So, just a little ago I was chilling when all of a sudden I get a text from my mom who was right next to me. Problem is she never texted me and someone was texting me as her. I'm a bit scared now. Ok, this is the 4th time I have asked this with no answers I need help with my After Effects CS6 programm(Adobe), and I have a problem everytime I import a .mpeg file After Effects tells me that the file is 'damaged or corrupted' which isnt the case because when I play the video it works fine, and the only thing I can get to import is .mov and pictures. Please help someone!!

I NEED HELP WITH MY AFTER EFFECTS PROGRAM, MY CAMERA SHOOTS IN .MPEG AND EVERYTIME I IMPORTED IT BEFORE IT WORKED FINE. HOWEVER 3 DAYS AGO IT STARTED TELLING ME THAT THE FILE WAS DAMAGED OR CORRUPTED, BUT WHEN I PLAY IT SEPARATELY IT WORKS FINE. ALSO THE ONLY THING THAT DOES IMPORT ARE .MOV FILES

I keep trying to import an .mpeg file on Adobe After Effects but everytime I do it says file corrupted or damaged I play the video separately and it plays fine I never had an problem until 3 days ago. Also only videos that do work are .mov files.
