I'm a 74 yr old mother of 4, grand-mother of 5 and great-grandmother of 4. I've raised kittens for 50+ years (bred Siamese/Himalayans for 14+ yrs). I have 8 spayed/neutered cats currently, .. (7 indoor), have had dogs all of my life, 4 currently, 3 parrots, 1 horse, and 14 head of cattle. I've been married for 57 yrs, and have lived in Texas my whole life. I love animals, and try to give them the love and respect that they're due. I'm much more tolerant of their idiosyncrasies than those of humans! I try to give the best advice that I'm capable of, after the experiences of a lifetime with animals. I have two books that I use, to help answer questions,(Cat Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook, and The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Dogs and Cats). I try not to give harmful advice, and have little patience with those who abuse this website. I enjoy this time of trying to help people who are in distress over their pets.I try to respect all questions.

Does anyone have any good ideas of how to help him with this? I've clapped my hands behind him, banged on things.....no reaction, unless he happens to SEE what I'm doing.
Sometimes, he'll sit in one place and HOWL.......and one of the other cats will run over and "get in his face", which causes him to stop. At night, when he does this, I'll shine a flashlight toward him, and it seems to help him realize that he's not alone.........
Any advice will be appreciated........Thanks........

I recently heard that one of the members of TAPS ( Grant ) is leaving the series. It sounded like he didn't want to leave, but has to.........sick???? Does anyone know? I've read most of them, and am now reading Black Wind, written by Clive & his son Dirk Cussler. In it, Dirk Pitt, SR has 2 kids! There's Sunny & her fraternal twin Dirk, Jr. Since I've never read anything about them, in any of the books that I've read.....I'm wondering who their mom is, and what book she appeared in. Anyone know?????? This is driving me crazy!!! Thanks for your help.......
