Married almost 23 years and have 2 great daughters (ages 16 & 21). I love to knit, read and cook. I have psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, several clotting disorders, high blood pressure and more. One of my goals in life is to tell people about these invisible diseases. Very ill people don't always look ill. At times I feel like wearing a sign around my neck! LOL I find a sense of humor to be vital! lol

  • Does anyone personally know about IV-Ports?

I have psoriatic arthritis and quite a few other health problems. After years of having 'difficult' veins and "roly' veins, I have been told I will need a port for my Remicaid treatments. I don't want to get into Remicaid here, because I have already taken it but now I will try it again with MTX. I am very worried about not healing well, because people with PA don't do that very well. I would suppose I will keep the port for years. The Dr's office said they's call when the insurance says ok. That should be this week. But I'm very edgy about this as I always get an infection after surgery. Thank you in advance!

  • How to get rid of tarantulas in my TX yard?

We have lived in this home for 4 years (but in Texas longer without this problem). Every year our tarantula population grows. Several got into the house last year. No one hurt yet, but very scared of them. Some have walked all the way to the front door and then just died there. We think they died waiting to get in. It's not even hitting the 90's yet, so I doubt they want to use my a.c. We have had more than usual rain, but this is not the cause. 2 years ago one was dead in garage right next to door leading into my home. The ones we've found this year are babies.

I want to pour gas down the holes and then put a big rock on top. My husband refuses to do anything. But I seem to be the only one with the nerve to catch them in a pickle jar. Help, I'm running out pickle jars!!!!! I really just want them to all go away.
