you" or something to that affect. Thanks for the help!

  • Ilooking for pen pals from Montana USA?

I've found some nice pen pal sites, but I've not been able to find many people from Montana. I'm particularly interested in that area of the US.

Can anyone suggest where I might have some luck in finding a Montana pen pal? (No prisoners/criminals/perverts)

    Thanks for reading!

  • Why does it seem that most gay people are not looking for a lasting relationship, just "right now"?

I'm not saying this to anger anyone or generalize the entire gay poplulation...But in my limited experience I've come to the conclusion that most gay people (male and female) don't have or really seem to want long term (1+ years) relationships. I have known some gay folks who were together many years, it just doesn't seem common. Why is this?

  • Why is the gay community so negative towards bisexuals?

I'm confused as to why it seems the gay community is so negative toward bisexual individuals? I have a good friend who is bisexual and (I'm a married het.) and sometimes on weekends we go out together. In deferrence to her sexual preferences I occasionally go out to gay establishments with her so she has a chance to meet women. I've noticed that if she says to she's Bi in these places people just act like "Forget you" and she has trouble meeting people. When she doesn't mention that, and folks assume she's a lesbian, she meets tons of people.

I'd appreciate some mature, and polite explainations as to why this is...thanks!

  • Need help buying a guitar please?

I'd like to learn to play guitar. I'm not "starting a band" or hoping to be a musican professionally. I just want to play. I don't know anything about guitars, what to look for etc. I stopped in to a music store to look and the sales guy just confused me with things like "Humbuckers" and "single coils" and "hollowbody" "solidbody" and "semisolidbody" and glued necks vs bolted necks, "sustain" etc...I left feeling stupid.

I don't know what to buy. I like both classic rock and country music. I'd like a guitar I can play both on. I also know nothing about gear for the guitar...Amps, cases, cords, polishing, humidity???

Please help if you have knowledge in this area...thanks.

  • Job interview, how many times should you contact them?

On april 11 I had an interview that went well. The day after the interview I mailed thank you letters. They said in two weeks they'd start calling. I called them after two weeks and was told that they were backlogged and it'd be another week. Tomorrow is the end of that week. Should I send this email...

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the interview team again for speaking with me on April 11 about the _______ position at ______. I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding this opportunity again.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

If I send it am I "keeping myself in front of them" or am I just being annoying???

I want the job, but I'm getting tired of waiting. I feel like I should remind them that I am here waiting, but I also don't want them to think I'm annoying...

  • Job Interview follow up?

April 11 I had a job interview that I felt went well. They said it would be around 2 weeks before they called anyone. The day after the interview I mailed thank you letters to my interviewers. After two weeks and one day I called and spoke with the HR person who interviewed me and she indicated that they had gotten back logged and said it might be another week or so before calls went out. Tomorrow would be the end of that third week. I'm anxious and am tired of waiting, but I understand there isn't much I can do. Would it be a good idea to send an email to my interviewers just saying thank you again? I thought about saying something like "Thank you for taking the time to interview me, and I look forward to speaking to you about this opportunity again."

  • Root canal questions, please?

I had tooth pain and went to see my dentist, he said I needed a root canal. So I had it done. It is my top, front center tooth, right in the front where you can't miss seeing it so I've been worried about the tooth. Anyway this last tuesday they filled the tooth with the gutta percha but he put a temp filling instead of the permanent filling, which he said I'd get the final permanent filling this coming tuesday. Today I woke up with a little throbbing, not really pain. The dentist said he wanted me to take antibiotics for another week to make sure the infection I had had was completely cleared. Tuesday I go back in. (I am NOT getting a crown, it's not needed he said due to the tooth not having any decay/cracks/chips etc)

My question here is just that I am scared of why my tooth is acting up again today and I am wondering if anyone had this experience? I'm just frustrated and scared and hoping someone here can give me some reassurance that the tooth will be ok, or whatever...thanks!

  • Returning to the workforce after being off for years???

I haven't had a fulltime job since 2003 when I went back to college. I graduated in 2005 and was unable to find anything that applied to my degree until now. I had an interview yesterday and I feel that I have a decent chance at this job. Now I am starting to worry about getting back into the working world. For so long I've slept when I wanted to, ate when I wanted to, got up and gone where/when I wanted to...I'm a little intimidated by jumping into a 12 hour a day, 5 day a week job. This is a serious job, the kind you could retire from, with great bennies, great pay etc. I can't screw this up! I'm really nervous though. I'm afraid I am going to hate the "restricted" feeling, and it's going to make me unhappy. But I have to do this and do it well and make it work. Can anyone help me out here? Advice for surviving the workworld for a youger person who is just getting into their first REAL job...? Thanks

  • Question about this job interview I had yesterday?

At the beginning of the interview they said "After the interview we'd like you to call us back and confirm your interest in the position again." This was repeated at the end of the interview. How SOON should I call? Is today too soon? Is tomorrow too late? I'm sort of torn on WHEN...This is a big time job, not some department store, this is the kind of job you retire from.

  • Who has had a root canal, especially on a front tooth?

I had terrible tooth pain on Saturday, and two days before I had some minor kind of "throbbing" pain, but very minor. Well, Saturday it was no longer minor and it hurt so bad I couldn't close my teeth together. I went in to the dentist office Saturday on an emergency call. He xrayed and said I need a root canal. So I said ok and he started it. He drilled the hole in the tooth (top, front/center tooth) and puss etc started draining out. Apparently it was infected a bit cause the nerve was dying. Well he let it drain and filed it out for almost an hour. Then he said he couldn't put a filling in yet because it was infected and draining, so he flooded it with bleach (Sodium Hypochloride) to kill bacteria, rinsed it and packed it with cotton and sent me home with antibiotics and vicodin. I'm not taking the vicodin the pain isn't that bad. Tomorrow I go in to be checked and have the cotton removed, and a temp filling put in. A week later he'll check it and put in the permanent filling.

  • Should I remove my tongue ring for good?

I've had my tongue pierced since I was 18, and I am now 25. I've enjoyed it and all but at 25 I feel like maybe I'm too old to have that sort of piercing. I've graduated college and am now pursuing serious employment in my chosen field and I worry that potential employers may notice and be put off by it. I'm a little torn about getting rid of it. Part of me feels like I'm giving up part of my youth by getting rid of it, another part says it's time to move on. Opinions? No rudeness please. Thanks.

  • Everyday minerals makeup?

    www.everydayminerals.com

Is this a good makeup? I liked the fact that they noted it did NOT contain Bismuth. I don't know if Bismuth bothers my skin or not but I have a feeling it would since I am pretty sensitive. I ordered a sample kit for me, and my mother, who also wants to try it. I am hoping to find some Everyday minerals makeup wearers here who can tell me if it is good, what are any problems that you have encountered with it etc? Thanks for well thought out, informative answers!
