  • I need the website for Crossroads Project - math resources?

I am looking for the website for Crossroads Project . This is a website full of math lesson plans and resources for elementary teachers. I have googled it and went through the first 15 pages -most of which were religious sites or names of schools. I would appreciate your help.

  • Are there any baby memory books available for single mothers?

I am looking for a baby girl memory book for a single mother. All the ones I have looked at talks about the dad; or how mom and dad felt during the pregnancy. I would like a generic type book in which you only record information.

  • Is Yahoo having trouble filtering spam email?

Since about the first of the year, I have noticed an increase number of spam in my inbox - alot are of the "notification you have won the lottery" type spam. I have used up my 500 blocked addresses. I report them as spam to Yahoo, but I am now receiving about 10-15 spam in my inbox daily. They are not the type where you can unsubscribe. I have erased 100 of my blocked addresses so that I can block more, but I have a feeling this really isn't going to help. I have had a Yahoo email account for over 8 years and this is the first time that I feel their spam filter is failing. Any suggestions?

  • Are you a school district where the children have recess directly before lunch?

We have been "told" that our school (K-5 grades) will be implementing a new lunch/recess schedule next year. This is coming from our Health Dept. through our Wellness grant right to our superintendent. In all the years I have taught (32), the children eat lunch and go directly outside for recess. Next year we will have to switch that schedule - now they will go out to recess and come directly in to eat lunch. We were given alot of "literature" to read about it but I would like to hear directly from some school systems and/or parents. What advantages do you see from this schedule? Disadvantages? How did you set up your lunch schedule? We have 18 classes with one cafeteria suitable for holding 6 classes but that's really too many. Hoping to hear from schools in various parts of the country! I am also on the committee to set this up, so looking for suggestions. Thank you!

  • Why do I get this message when I am rating answers?

I am in Level 4 on Yahoo Answers. Lately when I am rating answers, I sometimes get the message in red: "Sorry, we couldn't save your rating. Please try again later." This just happened again today. I had rated 3 answers to the same question without a problem and then got this message on the 4th answer. I continued and could rate the rest of the answers. Sometimes the message also says: "Your time has expired. Try signing in again." I am signed in so that is not the problem. Any one else getting these messages? They will appear under the thumbs up, thumbs down pictures.

  • I would especially like to hear from K teachers. Is your school system using Everyday Math?

Our school system will be adopting a new math series for next year. One of the series we are investigating is Everyday Math. I would like to know your opinion of this series from a teacher's standpoint and also from a parent's standpoint. What are the positive traits of this series as compared to what you were using previously? What are the downfalls?

I would especially like to hear from kindergarten teachers as that is the grade I have been teaching for 26 years. The math series we are currently using is Saxon. Any opinions of Everyday Math will be greatly appreciated.

  • What is the average cost for manual labor?

My son-in-law is thinking of working for himself instead of a construction company. What would be the average cost for labor in the Ohio area? He would be doing roof repairs/flooring/painting etc.
