Is she flirting with me?
There's this girl who works at this coffee shop that I like. She always says "Thank You" and "Have a nice Day" to me when I buy coffee. I've followed her home several times and she doesn't seem to have a boyfriend, she sleeps alone every time I've watched her go to bed. Do you think I should knock on her door?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating10 years agoWhere should a bypass humidifier be installed?
I just purchased a Lennox HCWB2-17 and the instructions say to mount it on the supply plenum, but the link below clearly shows it on the return plenum. Before I cut any holes I figured I'd ask a bunch of strangers what they think.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy is college so expensive?
Considering they pay no taxes, most of their new buildings are paid for by grants, gifts, donations and/or state & federal funding. Professors will frequently have students teach for them. Yet they all seem to raise tuition each year higher than inflation, plus they nickle & dime the students for everything from books to printing homework while their endowment continues to grow.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWho agrees that Hollywood celebrities should be the only ones allowed to vote?
I think if only the great minds of Hollywood where left alone to choose our country's leaders, this would be a great country, one worth being proud of. After all, most Americans are too busy watching movies, sit-coms and reality TV to know any better.
Could our next president maybe mandate that only Screen Actors Guild card carriers be allowed to vote in future elections?
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs it true that Andy Dick and Sanjaya might officially endorse Obama tomorrow?
If so, would this influence your vote as it might mine?
12 AnswersElections1 decade agoWould an Obama, Pelosi, Reid triumvirate be good for the US?
If Obama wins and the Dems retain or gain more power in congress, plus the fact that most of the media is liberal, would that create a dangerously monopolistic stranglehold on our country? Or am I paranoid to think that the most liberal of Democrats might be power hungry?
18 AnswersElections1 decade agoIf Obama is elected, what kind of people will he appoint to his cabinet and other key positions?
I believe the Change we will experience will be far beyond what most people are anticipating, that is if they can pass security clearance.
7 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs this raid on the ACORN offices discriminatory or what?
They are violating the voting rights of dead people and fictional characters as well as undermining the right of people to vote more than once.
These FBI gestapo goons are out of control
Boy do we ever need change NOW!
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat are some good ways to round up clueless people and get them to vote?
Apart from driving homeless people and drug rehab patients to the polling stations, where else can we round up people and hand deliver their important votes?
13 AnswersElections1 decade agoSince we'll profit from the bailout, can banks keep making risky loans so we can do it again every few years?
Did congress address the fact that banks are mandated to make risky loans and have been encouraged to dump them on Fannie & Freddie, (Gov't/Taxpayer backed)? Or are they still blaming it on Wall Street and Bush's failed economic policies?
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy is Obama's campaign all about blame?
Is this the result of 20 years of mentoring from Reverend Wright, is it just the current Democratic platform?
Any other ideas?
19 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes America reject so many Democrat Candidates because they are so often lawyers?
Barack Obama got out of Harvard Law School, worked for a firm, offered his legal expertise as a community organizer and went into politics. Joe Biden graduated from law school and almost immediately ran for office. In the Democratic primary, winner Obama, runner-up Hillary Clinton and third-place finisher John Edwards were all lawyers. In 2004, both Democratic nominees, John Kerry and Edwards, were lawyers. Al Gore, who ran in 2000, left law school without a degree and went into politics. His running mate, Joe Lieberman, was a Yale-trained lawyer. Mike Dukakis, the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee, was a Harvard-trained lawyer and ran with lawyer Lloyd Bentsen. In fact, every Democratic presidential nominee for president and vice president in the last seven elections — except Gore who dropped out of law school to run for Congress — has been a lawyer.
The problem is that lawyers usually do not run companies, defend the country, lead people, build things, grow food or create capital.
If this year Democrats were looking for populist candidates from diverse backgrounds and training who talked and thought differently from those of the past, then why didn't they nominate someone who was not trained in writing legalese and working the government legal labyrinth?

7 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoCan we reduce gas prices by restricting and penalizing US based oil producers?
Of course most of the worlds oil is produced by other nations such as Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran and Venezuela, all which are nationalized and controlled by those countries governments. But does it help us here in the US to villianize, penalize and restrict our own businesses?

Our Unlock the Vote program enables people in custody throughout Los Angeles County to register to vote and cast their ballots from jail. This program, a first of its kind in California, has been used as a model by the ACLU’s national office for replication throughout the country. It was also recommended as model by the California Secretary of State's office for use in other counties.]
