  • Men: Do you prefer a stay at home mom or working mom?

So I know this is always split down the middle. If a stay at home or working mom is better. Some men feel like women should stay at home and the working ones are "masculine feminist" while some feel the stay at home moms are lazy, dependent adults who have to ask they're spouse for every dime they get. What are your thoughts?

  • My teacher gave us this scenario in my law class?

One summer afternoon Laurie was visiting a local park with her two small children when a uniformed police officer approached her. The officer introduced himself and then explained to Laurie that he suspected her husband, Trevor, of being involved in illegal pornography. ‘He told her to look around when she got home. And if she finds something bring it to him. He tells her, ‘‘if you find something and you don’t bring it to me, well then if your husband gets caught and you knew about it and didn’t do anything. . . .’’ Officer Thomas’ voice trailed off without finishing his sentence.

That night while Trevor was working late, Laurie entered Trevor’s walk-in closet and at first she began by just casually looking around. But before she knew it she had ransacked the entire closet. While doing so she found a box, about the size of a telephone book, which had been hidden underneath a pile of Trevor’s sweaters on the top shelf of his closet. The box was marked ‘‘PRIVATE’’ in bold lettering and it was locked. It took her no time at all to locate the key in Trevor’s sock drawer. She opened the box and found hundreds of pictures of minors engaged in explicit sexual acts.

Devastated, Laurie took the box and its contents to the police station. She found Officer Thomas. Handing him the box, she sadly said, ‘‘Here you go, you were right.’’ Trevor was thereafter arrested for child pornography and other related offenses.

  • Don't understand romantic relationships?

I don't understand romantic relationships. You guys may believe I'm being biased because I've never had a crush on anyone and never had a boyfriend. (I'm straight/heterosexual) But anyways, I'll explain from my viewpoint: When I say I don't understand romance, I'm not just saying that to try and sound "cool." I literally mean psychologically I can't understand romantic relationships. I don't understand why romance is over other relationships (family, friends, etc...) This whole perception of your romantic partner being your soulmate and your number one priority is only effective when you're in a relationship with that person. The minute you and that person break up/divorce, you hate them. Marriage as well...Just because you're married your spouse is your number one priority? If you and that person divorce, you're fighting for custody over the kids, the house, the cars and some cases like on Snapped and Fatal Attraction your same "soulmate" ends up dead! Yet when you were married that was your life and air. I feel like family and friends are more important. Not to say family and friends don't do the same, but I feel like romantic relationships are a very sad thing to prioritize as #1, because when they end, the hatred is so strong you wouldn't give a quater too to that person if they were homeless and you wouldn't even spit on them if they were on fire. So how are a romantic relationship the most important, when the minute you guys are done their magically non-existent?

  • How do people get books turned into TV shows?

Well I was wondering because I was really interested in pitching a TV show idea; but I'm not a screenwriter or TV writer. I'm a literary author. So I know nothing about writing scripts and things like that. Now of course I can learn, but there are books that were turned into TV shows.

Queen Of The South - Channel USA

    13 Reasons Why - Netflix

Stephen King books as well...can you pitch a book?

  • How much does a cartel drug mule make?

No I am not thinking about being a drug mule. I'm writing a story and I want it to make sense. I don't just want to make up any number and put it there. So I want to know how much does a drug mule who works for a cartel make. Like for example, I know people who transport drugs on foot for a drug dealer get $5,000 dollars. But what about when you transport a massive amount of drugs for a cartel? Is it the same $5,000 like delivering on foot for a regular drug dealer? Or do you get much more money?

  • Smart time to produce TV show idea?

So I am an eighteen year old freshmen in college, I literally just started this August. I had this TV show idea I wanted to pitch and hypothetically speaking, if this show catches the attention of some execs or gets picked up, would being in college affect this whole thing? For example, because producers would feel as if their doing you the favor by giving you the time of day, won't you have to be ready on their time at all times, whether you have important test or can't miss a certain amount of days at school and things like that? Wouldn't it be a little chaotic trying to get in touch with them because their busy or they tried to get in touch with you but you were busy with school work and couldn't answer a call right away or things like that? I was wondering if most people who pitch ideas are not in school or don't have work, so therefore are not that busy and are available most times. Or do directors work with you and make sure to set up meetings when both parties are clear and things of this nature. I guess I just want to know if it's an "I help you, help me" thing or an "I'm the big Hollywood producer so what I say goes or you can be replaced."

  • Disney Channel shows too much for kids?!?!?

Today Disney channel shows to me are getting more and more "extra" or edgy for television. By that I mean shows where the kids are dating each other and have boyfriends and girlfriends. I say that because these kids on Disney barely look twelve. Shows from the 90's like Saved By The Bell and even later shows like iCarly and Victorious were fine, but notice those kids were and looked much older. Now in Disney channel shows like 'Game Shakers' and 'Henry Danger' the kids barely look twelve and are flirting, making out and are in relationships. (I know some of the kids are older in real life than what they may appear on TV, but they are casted and played as a younger character because it can be pulled off.) I asked this question because my daughter is eight and is at that age to watch these type of shows but with all the kissing and the "boyfriend, girlfriend" thing every second I don't know.

  • When a character's name changes in a book, do you use that new name in the story when referring to them or use the name people are use to?

So there's this really loud, outgoing wild character in a story I have. Her real government name is Caramel. She's a professional at bank heist. So at the end she does her biggest bank heist and gets away with half a million. Now in book two federal agents are after her and she sort of changes up her look and instead of going by Caramel which is her real name, she decides to go by her middle name, Elizabeth. The story is in third person but the problem is now that her name is different how to incorporate that. Do I only use Elizabeth when people are speaking to her or do I use it as the narrator as well.

Ex: Caramel pulled her black sunglasses down to smile at the receptionist.

"Hi Elizabeth, how are you today?"

    Or

Elizabeth pulled her black sunglasses down to smile at the receptionist.

"Hi Elizabeth, how are you today?"

See the first one is the original name people know her as but in quotations we use to new name; or do you incorporate that new name in the second one even though people are use to the first name?

  • Can't delete comments on any of my books on Wattpad?!?!?

I have a Wattpad account and I have about three popular stories. To be honest people love commenting a lot on one chapter but I don't like it. This one girl left ten comments on a chapter before she even got to page 2 of the book. I tried to delete some of them and it just reappeared. I've tried it on my other stories thinking it was just that one and the same thing happened. I've tried different browsers like Google chrome, FireFox and stuff, emailed Wattpad and all they said was they'll "investigate" and even tried it on my different devices, iPad, cellphone, laptop and still the comments I delete come back. I've even cleared my history, cookies/cache like I've been told too and same thing. This is now the second night this has been happening. Is it my account itself or give it a few days/week or so and it will go away? I've tried everything. Please help!!

  • How to write an emotional/passionate scene involving a stoic character?

I want to write an emotional scene and then a passionate sex scene after, but the male character is always emotionless, rude, arrogant, laid, back, he never gets angry, he's calm at all times and very carefree. How to write this emotional, passionate scene without ruining his personality and making it too soppy?

  • I'm writing a story about female gangster's/gangsta's but I have major writer's block!?!?

Okay, so I want to write a story about three (3) female "thugs" or "goons", no they aren't part of a mafia or anything. ? I don't know, that's the problem. The story revolves around three women who will be the main characters but here are a list of my problems.

•I don't know if it should be written in 1st or 3rd persons perspective.

•Should the girls already know each other, or have them meet?

•Should there be gangs or they work alone?

•I don't know how to start this story...It's been in my head and in my ipod notes for months but I just can't get any scenario's right.

Please, any suggestions would be highly appreciated!!

  • Help about my story topic!?!?

Okay, so I have this story idea in my head where this girl is the pastor's daughter but she isn't as holy as everyone thinks. The problem is I have read stories like that already and I don't want to copy anyone's ideas.

The reason for that is because even if the story does become popular, you know that wasn't YOUR creation so it's basically like your getting credit for someone else's work. The problem is I really want to write about this topic! :(

Any advice on what to do? I

  • Help with story plot!?

Okay, I'm writing a story about 3 teen runaways but I need help with starting it. The plan is the first chapter they run away together but how will they interact with each other? What I mean is their practically strangers to the other so it wouldn't be realistic for them to just act like best friends when they meet. They've talked online  but in person there shy around the other because they don't know each other. So how can the story go if there gonna be shy for probably the 1st-4th chapter around each other. And idea's on where they'll run to? Remember their teenagers from ages 15-16 so where can they go? Help!?!?!

  • Help with the prologue of my story?

What do you guys think of this first part?

    Prologue:

“Are you ready?” I asked with a shaky voice. She stared into the mirror at herself, at the ugly beauty she was. I looked into the mirror at myself too and saw another ugly beauty. How ugly we truly were.

“Hey,” I nudged her, tired of looking at the two of us.

“You ready?” I ask again wiping away any tears that might fall. “Yeah, whatever.” She mumbles and walks out of the bathroom. I roll my eyes and follow behind her. “Maddie,” I say, but she keeps walking until I grab her hand.

“What’s wrong with you?” I ask her in a annoyed voice, she looks at me like I’m insane. “What’s wrong with me?! This whole thing is sick and you know it!”

I don’t say anything and let her rant on.

“Look at us! Look at what we’re doing, to us, to others! You think this is normal--,” She stopped talking when she realized the bored expression I was giving her, and to get my attention, to really get my attention. I knew she would do it, she brought 'it' up.

“You think he deserved that?” When she said it, it irritated me to no return, “Seriously, stop it. Don’t bring that up, that’s the past, what’s done is done and we can’t stop it, okay?” I said irritatedly.

“Yeah, I know…” She whispered, shaking her head at me and she turned to walk out, and me right behind her so we could fulfill the world with the ugliness of our beauty.

What do you think? Was it good or did it suck?

  • I think my mom is having an affair with someone at her job?!?

She was in her room talking to her friend on her cellphone and it was kind of hard to hear what she was saying because in the living room my brother was playing a game and the volume was extremely loud, but I decided to just listen to see what I could hear anyway and she was telling her friend that he had pulled her out of a meeting but I didn't hear what she said after that because whatever my brother was playing he started shooting guns, but I heard her laugh, then she said her heart was pounding and he she said omg you can't do that, and he said "you could fondle me in the next life but I'm gonna fondle you right now." I was like what the hell? But I walked away from her room door after that. What should I do??
