10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy do Latter-day Saints believe that Satan and Christ are brothers? do you agree that LDS believe the following?
Why do Latter-day Saints believe that Satan and Christ are brothers?
1. Satan is not Jesus Christ’s flesh and blood brother; he is no one’s brother after the flesh.
2. All the hosts of heaven are the spirit children of God, and therefore siblings to each other. (Heb. 12:9).
3. YHWH was Lucifer’s spirit brother in heaven, both are our spirit brothers.
a. Satan was not created. None of us were.
b. We began as undefined “intelligences,” and became the spirit children of God; we are not told how.
c. We progressed as far as we could as spirit beings.
d. God provided the world so we might progress further.
e. All who are born on earth sided with YHWH in heaven before the earth was formed.
f. We are spirit beings having a mortal experience.
g. Satan is denied the privilege of being born, because he rebelled against God; he will never be clothed with flesh, nor will those who followed him, during his rebellion.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoThe Latter-day Saints view of Christ; Is it truly different person, or a matter of perspective?
What Latter-day Saints actually believe about Jesus Christ:
• He was Jehovah of the Old Testament, The Creator, and the Holy One of Israel.
• He was the Word of God, made flesh (John 1:1-3, 14).
• God, YHWH, Himself, should come and take upon him the form of man; He shall bring to pass the resurrection of the dead (Mosiah13:34-35).
• He was sired by His Heavenly Father and the Virgin Mary. (Luke 1:35)
• He was born of Mary, in Bethlehem, in the land of Jerusalem (Matt. 2:1, Luke 2:4-7; Alma 10:11).
• He taught at the temple when he was 12. (Luke 2:42-51).
• He began his ministry as described in Matt., Mark, Luke, and John.
• He was in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and an angel strengthened him. He paid the price for sin in that Garden (Matt. 26:36-46, Luke 22:39-46).
• He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot for 30 pieces of silver. (Matt 26:47-50, Matt 27:3-11; Mark 14:10)
• He was unfairly tried and convicted. (Matt. 27:11-28, Mark 15:1-20
• He was crucified, he died, and was laid in a sepulcher (Matt 27:35-28:8)
• After 3 days he arose from the dead
• He was seen of his apostles
• After 40 days he arose physically to heaven.
• There is Salvation in no other name; only through Christ can mankind be saved. (Acts 4:12; 1 Nephi 10:6; 2 Nephi 2:6-7, 25:20).
• We are saved by the God’s Grace and mercy, no matter what we do. We cannot save ourselves.

12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDo you agree with these beatitudes?
"Blessed are ye if ye shall give heed unto the words of these twelve whom I have chosen from among you to minister unto you, and to be your servants; and unto them I have given power that they may baptize you with water; and after that ye are baptized with water, behold, I will baptize you with fire and with the Holy Ghost; therefore blessed are ye if ye shall believe in me and be baptized, after that ye have seen me and know that I am.
And again, more blessed are they who shall believe in your words because that ye shall testify that ye have seen me, and that ye know that I am. Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins.
Yea, blessed are the poor in spirit who come unto me, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
And again, blessed are all they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.
And blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
And blessed are all they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDoes this contradict the Bible in any way?
And now, my son, I have somewhat to say concerning the restoration of which has been spoken; for behold, some have wrested the scriptures, and have gone far astray because of this thing. And I perceive that thy mind has been worried also concerning this thing. But behold, I will explain it unto thee.
2 I say unto thee, my son, that the plan of restoration is requisite with the justice of God; for it is requisite that all things should be restored to their proper order. Behold, it is requisite and just, according to the power and resurrection of Christ, that the soul of man should be restored to its body, and that every part of the body should be restored to itself.
3 And it is requisite with the justice of God that men should be judged according to their works; and if their works were good in this life, and the desires of their hearts were good, that they should also, at the last day, be restored unto that which is good.
4 And if their works are evil they shall be restored unto them for evil. Therefore, all things shall be restored to their proper order, every thing to its natural frame—mortality raised to immortality, corruption to incorruption—raised to endless happiness to inherit the kingdom of God, or to endless misery to inherit the kingdom of the devil, the one on one hand, the other on the other—
5 The one raised to happiness according to his desires of happiness, or good according to his desires of good; and the other to evil according to his desires of evil
