Is this a good quote for a tattoo?
I am a person who seems to worry constantly, and was thinking of getting this tattoo as a reminder that worrying doesn't make anything better:
"Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow"
I think that's a good representation of it and I like how it's short. I was thinking of maybe incorporating a dove or something in with it. But what do you think? Anyone else have short quotes about not worrying? I'd get it on my upper/outer thigh.
suggestions? ideas??
no rude comments please :-)
5 AnswersTattoos10 years agoWhen can I wear shoes and socks again?
I got a tattoo on my foot 2 weeks ago and have been wearing flipflops. I just started to peel too. When will it be okay to wear socks and shoes? I'll be studying abroad at the end of may to chile so it will be its winter there so I'm definitely going to need to wear regular shoes!
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoWhy does this happen!?? :-(?
I got a tattoo 2 weeks ago on the side of my left foot of swirly designs & three flowers. The flowers are JUST starting to peel......the one has pretty much peeled and like, ALL the purple ink peeled off with it too!! You can hardly see the purple and it looks so faded :-( This didn't happen with my other tattoo!! Is it the area because the skin's more thin there? I am going to get a touch up but I don't want the same thing to happen again when I touch it up! How come the ink won't stay in? :-( :-(
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoIs it better to work out before or after eating?
I'm just wondering if it's better to work out on an empty stomach.............or work out a few hours after eating (to avoid cramps). Or does it not matter? I was thinking of starting to work out right after waking up in the morning? Is that better or worse? Or doesn't matter?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoTattoo healing question???
I got a tattoo last sunday (the 17th) so it's been like 11 days......It's on the side/top of my foot of flowers but it still feels rough/leathery! Only one flower is starting to peel but I can still 'feel' it underneath.....the other ones still feel and the black swirly design surrounding the flowers I can still feel too. My other tattoo I got on the lower right side of my back peeled within like 5 days, and then it was smooth! Why does my foot one still feel rough? I have been caring for it properly like my other one. Is it just because of the location?? Will this go away in time? Maybe foot tattoos just take longer to fully heal and be smooth??? Anyone have ideas?
1 AnswerTattoos1 decade agoFoot tattoos.........tolerable?
i already have a tattoo on my lower right side of my back, so I know what it feels like to get a tattoo....however I know that the foot is a different experience. Can anyone who has one tell me what it's like? How much worse is it from a tattoo in a different spot? Also... do you think this could ruin any possible chances of future employment?? I graduate at the end of this year from college. I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to cover up, I could wear shoes and socks, and if I worse sandals, then the pant leg would cover most of it up. What do you think? I already have a design chosen!
4 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoplease HELP!! Tattoo care urgent question!!!?
I just got a tattoo 4 days ago. I just got out of the shower and patted it dry and immediately put on the tattoo moisturizer "after inked" that I have been using. This time, however, I started rubbing it in part of the top layer of skin is like, peeling off, but not coming off....just sitting on top and the tattoo looks horrible right now. Is this okay???????? Will it go back to normal?? I know i'm not supposed to pick at it, so I'll let the skin fall off on its own, but its like sticking to it, all gross and creamy from the lotion.
heelppp, is this okay???? will everything turn out okay???
*people with tattoos/ tattoo knowledge please!!!*
6 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoWhat is the BEST lotion to use on a new tattoo?
I just got my tattoo 3 days ago, and have been using "After Inked" lotion on it, but i'm almost out because I only got a little packet of it. I've heard so many different answers, like lubriderm and aquaphor, but doesn't aquaphor have petroleum in it? So I'm just wondering what lotion I should buy for my tattoo. What's best for it and why???? (And is it true that some will pull ink out??)
HELP!! I need a good lotion for my new tattoo!!!!!!!!
6 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoCan you take a pet rat to a regular vet?
My boyfriend's male pet rat has had a sore on his, well...balls and it's been there for a while. He's been putting neosporin on it, but it's only been helping minimally. So can he take him to any animal vet/clinic to get him checked out?
9 AnswersRodents1 decade agowhy does my tattoo feel so stiff/tight!?
I just got a tattoo 2 days ago, and even when I JUST put on moisturizer, it still feels super stiff. It's on the far right side of my lower back, so maybe it's the location? When I move/bend/twist/walk...it just feels tight. It's okay right? Also... I'm still soooo soree!! :-( Hopefully the soreness will go away? (not necessarily sunburn-like, just sore pain in general)
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoHow long is a new tattoo supposed to hurt/be really tender for?
I just got my new & first tattoo done 2 days ago. It's on the far right side of my lower back. It could be because of the location where i'm bending/twisting/walking, etc. but it's still reallyyy sore!! It's not swollen or anything and I have been doing my best to take care of it by washing it and putting lotion on ("after inked" lotion). It's so tender, I have a hard time putting on the moisturizer. Just want to make sure that it's okay for it to be pretty sore after a couple days.
How long will the soreness last for??
6 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoWhen does the scabbing/peeling stage of getting a tattoo start? And how long does it last?
I just got a tattoo yesterday, and it's really sore today, and was curious to know when I should expect it to start scabbing/peeling. I know you're not supposed to pick at it, but i'm worried that my pants and shirt will rub it and peel off scabs from it rubbing against my skin. It's on the far right side of my low back. Does the entire tattoo scab? Or just certain areas?
3 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoIs it normal for my tattoo to be really sore/tender the day after?
I just got a tattoo yesterday afternoon on the lower side of my back. It looks fine and everything and I put moisturizer on it, but it's really sore/tender to the touch!! Also, because of where it is, when I walk/move in a certain way it's sore too. Is this normal to be sore the day after?
