  • Scabies, Benzyl benzeoate treatment question?

Hi Everyone, As i write this i'm absolutely mortified! I'm a 30 year old single male who has recently discovered i have contracted Scabies, I suspect i may have picked them up from a hotel bed i stayed in about 8 weeks ago, I showed no symptoms up until 2 weeks ago when a slight itch gradually became worse and i went to the doctor yesterday who confirmed it was and that unfortunately in a very short amount of time it's spread all over my body., So after a few embarrassing phone calls to friends i had stayed with out of town (One who has since discovered on a skin test she also has it) off i rush to the pharmacy and he has put me on Benzyl Benzeote. I had my father paint it on literally all over my body (Except the face) as directed and 24 hours later i'm still feeling really itchy , Is this normal? I understand i have to reapply it again in another week to kill any more eggs/mites but i'm just so frustrated right now not to mention embarrassed! I've always felt my personal hygeine was excellent and yet it's amazing how one small thing/bug can turn your life upside down!

Also how do people deal with the scarring? as i'm guessing the rash will take a while to settle down even once all the mites are dead?

    Cheers!

  • Ridge appearing in bottom right molar?

So I had a temporary filling put in 2 years ago as the dentist couldn't work out at the time if I needed a root canal and wanted to See how it went, last checkup 6 months ago he said it was fine however now I notice a sensitive type throb coming from it maybe once or twice a day bit other than that no pain and if I run my finger over it , it kind of feels like it's becoming hollow and a hole is forming but to look at the tooth it still looks relatively normal in the mirror, I'm going to call the dentist office tomorrow and make an appointment but would this be the filling wearing off?

  • How to deal with a woman that seems to enjoy being miserable ?

I work with her and am the only male in the team, I get along great with all the other girls but she's late 40s rude, mean, a complete control freak, snaps and snarls at all of us if we dare question her and almost seems to enjoy her unhappiness, the other girls hate her too bit she sucks up to the bosses and they don't see the problem with her, what are some good strategies to deflate this situation?

  • Should Biological parents have a say in where their child is placed?

I'm curious to see the consensus and general feeling on this, I know this question may not make me popular but from my point of view i'm seeing a lot of people saying "Adoptive parents shouldnt change my name" "Have a right to know where my child is placed" etc whereas i feel that once you sign the adoption papers you've relinquished all rights, As an adoptee it kind of annoys me in a way that birthparents feel they can dictate "The adopted family has to be catholic" "be of this nationality etc when why should it matter to them if theyre giving the child up and potentially never seeing it again? And to me renaming a child is like a rebirth and giving them a fresh new life, Am i alone in thinking this?

  • Do i need to apply for a multi entry visa for Canada?

Hi guys, I'm an Australian resident and passport holder and I've been to Canada 3 times and am in the early stages of planning another trip to Canada

A couple of Canadian friends and i are planning on going to the Carribbean, That means i would be flying into Toronto on a non stop flight from Hong Kong spending approx 5 days for me to rest up, We would then be heading down to Aruba/Curacao for 2 weeks and i would then fly back into Canada and stay for approx another 5 days before beginning the LONG flight home to melbourne!

So my question is will a normal tourist visa entitle me to leave Canada and re-enter within the 3 month period issued on those visas, Or should i apply for a multi entry visa?

Any info would be appreciated! Cheers!

  • Did anyone see the crop like circle around the moon?

Ok, I live in melbourne Australia and last night happened to glance at the moon, apart from noticing a very bright Jupiter i also noticed a literally perfect circle around the moon, It literally looked like someone had grabbed a pen and drawn a perfect circle around it, Has anyone else in any other part of the world noticed it?

  • My plane crash/Train Station dream?

Hi guys, had a really weird dream last night, I was standing by the side of a busy road opposite a train station near where i live talking to my sister and she had a few people with her, Anyway a Qantas Plane flew over us then literally flipped over into an upside down position and crashed into the train station, My sister screamed "Oh my god we have to help those poor people!" and she and her friends took off across the road,

However whenever i tried to cross the road to help a whole heap of cars/obstacles would appear and i could never make it to the other side....

What does this mean? I'm actually travelling overseas next week (Not on Qantas fortunately) and now i'm a little nervous.... (And i'm not usually a nervous flyer but this dream has shaken me up a little as it was so real and vivid!)

  • Tipping in hotels in Canada, What sections should i tip?

I've been to North America a few times and thought i had this tipping thing mastered (Tipping is not normal practice here in Australia) and always make sure i leave a tip for housekeeping etc, But now i'm told it's standard to also tip concierges as well, I feel really bad as i've met some great people and they must of thought i was so rude!

What about the front desk? Should i also tip them?

    Cheers, Cam

  • Does anyone else find google street view a bit intrusive?

Now that Australia, United States, and France (I believe) are on street view i'm just wondering how other people feel about them capturing our homes images without permission? Also is anyone else concerned that should you have anything valuable criminals could scour street view, see a house and think "Ooh thats a nice car i'll have that" or stake your house out to work out the best way to break in? Whilst i do find it fascinating to be able to type in any address in the above countries and get a full view of the street i just think it's a bit risky.... How do others feel?
