Is Eddie Murphy finished as a movie star?
5 AnswersMovies5 years agoWhy are Doorman jobs in New York so hard to get into?
Despite the many buildings in New York City that have Doormen, why are these jobs so difficult to get? I've asked several of them how to get a position like theirs, but they never give me a straight direct answer. They usually respond as if they think they will lose their job if they tell me exactly how to get one like theirs. The most I keep hearing is that you have to already know someone who is doing that type of work.
2 AnswersNew York City7 years agoIs Chivalry dead? Who killed it?
Is Chivalry dead? If so, who killed it? These days in America it seems like it no longer exists, especailly in a big crazy place like New York City. Unlike most Black men these days, I wear nice suits & ties everyday. Everywhere I go, I notice that women spend more time walking around acting all scared and prejudiced, and clutching their purse shoulder straps for absolutely NO REASON AT ALL. I've held open plenty of doors for them, but instead of having the common sense to say THANK YOU, all they do is just look at me as if they think they're going to be robbed, then they just duck their heads down, clutch their bags, and just dash by. Funny how this NEVER HAPPENS when women see a White man in a suit & tie. They just look at him as if they're glad to see him, and often just say THANK YOU, or even strike up a conversation with him. I'm 44 so I witness quite a lot of this blatant unfairness everyday. DOES IT EVEN PAY TO BE A GENTLEMAN??? If so, all this idiotic gender racism that women commit everyday sure makes it nearly seem impossible to be one. In case no one is smart enough to know this,, here's a wake up call..THIS IS NOT JIM CROW'S ERA,,,THIS IS 2014,,,,NOT 1614. If women are so much smarter than men, why are they always walking around acting scared and prejudice for NO REASON AT ALL?? WHAT MAKES THEM THINK ANYONE WANTS WHAT THEY HAVE??? I'm a slim 5-foot-7 and weigh just 140 pounds. I see plenty of dudes way bigger than me everyday. I don't walk around acting scared.
8 AnswersGender Studies7 years agoWhy does Donald Trump only wear dark suits all the time?
Is there a rule or law in America that says rich and wealthy people must ALWAYS wear suits that are dark? If not, why does Donald Trump always wear suits that are either dark navy blue or black? He never wears beige, brown, green, light gray, tan, or burgundy suits. Being that he's a billionaire, I thought he'd have a lot more variety in his choice of style than just dark suits. And you never see him in public without his suit jacket on, unless he is dressed in his casual golf course gear. Secret Service agents are the same way. They always wear dark suits, and your never see them without their suit jackets on. Everyone already knows they're armed, but you never see where their guns are when they wear their suit jackets and overcoats open even on very cold windy days.

Not trying to be gross or humorous, but in men, why can't that always unbelievable sensation just before and during an orgasm or ejaculation last much longer than it does?
3 AnswersMen's Health8 years agoCan the Statue Of Liberty ever be restored back to her original color?
Most people think the Statue Of Liberty was made with the current light green color that covers much of its outer surface, but I heard that the green color only came from corrosion that built up on it over hundreds of years. Though this would not be a very easy or quick task, would it be possible to restore the Statue back to its original color? Or is the metal much too thin to withstand that type of cleaning?

5 AnswersOther - Health8 years agoHow long did it take Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel?
How long did it take Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel? Of all the brilliant works of art from that time period, I'm guessing that this must have been one of the most difficult things to do considering where the art is located. Are there any archives somewhere that contain footage of exactly how Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel, and what he had to go through in order to do this work?
3 AnswersPainting8 years agoCan a person ever really be too rich?
In terms of wealth or financial status, being that there are no multitrillionaires in America, can a person ever really be too rich? As someone who has never actually been rich, but is trying to get there, I really don't see how having more money than you know what to do with can be a problem at all, especially when most people in America and in other countries want to be fabulously rich or wealthy. Even the people who already are very rich want to keep making more and more money, despite having millions or billions of dollars. Billionaires such Donald Trump, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates and Oprah obviously earn money faster than they could possibly spend any of it. If this is considered a real problem that rich people face in any way, I think it's ONE problem I would LOVE to have.
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agoIf comedians direct their own movie and star in it, shouldn't it be a lot funnier?
In 1989 Eddie Murphy wrote, produced, directed and starred in the movie "Harlem Nights" alongside his idols Richard Pryor and Reed Foxx, and surprisingly it was said that film critics hated the movie, and that it didn't do too well in the theaters. If someone is a very funny comedian and they direct and star in the movie along with other comedians, would'nt that make a comedy movie a lot funnier? Being that Eddie Murphy knows what it takes to make a comedy film funny much more than his critics, (who just sit there watching the finished product after it was all edited) I'm surprised he hasn't bothered to direct all of his movies from 1989 all the way up to today. Same thing goes for Chris Rock, who has also directed movies he starred in.
2 AnswersMovies8 years agoIs playing multiple characters in one movie becoming a dying art form?
Is it becoming a dying form of art for talented people to play multiple characters in the same movie? Years and years ago this seemed to be one of the most exciting things for actors to do in their movies, but these days there don't seem to be many people left willing to keep the art alive. Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Arsenio Hall, Tyler Perry, Robin Williams, Martin Lawrence, Lily Tomlin, Jackie Gleason, Frank Morgan, Redd Foxx and most recently, even Halle Berry have done work playing more than one character in the same project.
2 AnswersMovies8 years agoShould Macy Gray try changing her voice?
Macy Gray seems to be a singer that most people don't quite know what to make of because of the way she sounds when she sings. She's an attractive grown woman who sounds a lot like a 6-year-old young kid. Isn't there anything she can do to change her singing voice, to at least make it sound more mature and less child-like? Mary J.Blige changed her voice years ago and today sounds far better and different than she did on her first album.
4 AnswersSinging8 years agoWhy hasn't Dana Carvey done more movies?
Dana Carvey actually did a movie years ago where he actually plays 16 roles. Not even Eddie Murphy or Tyler Perry have done this despite their talents for playing multiple roles in their films. Why hasn't Dana Carvey done more movies that will showcase his range of talents?

1 AnswerMovies8 years agoWhat ever happened to actors Nancy & Phillip McKeon?
What ever happened to 1980's sitcom actors Nancy McKeon, who played Jo on "The Facts Of Life", and her brother Phillip McKeon, who played Tommy on "Alice"? It seems like all the people I enjoyed watching on tv, who seemed to have hot careers back in the late 1970's and 1980's are no longer heard from or even talked about these days.
1 AnswerCelebrities8 years agoWhy are Doorman or Concierge jobs so difficult to get into?
I've often heard that people who have jobs as a Doorman or Concierge usually get that job in their 20s, or 30s, and just stay with it until they are well into their 60's, 70s, or past whatever the current retirement age is supposed to be for anyone employed anywhere. For anyone to stay with a job that long, obviously it must pay quite well and have very good benefits. Why is it that Doorman or Concierge jobs are so difficult to get into, or apply for, especially in New York City? I even tried asking one of Donald Trump's doorman at Trump Tower how to get a job as a Doorman, but instead of a direct answer, he mostly gave me a run-around story saying, "Oh you have to go to this place, and then go to that place, and then see these people". The main thing people also say a lot is that you have to already know people who do that type of work.
1 AnswerGovernment & Non-Profit8 years agoWhat is the best thing to invest in to become a billionaire?
I read that some of the world's richest and wealthiest people made most of their money from investments, but it never says exactly what they invested in to become so rich, or how many years it took for them to become wealthy billionaires. New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg is now worth $25 billion and is in his mid 60's. Whatever he or his company did to earn him the kind of money he has, I'm guessing he started doing this when he was a very young adult. I just turned 43 and would love to be fabulously rich, but I don't want to wait 40 or 50 years for it to happen. What would be the best things to invest in to become a millionaire or billionaire?
