  • Can I wear jeans to a job interview?

I have an interview to go to, and I'm not sure if I can wear jeans. They are looking for students to work for the summer, and you can wear jeans on the job (Walking door-to-door trying to sell). Is it OK to wear jeans to the interview though?

  • My laptop fan stopped working..?

Okay, so I have an HP Laptop that is about 1 year & 7 months old. The fan had always worked (VERY LOUDLY at that), and just now it isn't working. I guess I realized because my laptop is super quiet right now, whereas usually the fan was SO loud. But now I'm worried about over-heating my laptop. Is there any way that I could AT HOME make my fan work again?

Maybe it's because I dropped my laptop today.. I was on the subway coming from School.. and I was asked to move seats because the Subway guy needed to close an area of the subway. As I stood up my laptop fell out of my backpack (I have NO idea how my backpack opened by itself :S) I didn't think anything of it though, because it was in its protective cover. It's been dropped a bunch of times before too (not my fault... violent family) I am NOT wasting any money to get it repaired, as I have already had MANY problems with it that cost me lots of money. I'm buying a new laptop in April anyways, and this one will go to my mom.. so I'm just worried about it over-heating and breaking-down.

Once again my question: Is there any way that I at home can try to make the fan work?

  • Do I have narcolepsy or something?

    I'm 18 and male.

OK so I usually get at least 8 hours of sleep, which is supposed to be enough, but I wake up feeling dead tired. I hate it... I can't even eat a proper breakfast because I'm too tired.

Throughout the day, I'm usually tired, especially if there's nothing exciting happening. If I'm doing something fun I'm good. But when I'm sitting at my computer, or in class, I get so tired and need a nap.

Also, it takes me a really long time to fall asleep at night. Usually its about 1 and a half hours, and sometimes 2 hours before I fall asleep. I also wake up a bunch during the night (I enjoy it though, because it makes the night feel longer... if I sleep through the whole night, it feels like I just slept for a few minutes.)

OK, so I never really though about having a condition or something, but this week, I have had two cases of sleep paralysis... and after googling it I see that sleep paralysis is a symptom of narcolepsy.

So I'm just wondering if it's possible that I have narcolepsy, or something else.

P.s - I just remembered another thing, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it. Coffee/Tea or anything with caffeine or really sweet doesn't affect me in any way. Most people say that it wakes them up, but I feel no difference. Same goes for energy drinks. My friends say that after drinking an energy drink, "It feels like my eyes have just been opened". But I don't feel any different from before. :S

  • If f(x) = xarctanx, then f' ''(2) = ?

    If f(x) = xarctanx, then f' ''(2) = ... I know the answer is 2/25, but I need a way of doing this.

So basically, I think you need to find the second derivative of this function, and then put in 2, where x was. I do that, but I can't seem to simplify my answer to equal 2/25. Please help!

  • Message from Wikipedia..?

I received a message from Wikipedia that I have vandalized by making changes to the article "Export". The thing is, I have never been on that page, nor have I made any on Wikipedia for any article. I do not have a Wikipedia account, so this message was sent by my IP address. I have my own laptop, and no one shares my IP address, so why did wikipedia send me this message?

  • Hard Disk Test Failed?

Okay, so my laptop is 1 year and 2 months old. I woke up yesterday, and it was extremely slow to the point that I could not even access the internet, and it would freeze. I am able to use it on safe mode (that's how I am writing this now) but I can't use it normally. I performed a self hard disk test, and it failed. What am I supposed to do?

  • Otrivin nasal spray.. is it bad for me?

Okay, so I have allergies to pollen and plants.. so basically your season allergies. They are so annoying. I've been using Otrivin, also called xylometazoline hydrochloride, to de-congest my nose, and it works perfectly!!

However, my mom keeps on telling me that it's bad, and that I'll get addicted, and that I'll get cancer from using Otrivin too much..

The thing is that it offers great relief.. I've been using it for years. And NO I'm not addicted (yet).. once the allergy season ends, my nose is only stuffed a little, and I can live with that. But I continue using Otrivin, because having an unstuffed nose is Amazing!! But when the bottle ends, I stop using it for a few months, until the next allergy season starts.

So is this bad for me.. I use it 2 times every day! I have not gotten addicted to it yet, but I use it as a relief, even if I could live without it.. Ia this unhealthy?

  • This September is so cold :S?

Okay guys, I want your opinions on how this summer has been. We were told it was going to be Really hot summer.. but was it?

Where I live, May was super hot.. but then June was colder and rainier. In July and August there were a bunch of super hot heat waves, but it also rained quite a few times.. considering that this summer was supposed to be really hot and dry. Now in September.. it's colder than I ever remember. I have to wear a sweater and jeans.. it's never been like that. It's still the season of summer but it feels like autumn already.

So was the weather like this where any of you live? Was the summer actually hotter and drier than usual? Oh and btw I live in Canada.. Ontario.

  • My wisdom teeth are growing in?

Okay so I'm an 18 year old guy, and my wisdom teeth are coming out. They are sticking out already.. they first started coming out 3 months ago.. and they haven't finished. Like they are sticking out.. but not that much.. how long does it take for them to fully come out? Oh and so far.. it's only the bottom 2 that are coming out.. and I feel this itchy kind of pain on my gums in the bottom left where the tooth is coming out. Oh and also.. I won't need to get them removed right? All my friends got theirs removed while having braces.. but when I had braces, they didn't remove mine.. so I'm guessing that they'll grown in correctly..I don't have dental insurance so I can't go to the dentist :( The wisdom teeth won't ruin my straight teeth, will they?

  • Did I see a UFO or alien spaceship?

Okay so yeah I did see a UFO because it's an "unidentified flying object", but what was it.. an alien spaceship?

I went outside with my friends at night yesterday to watch the meteor shower (we didn't see much though.. just about 8 meteors in total)

Anyways we were lying on the grass looking at the sky.. there were planes everywhere, we live close to an airport.. all of a sudden we some weird thing flying in the sky..there was something strange about the way it was flying.

It was black.. it's shape was kind of oval. I mean.. what could it have been? It can't be a plane.. we saw many of those, I know how a plane looks like. The thing we saw had barely any lights at all, whereas all the planes were well lit up. It wasn't a satellite.. they look like stars that move. This was much closer to the Earth.

It was just fun to see something! I've always wanted to see something that I can't explain. This UFO was weird.. the way it was flying looked kind of effortless. And when all my friends could see it.. there was suddenly a bright meteor right beside it.. and we lost the UFO.. we couldn't see it anymore.

  • Question about Deja Vue?

I know that there are many theories about Deja Vue.. what are yours? The most recent one I heard is that when you get Deja Vues.. that means that you are in your second life.. or further. Those that do not get Deja Vue are only in their first life. I don't really believe this, but it sounds interesting.

Also,, I have NEVER had Deja Vue at all.. why is that?

  • number 13.. is it unlucky?

I just want your opinions about the number 13.. Personally, I treat it as a normal number. I don't believe it as being unlucky. However, back in March, the townhouse with unit# 13 burned down in my neighbourhood. I find that to be a funny coincidence.,?

  • Question about cold sores!!!?

Okay, so I've been told that if you get cold sores, it means that you have type 1 Herpes.. which is very common. I still don't know if I should believe that or not.

Anyways, I USED TO get cold sores like twice a year, since I was 12. But then in 2008.. I was 15 and by April I already had two cold sores that year.. at after April, I had NEVER had another old sore.

That's two years since I had no cold sore.. it can't be herpes? Since with herpes cold sores come on a regular basis right?

  • My friend.. is he bi or straight?

I'm a straight guy, and I have a friend who has this problem. He says that he is attracted to guys ONLY physically, and that he is attracted to girls ONLY romantically. He says he could never love a guy, or date a guy, or have sex with a guy, but that attraction still exists. What does that make him? He says to me that he wants a wife and kids, and is currently in love with a girl, but he doesn't see her in any sexual ways?

I'm just curious, it isn't really my business, but he told me all this ahaha.
