We are taking a trip and want to enable two kids to listen to music/movies on a macbook pro. Is this possible? What kind of earphones and/or splitters are available?

I am concerned about the multitude of convicted sexual offenders in our neighborhoods and after watching Dateline realize how frequently they continue their behavior.

I just switched to a MacBook Pro and transferred an excel book on which I record bills. I am unable to type in the money amounts-it shows up with a series of pound (####) signs instead. I can record the $$ amount on my old PC without any problems. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

I purchased an older (1950's) home that had been remodeled.

It does not have carpet-all hardwood and tile. There seems to be an odor at times-like garbage almost-but I cannot find the source. My dog sniffs the walls sometimes like he smells it too. I have tried all types of deoderizers, which only provide temporary relief. I have a dehumidifier in the basement to prevent mold/mildew and other damp smells. Anyone have any suggestions?

but received a message stating "your operating system does not support on-access scanning of opened files...". The web site states states that it supports Windows XP Pro, which is the system I have on the PC. So, did I do something by adding FireFox?
