Ok I'm working on a 3d project and I want to design a set of planetary gears the only restrictions being, that I want each planet to rotate about its own axis 12 times in the time it takes it to complete one orbit around the sun. Everything else may vary. I've done my research and I can't seem to come of with an equation to calculate this. I would much appreciate any information that may point me in the right direction.

I just watched the Guild Wars 2 manifesto and was very impressed. (Link here: http://www.guildwars2.com/en/media/videos/) I wanted to know when it would be released so I found the FAQ which Simply says "When it's done." Does anyone know of a general date like 2011 or Spring or Februrary or something?

I once heard that the punishment for some crime was for the victim to stand on the roof of the criminal's house and throw a blade (a sicle I think) and where it landed indicated how much land the victem would recive or where the propery line would be drawn.

Can anyone tell me if they know of any fact behind this?

So I have played around with Linux before I installed ubuntu on a previously broken machine and it run fine now. I was considering installing some flavor of Linux on my laptop as a dual boot with windows 7. the problem is i am not sure if it is worth it. After doing a fresh install of windows to get rid of all the bloat-ware I am fairly happy with it. And I have heard that installing Linux on a laptop can be trickier than a desktop. Is there anything more that I am unaware of that Linux can offer me?

Ok So I have this assignment that will go through the course year. Basically I was given a kind of web page with some editing tools that allows things like creating/ deleting pages, uploading pictures and video, and of course text. I found a nifty little section that allows you to upload HTML code. Now it dies not allow live action stuff so i can't do anything really nifty but things like <blink> will work. From the looks of things I can upload pictures over the default sidebars therefore covering it up. so I would like to know if you guys have any nifty ideas for things to add that would not be possible normally? Also I have a family web page that is currently not doing a whole lot could I toss in an automatic redirect and have truly free reign? Thanks in advance for any help.

My question has part to do with duplicating PS2 backup disks that can be played on an unhacked play station. I would like to know why a this is. I know that it has to do with security measures taken by sony. By placing a specific file in a specific place or by making one section contain an exact number of bits the play station can detect whether or not the disk is genuine. I also know that when you rip a disk files get moved around and so the security key is broken. I want to know why you can't make a program that rips point for point from a disk and then writes it point for point on another. Thanks for any help.

Just an idle thought but would it be possible to take apart a microwave and turn down the power but focus the wave in a more narrow field to create a cone. Could you create a pointable wifi jammer. This is all very subjective ignoring all health effect on possible humans, and the possibility of melting various objects.

I want to put a Radeon HD 4850 1GB in my machine. But problem It uses a PCIe 2.0 connection I only have 1.0. I know that these the 1.0s transmit half as much data as the 2.0s but I could use this card anyway. I was tiring to understand if the card would ever be bottle necked by the 1.0 slot and if so by how much.

Ok so I recently forayed into the wonderful world of Linux by making a live cd and installing it on an old computer (not dual booting). I installed it few problems (well actually lots of problems but that was due to a dead hard drive). After I installed and booted up from the (good) hard drive everything ran great. The only weird thing I noticed was that the graphics on the live cd were better than on the hard drive. The menus were small and everything looked a bit sharper. I would like to know why this is and if possible how to change it back.Thank you I love Ubuntu it boots up faster than my newer pc. ^^

So I was in a study hall (a school period in which you must sit in a class room and be silent and work on homework/read/sleep) that happened to be in an English class I was bored so I grabbed the text book under my chair. It contained a few short stories, one of them that I read was amazing. I have been trying to find the title of it for a while now. School is out so I can't go back maybe you can help me.

The story started with a man working on a business proposal for the grocery store which he works at. His wife (girlfriend?) says she will meet him at the restaurant or play and he will be along soon. She leaves and he gets ready to go when a gust of wind blows the paper out the window, which is very high up. He looks out and the paper is on the ledge near his window he climbs out to try to grab it. At this point the story becomes the most enthralling thing I have ever read the description of this mans struggle is flawless my heart was beating very fast as I read it. My summery can do it no justice but suffice to say he eventually reclaims his paper and gets back inside his apartment. If anyone finds it I strongly advise that you read it as it is a excellent story. Any help is appreciated.

OK I'm looking for a poem and I can't remember the name or author but the whole thing is a set of instructions. It first describes an old house which you walk through caring for any creature that asks for it. You then come to a gate where the narrator tells you that you may turn back at without losing any face. At this point my memory fades but I believe that you go through some epic adventure eventually coming back to the gate and then going through the house. Any help would be much appreciated.

So I am looking for a few songs on the guitar (Classical/Acustic). I would like to try a flamenco style piece, similar to Rodrigo y Gabriela's Diablo Rojo. Sheet music would be prefered but if you can just post some cool flamenco solo pices that would be awesome. Thanks!

Ok so I have a problem I am using Illustrator at school and I want to use the share my screen but it wont work. I bring up the panel and it says "You do not have internet enabled" So I go to Windows>Extensions>Connections and it says that I don't have my software activated!

But it really is I even have the option to deactivate it! What gives?

OK so I want to put up a large mural in my room, or more specifically, on my ceiling. I was planning on using a service like http://www.blockposters.com/ So what I would like are some pictures that I could put on my ceiling that create a kind of illusion like this http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncategor... though perhaps not as morbid. Just something where the ceiling appears to continue on forming an optical illusion. Any help would be great.
