  • How can I help my dog overcome her fear of bathing?

The issue isn't not being able to give her a bath, it's her having a FEAR that I need to take care of. Her being able to bathe is important, but it's more important that she is comfortable with water like she should be, especially since she is a lab mix and should be able to enjoy being in water.

I've wondered whether the problem was the tub, because it is kind of small and maybe she doesn't like how it feels or looks, so I've tried for a long time to condition her to it, by rewarding her for being near it and letting her in the bathroom while i showered to try to get her to see that it wasn't going to hurt anyone...but it didn't change her reaction to it, and she started going in the bathroom more and chewing up toilet paper, so i couldn't keep letting her in there so much.

I've tried spraying her with a hose and such but it's more wet and messy than i would like. She won't jump in the tub after a ball.

How can I get her to not fear the bathtub? Please try to give answers that you have actually seen work.

  • Which rat gender would be better for me?

I like the males because they are big, but there are other more important factors for me to look at. I want one that is affectionate, interesting, energetic, cuddly, lovable, but won't get out of my 36inby13in aquarium with a top that my young small Chilean rose hair tarantula escaped. And one that should be able to be litter trained maybe easier and possibly trained (tricks, commands) And I'd also like to be able to take it places with me as well.

Please give me a male or female answer!! You can add details and info and all i'm open to info but this is more of a vote thing and i need to decide on a gender. I asked this sort of question before, i had like 4 responses but only 2 people really gave me a solid MALE or FEMALE it was frustrating!

    THANX

  • What does Jack's Aquarium and Pets usually charge for a rat?

I go to the one in Canal Winchester, Ohio, if that helps.

And are the rats healthy looking? I haven't been there in a while

And what "breeds" (dumbo, hooded, standard, w.e.) do they have?

    Thanks!!!!!!

  • What would be the right animal for me?

I want something fluffy, cuddly, interactive, and relatively affordable (as in, not a $60-100 pet) . Something small would be fine. I don't have a cage for anything which sucks ice all i have is a 36" by 13" aquarium but apparently they aren't ventilated enough for such a pet as far as i know.I was looking at a bunny, but caging and toys and all that seems to expensive for my PARENTS to consider. I want a cat SO BAD but haven't been allowed to get one. Been trying for like a year, well maybe just a few months.

    Suggestions?

  • Would a 36" by 13" aquarium be safe for...?

With the top off, on an about 3 or so foot high stand, would it be safe for a bunny? I've kept a guinea pig and mice in it previously with no problem. I want the top off because it's not like the rabbit would try to jump out and i wanna make sure it's airy because it doesn't have bars. It'd be kinda like a pet store enclosure... would it be safe? And yes, yes i know, "get a rabbit hutch or rabbit cage you'll be much better off, blah blah" well duh just answer the question kindly.

  • Should i get this rabbit?

My friend has like 30 plus rexes and mini rexes in okay condition at their house living outside in various hutches and cages. believe they is some sort of backyard breeding going on, IDK. Well anyways they offered me this one red and white (likely mini) rex about 6 months old, a male badly in need of a bath, said they had one too many and needed to give him a different home. I have a dog, 2 budgies, a cockatiel, and a tarantula (possibly). Should i take this bunny in??

  • Is my tarantula going to get any bigger?

I got a Chilean rose haired tarantula (I'm hoping female but i won't know till she molts) from a pet store. She is about 4 inches long when standing still and her legs aren't that thick. Will she get any bigger? I don't know her age, the people at the pet store were idiots, but is she young and immature and going to get bigger??
