  • Do septum piercings stretch over time?

I've been considering getting my septum pierced for a while now. There are a lot of piercing gone wrong stories and stories about people intentionally stretching their septum out. But I ran into a story (that I can't seem to find again) about the jewelry feeling loose and the septum naturally stretching out after a couple of weeks.

Does that usually happen? Has that happened to you or anyone you know?

  • How to make a small computer desk stable?

    Hey guys,

I got a small computer desk for free yesterday. I'm planning to use it during the school year to study and such. But it doesn't seem that stable.

The top of the desk doesn't seem to be too attached to it's legs. And it wiggles a bit and almost pulls apart when i bump it.

Can you give me some tips on how I can get it to be more stable? I was thinking of nailing in a few nails here and there, but I don't really know where?

  • How to shorten recovery time after sex?

    Hey guys,

I know that a guy's penis is supposed to be sensitive after coming, but how long does this sensitivity usually last? My guy gets really sensitive after he comes and it stays that way for a day or so.

Is there anyway to get it so his recovery time is shorter?

I'd really love it if he could reach to point where he could go again after an hour or even a few minutes. Possible?

Has anyone had this problem and gotten over it?

  • Sewing Machine thread tension?

Hey guys, I've got a Shark by Euro-pro. I've been fooling around with it and sewing scrap pieces.

The problem is I can't find the right tension for it. The looks fine but the bottom is just a straight line. You can see the top thread making loops through the bottom side. I've adjusted the bobbin up and down a bit, but I'm a little scared of adjusting it too much a break the thing. Any suggestions?

  • calculus to solve amount of work done?

    Hey guys,

A chain that weighs 5lbs per foot is hanging over a bridge 100 ft above a river. If the chain is 80 fett long, find the work done lifting the chain onto the bridge.

The answer involves either derivations or integrals.

Can any one walk me through this?

  • Partial fraction decomposition?

Hey guys, I just need to "set up the system of equations necessary to find the partial fraction decomposition of"

    (2x^3+3x+5)/(x^2-9)(x^2+2)

This is an old exam question, and i suspect the professor might pull something like it in the final.

Originally, I decomposed (x^2-9)= (x+3)(x-3) and got as far as:

    A/(x+3) + B/(x-3) + (Cx+D)/(x^2 +2)

But I only got 2 outta 6 points for it. Any idea how to get full credit?

IS that convergent of divergent? And it's convergent, can you show me how to find what it converges to?

  • Is it a good idea to start growing chili pepper plants in dorm room? (has anyone tried?)?

I've been thinking of growing peppers for a bit now. I have seeds, but the problem is that I'm stuck in a dorm room for about a month or so. Would it be a good idea to start growing the plants indoors and then moving them when I move back home? Has anyone tried this?

I'm currently in the santa cruz mountains and have a window facing north.

  • Which paint to use on stage (high school theatre)?

We're painting the flats on stage black and I have a choice to between using Rosco's supersaturated (http://www.rosco.com/us/scenic/supersaturated.asp) or Rosco's Off-Broadway (http://www.rosco.com/us/scenic/off_broadway.asp).

Off-Broadway has a cheaper price tag per gallon, but SS has the value since it can be diluted in large ratios.

Can anyone who has experience with this offer input? Any stories or examples or times you used this would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

  • What's your favorite chili recipe?

We're a chili cook-off at school and I was wondering if anyone had really GREAT chili recipes and/or stories.

I'm looking for something that's a little spicy and filling ( meaning: not weak or watery). It could be any kind, but combinations of veggies and meat are preferred.

I tried to look up some recipes online, but there's just so many and I got so lost. Thank you in advance for replying!

  • Is this a good fund-raising idea?

So for the Valentine's Day fund-raiser, one of the clubs I'm in has decided to make clay hearts with love messages on them. We're planning on using cookie cutters to cut them out, inscribing words into them, baking, painting, and maybe attaching beads, ribbons, glitter, etc. to each heart. Each buyer would choose what their heart says.

We were thinking maybe making some necklaces or key chains with the clay hearts too.

Would you buy this? What are some good ways to jazz it up? Do you have any other suggestions for this?

Has anyone done this, or a fund raiser resembling this, before? What were your results?

  • Which is the best clay to use?

So for the Valentine's Day fund-raiser, one of the clubs I'm in has decided to make clay hearts with love messages on them. We're planning on using cookie cutters to cut them out, inscribing customized messages, baking, painting, and maybe attaching beads, ribbons, glitter, etc. to each heart.

Does anyone have suggestions for which clay to use?

I tried out Sculpey, and it was easy to work with and made a decent heart, but I hear that it is very fragile. I've heard of Premo, but it sounds hard to work with and I don't know if it's good for this kind of project.

We're going to go buy more brands to try them out, but it'd be a lot easier if anyone can give us any hints or tips.

The clay needs to be relatively easy to work with, strong (not likely to crack from everyday handling), and relatively cheap (we're trying to make a profit)
